As long as it's not a stinky one! :rotfl2:

Too funny! But you know, you can find someone to be offended by almost anything anymore. I figure as long as no one is being hurt by it, just shrug it off.

From FB:

Paula Sillars ‎- state of emergency has been declared - we have now got power back - we are lucky - much of the city out of power and water is off and could be off for days... I need a holiday!

Paula Sillars all these earthquakes are making me feel seasick - its good practise looking on the bright side! We are all very unnerved by these aftershocks though...

I have talk to my doctor about combining my sleeping pill I take at night with the Xanex...I can just imagine being totally zonked out and drooling on the seat! LOL!!

As long as you don't drool to the right!!!!

I can't figure out how you do the link with words instead of the web address. Can you help me, Noel?

Yes, I can. when you are in quote mode, type the word "Cathy". The copy the web address. Where you see a world symbol in the quote mode, click on it. Paste the web address into the box. You can check to make sure it works by previewing your post before you post it.

It should look like this Cathy

I guess I'm being technically challenged because this is what I come up with:

Cathyhttp://www.gocomics.com/cathy/2010/07/06

I can't seem to make the web address "disappear".

What you need to do is highlight only the word "Cathy". Then, you click on the world logo. Next you paste the web address into the box that came up when you clicked on the world logo. Check it by previewing the post before you make the post.

Should look like this:

Cathy

I did it!! Thanks, Noel!! It was the highlight part I was missing. And, I didn't even need to do it in quote mode.

Noel, or anyone else who might know - Regarding the Skywalk tour in Gilbraltar, did you buy the return ticket or the single? How long of a walk is it back down the rock? Are the other attractions on the way down? As always, thanks for your help. Val

Top of the Rock to St. Michael's Cave: 900 meters
St. Michael's Cave to Apes' Den: 750 meters
Apes' Den to Great Siege Tunnels: 1500 meters
Great Siege Tunnels to Moorish Castle (Tower of Homage): 600 meters (it looks like less but there are a couple of switchbacks)

Of course, you don't have to go to all of the sites, only the ones that interest you.

Thanks all for your concern, prayers and pixie dust!

We actually live in Christchurch so are right in the middle of it, we are considering ourselves terribly fortunate that we have no damage other than some broken items in the kitchen - mugs, casserole dishes etc.

Other parts of the city are not so lucky, I have two friends with their chimney's now in their homes. Robert's Mum has her neighbors chimney on her lawn - it just missed the house.

We are still having massive aftershocks and tremors nearly 8 hours later and this could go on for days if not weeks.

A state of emergency has been declared and the city is off limits as many buildings are damaged majorly. I think the airport is still closed but they are hoping to open it soon. They might have to evacuate some neighbourhoods soon though so its not over yet.

Luckily with it happening at 4.30am, there were few people out and about - it would have been much worse if it happened 12 hours earlier when people were in the city on a Friday afternoon!

On the bright side, its a gorgeous day and we have power to our home - much of the city is still without. Water could be an issue in the next few days though!

We are all glad that you are ok. House and possessions can be replaced!!
