Yeah, don't he and his wife rock?! Actually a bunch of us "core folks" from the EB crossing last year are still active on another thread (including Hoagie Pie and CACruisin....I think gismo might still be posting there now and again, too)....and I've been trying to apply pressure there for more of them to join us on this trip. That journey was one of Jason and I's most amazing experiences ever...not only because the trip itself is so phenomenal...but all the close friends we made on that journey.

I do try to pop in over there occassionally! It was an amazing cruise and when we did the West Bound one we missed you and Jason on pirate night in your fantastic costumes!

For the last Transatlantic, the person that did the lanyards ordered them early and mailed them out ahead of time. I'd be willing to pay extra for postage so you won't have to schlep them to Spain.

we will be happy to pay extra postage too

Thank you! :thumbsup2

One more question....DCL website is saying that rates start at $999 does anyone think that will be the case or do you think they will just stick with the $1099 to start?

I know the WB cost more then the EB last time. I think this time though more people are going to skip this one bc it is going in Sept vs Aug. I am thinking this ship might be less full then DCL is thinking.

Sitting here weighing cabin options with my DH. The wait till Tuesday is killing me!!!

Hey Brooklyn, I think the $999 is for the 3rd, 4th, etc. person in the cabin. Not for rates starting with you and your husband. I think it is in the fine print down the bottom. We booked at the beginning and nothing changed but my daughter's rate on the EB.

The only rates that went down were the Cat 12s. Looks like this time around they are just starting out with the lower rate, knowing the ship will not be full.

Most of us who took advantage of the sale switched from a higher category down to the 12. I think one family ended up staying in a 12, others got 11, 10 and 9s. I don't think anyone got upgraded higher than a 9 from a 12. Many others got upgrades too though. Todd (Captain Jack) got upgraded from a 6 to a 4.

I got an 11 but paid for a 12!

Todd did they automaticaly upgrade you before the cruise or at the port? I know someone got one at the port but I can't remember who lol I don't pay enough attention

They upgraded me at about the 30 day mark if I remember correctly :thumbsup2

Bumping up my question so it doesn't get lost:) I presume this is ok to do, I am new on here:)

I'm using Dream Unlimited this time as they have very generous onboard credits and they are affiliated with the Disboards - see the sponsor on this page. I'm sure there are lots of other great Disney Cruise Line agents around too.

I was happy with the company I used last time but they often took a while to get back to me.

Ok cool....well if this group decides that group lanyards are something they'd like to do.....I did the lanyards for the recent Double Dip and they were a big hit....

Great news! I didn't want to reuse my Double Dip Lanyard and now I won't have to! I'm happy to pay extra for shipping to our home too!

Also, what room types is everyone going for?popcorn::

Actually that's not 100% true...maybe for the Westbound TA's it was. But for the Eastbound in May of 2007, which Jason and I were on, we booked it right out of the gate (just like we're doing for htis one) and the price did indeed drop significantly over time once the cruise got closer and they started discounting prices to try to fill the ship. We were originally booked on that cruise in a Cat.7 and by the time they were done with offering discounts and lowering our balance due....we were able to switch from our Cat 7 to a Cat 4 at basically no additional cost.

Yes, sorry, was speaking of the WB, ours only discounted the 12s. But good to know that other cruises had discounts on different categories. Maybe we'll see that for this one.

Wow, now that would be nice - we are still conflicted about which room to book. We typically do the cat 9 but for 14 days....a balcony sure would be nice :confused3

Hi guys. We(meaning I at the moment;) ) are thinking of this cruise. Does anyone know the deposit required for this one please? Thanks.

It's $600 per person but if you book online this month you can take advantage of the 50% off deposit thing so its $300

What are you all thinking to do airfare wise? One way fares are ridiculous to/from this side of the Atlantic.

Thanks for the info! :thumbsup2

Let's hope that happens on this one too! Wishful thinking, I know, but one can hope!

We did bot TA last year and I agree the trip back to the UK from the States was bad enough so I'm guessing you guys have the same issue. I'm not sure what we're going to do yet I think just hope for the best and shell out a fortune lol. At least we get cheap flights to Barcelona which helps

Oh and my $600 refers to Cats 4-12 I think its $800 for Cats 1-3

Oh, we won't be in a Cat 1-3!!!

I'm in the UK too and struggling with this airfare thing. One way is more than double the return fare.

I know. The cheapest we got last year was BA and that was more expensive than my flight in 2 weeks to Florida return! My hope is that we don't have to pay as much again.

Last time I paid $930.10 for a single from MCO to LGW with BA if that's anything to go by and £86.49 for Cardiff to Barcelona. I'm estimating around the £750 for the two mark but leaving myself £1000 to cover it all
