Many places (especially offices) are closed today. However, as always, the mall is open! All of the jobs I have ever worked at have always been open on Labor Day, however I don't have to work today. It's also kind of like the 'last' weekend of summer since most schools start back tomorrow (though many have already started throughout the country). Many people get together and have BBQ's and cookouts to celebrate.

finish last FE gift
food shopping to lay in stores for 2 DS staying at home
trip to Wal-mart for last minute discoveries of stuff we don't have for trip
laundry
charge iPod
finish packing
early bedtime (I hope)

I went to Macy's this weekend and the sales were amazing! I made out like a champ! I found a formal dress, 2 pair of capri pants, jacket, shirt, etc. Dress is already at the cleaner's. I've been packing (also known as throwing stuff into suitcases with the intention to organize it before I leave) this weekend. I'm impressed with everyone who is already packed! And guess what I just realized.....

ONE WEEK FROM TODAY WE WILL BE ON OUR WAY TO BARCELONA!!!!!​

...and now back to packing!

Good Morning everyone! The B2Ber's are leaving soon and I am so excited for you. I will be thinking of you every day!

It seems everyone is feeling better and the aftershocks calmed down - a bit! Weather in Florida is still unbelieveably HOT! We broke a few records and there might be more.

Mandy - if you are looking for a scream when I get to the port, I am usually not a screamer in general, not even scary rides or childbirth, I will give you a little scream and a hug!!! My twin will get a hug too!!!

Woody - good to hear from you. Sounds like you are having a blast - enjoy Amsterdam!

Abby did school today even though Public and Private have off. They don't get off for a wonderful cruise though, so mom made her work.

I need to start packing and weighing. I am taking Abby shopping tomorrow for maybe some "fun" stuff.

You sound like you really got some good deals!! We are still organizing our packing as well as we have WAY too much stuff!!

Hi all was away at a cottage with no internet the last few days. Though I did try and keep up on my cell phone. It would take me an hour to read three pages.

My hubby has found my pink Boa And to make it a full set he added a princess banner and I unicorn septer

I looked at him and said and you want me to actually pack this

He has no clue what we are packing. He thinks we have loads of room.

I was thinking when I take the FE gifts and the chocolate out we will have more room.

Then it hit me we will be getting more back. Hubby says we will just have to eat all the chocolate bars

I still have lots to do.

Which I am going to do right now.

I have been following about Paula I am so glad you are safe.

NO jewelery yet. But still hopeful.

Ok off to make my mickey mouse t-shirts now

I am packing a large cup. When I was on the cruise last time, and got something to eat at Pluto's, get my drink, etc. By the time I got back to my table, I was done drinking. They now give you the tiny little cups. I had to get up 6 times during my lunch. I am packing a big cup - is anybody else doing this ridiculous thing or just me?????

I'm going to try and keep up from this point forward. Mom's visit was fun....just what I needed. Moms know best, don't you know! One thing we did was go to a local ice cream parlor that is working its way to become national name. I can't believe I've never gone to Jeni's, which is just down the street from me. I've heard so much about their unique flavors, but never have taken the time to stop by or pick up a $12 pint at the gourmet markets. Wow was it ever delish!!! I got Bangkok Peanut that has a spicy kick that slowly explodes in your mouth and Sweet Corn & Black Raspberries that was incredible! I want to get back there before another seasonal flavor, Goat Cheese with Roasted Red Cherries, goes away.

I'm also doing the single digit dance today. Sad thing is that it just hit me yesterday that I was at T-10!! Needless to say a good week and a half really slipped by too quickly.

One "tragedy" from the weekend is that my cell phone has had its last day of operation. It just won't fully boot up. So I've been busy researching suggestions for a new phone. This morning I ordered the Droid 2. I am SO happy to change from AT&T to Verizon service. It's just bad timing for many reasons. I seem to recall that it was maybe Sandi who said she found that there's a minimal fee to have the international texting service. So I need to look into that as soon as the phone arrives.

I'm working on my time change adjustment to minimize the jet lag. Although I woke up at 4:30 am this morning (and unable to fall back asleep), I only had 4.5 hours of sleep. So I'm hopeful that I'll just collapse around 9:00 pm and get into a real schedule!

I hope you all are doing okay, and for those still facing challenges, big to you and for resolutions!

Well, I need to keep up my momentum of being productive, so off I go!

For everyone in the USA no working, I hope you're having a nice Labor Day!

I think I'm going to have the room, so I will be packing up a lidded cup. Otherwise, I'll use the cup in the Silver Castaway Club gift at times. You just have to remember that for sanitary reasons, you're not permitted to fill up your own cup from the dispensers. So you still get to waste a cup, but like you said, it's less filling.

My friend, who is going through radiation, asked me to take her shopping again. We are headed out to Pleasanton to the mall. I CANNOT purchase anything....I CANNOT purchase anything....I am packed. I have to remember that!

I leave Friday for Charlotte and then Saturday or Sunday to Rome. Arrive Barcelona the 15th or16th. My plans have changed so many times I'm just not sure which.

That means I only have three more full days....hurray!

Glad it's not just me! We have 2 large lidded cups ready to pack too, for that very reason!

I don't bring an extra. I usually fill the Castaway Club gift cup with soda/tea and their cup with ice to minimize trips.

Hi there. Just checking in as I'm otherwise engaged in real life duties over the next couple of days. It's 'that' time of year so it's all about getting my youngest son ready to return to school. I'm a little sad, as it's his final year in the 6th Form, but he goes back as a senior prefect, Head of House Music and football captain so I'm incredibly proud too!!

Anyway, I AM here - just a little more distracted than usual...
