November or December trip - pros and cons?

I have been doing a trip in January the last few years and usually enjoy it. The weather is mild for Florida and the Festival of the Arts is going on. I did December one year, short trip, but enjoyed it except for the crowds. January is better in that respect.

Just to add to the weather expectations-- don't do what we did and expect comfortable or even slightly cool weather in November/December. We went to WDW late Nov-early Dec 2022 and assumed we'd be in lovely comfortable 70's territory and instead were in humid as Hades upper 80's the entire two weeks. Probably not the norm, but having certain expectations temperature-wise really put a damper on things when it didn't pan out that way, haha.

yes, as many have said, weather is unpredictable in Nov-Dec. I am from the North east and am used to cold, but I have had to wear a winter coat, cap and mitts to watch fireworks during those months. I have also had times when it was warm and we wore shorts and tshirts. Watch the forecast before you go and bring clothes for almost any weather. You will likely need it!

We went Dec 6 -16th in 2021 and that was out first non Summer trip and we loved it. It was a lot cooler and the Christmas decorations we awesome. We have a trip coming up in November and are looking forward to it.

Like others have said, I've been a number of times in Dec. and have had just about everything weather wise. I will say, since I'm from Georgia, it's never been shorts weather for me. I have been able to wear just some lighter leggings and a long sleeve shirt but never shorts. But, again, I'm from Georgia and if it gets below 75, most of us are wearing at least long pants and long sleeves. I was there last year the first week in Dec. and most days started out with a jacket (hoody type) and during the day was able to get away with a long sleeve shirt. At night, I had on a hat, heavier coat and gloves. It rained about 2 out of 4 days as well. I was there that same week the year before and while no rain, I did still have to wear a scarf, heavier jacket and hat at night and a lighter hoody during the day. It didn't rain that year. I've been the week before Christmas and was cold all the time but it was sunny. Crowds were, well crowds. It depends on what you think are heavier crowds and what your tolerance is for them. I don't remember any bottle neck places except the usual around PP at MK but waits were not walk ons either.
LOL, I'm from No. Mn. and 75 sounds on the hot side to us:) 80 is horrible in the summer and we can't wait for fall temps. So, it's all relative to where you live. We used to live in Tn. and our first trip to WDW was in mid July!!! We were fine but noticed others melting in the heat.
We have gone to WDW a lot of times the first 2 weeks of December and it has always been good weather (maybe a little rain) if a little too cool for some. Our favorite was the first 2 weeks of November for the weather and lower crowds. Nowadays I dont even know when there are lower crowds, if ever. We haven't been back since 2020 right before covid.
