Thank you! Thank you! Everyone is very excited and some B2B'Ber's already left. We plan on relaxing and enjoy everything. This group has been through quite a bit over the last several months and we are ready to put that all behind us for 2 wonderful weeks!

Just wanted to pop in and say enjoy your cruise! DH and I did the EBTA and absolutely loved it. I know you are going to have a blast. If I can give everyone one recommendation, just sit back, relax and enjoy. Things aren't neccesarily going to go as you planned (look at us we were having to deal with the volcano ash as we were getting ready to disembark) but that is part of traveling. The unexpected.

Safe travels and HAVE FUN!!!:goodvibes

LOL you would if you were 30! I was ID'd for wine in Marks on Saturday yet I have silver streaks that look nuts! Its mad!

When you are almost 60, you will kill to be as we call it in America, carded!! My sister was going gray at 25 so I know what you mean. My hair didn't go white until I was in my late 40's. Now I am completely white in the front and have to add dark highlights to my blonde hair to give it definition.

Oh there's a thought! I wonder if my Dragons speak would work on this? Could get it to read it for me!

Would love to get your opinion on Dragon. My son's teacher recommended it, but I haven't known anyone else how had it.

Occassionally at home when I use firefox it appears but it never appears in work! Trust me you are not alone! Dunno what goes on with it but its very annoying some day especially with like 10 pages of quotes to go through. Occassionally Ill open like 10 seperate replies and copy and paste into one post but its such hard work!

I use Firefox at home and, outside of some problems I was having a couple of months ago, it works fine. Sometimes all you can do is scratch your head...it's one of those things that make you go "hmmmmmmmmmmm??"

I have tried to contact them 2-3x's regarding my daughter's sign in and multi-quote but have never heard from them. Oh well!!

Have had that happen too. And then sometimes I get a reply right away. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm? :confused3

Connie's son is also poorly right now. He has been for a good week or so, with a sinus infection. She said on FB yesterday that his is still sick and has some more antibiotics and hopes he is well by Tuesday when they fly. So do we Connie!! That might be a painful flight for him if he still has sinus problems.:sad2:

P&PD for him. :wizard: Prayers that everyone who has problems/illness gets them settled and gone.

Thank you! Thank you! Everyone is very excited and some B2B'Ber's already left. We plan on relaxing and enjoy everything. This group has been through quite a bit over the last several months and we are ready to put that all behind us for 2 wonderful weeks!

AMEN!!

Meant to respond yesterday but forgot. My son signed up prior to being 13 and I never could get anyone to activate his account. I sent emails, I pm'd several moderators, but no one ever responded. I finally just had him create another account and fudged his age.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:Magic Knockers!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Made my day!!:rotfl:
Occasionally I'd like some magic knockers - for instance when the ones I've got don't fill a dress or top properly... ;)

Oh I hope the damage isn't too bad. Tortola is a really beautiful island with lovely people.
Same here... ::yes::

It gorgeous in scotland today, a great day for shopping, NOT, back to phone shop, return a shirt to burtons, bought short sleeved instead of long, Len looks fab in his black shirt and trousers:lovestruc
Then last night my eagle eye Mum noticed that a swirly thing was falling off the new purple dress (thats what happens when you have a seamstress mum) normally I would just sew it but it was 130 quid so I am not messing with it, going to swap it today hopefully they will have another one....
Tell my my little cruise peeps.why is everything a hassle? :upsidedow
Hope you got the dress sorted, Lynne...

Can't get any shapewear, and I went to get my 'formal' dress lifted on the shoulders to be told the seamstress is on holiday and it would be 2 weeks.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Anyway she will do it the morning she returns to work and it will be ready the afternoon before we leave. Why do i leave things to the last minute? One reason was finding somewhere to do it. Our normal place closed down, and the dry cleaners only do hems and the like, so it took a while to notice this place.
Have you looked in Next for shapewear, Marilyn??? I happened to notice in their catalogue that they do a range...

Hope your dress gets altered OK... :goodvibes

That's a shame. I'm suffering myself at the mo (today is NOT a good day) and it's no flippin' fun... :sad2:

Hope your flight gets you out as planned. Thankfully Earl wasn't near as bad as it could have been.

Here in extreme SE Virginia, we are thankful for the very rainy day. After having battened down the hatches just in case, I'll be happy to get the lawn furniture out again safely.

Counting the days to be on the Magic!

Theresa 8-)
Glad to hear Earl wasn't too disruptive... :thumbsup2

Noel, or anyone else who might know - Regarding the Skywalk tour in Gilbraltar, did you buy the return ticket or the single? How long of a walk is it back down the rock? Are the other attractions on the way down? As always, thanks for your help. Val

I love Ziggy - I have been meaning to say something about your picture, but I kept forgetting. I have a little stuffed one that I got when I was 8, still have him with me.

I love Ziggy, too. Was my nickname in high school among my closest friends. Always enjoyed his cartoon and the sense of humor in them. Sadly, I don't have the stuffed Ziggy I got for graduation anymore . . .too much decluttering to move two years ago . . . Glad you still have yours :)

See ya soon!

Val:

This is what we bought and gives all the details you asked about in your post.

Cable Car - Apes - Viewpoint - Multimedia - Nature Reserve Attractions - Gibraltar Bus Pass
Adult Single: £17.50 Child Single: £11.50
Adult Return: £19.00 Child Return: £12.00
Contact us for group (20 or more persons)/alternate bookings

If you have more time and you want to enjoy a stroll around the Nature reserve then try our 'Skywalk' ticket which combines the exhilaration of the Cable Car ride with access to the Nature Reserve including the other attractions. Take that 6 minute ride up to 412m above sea level and enjoy the multimedia tour, the views all in the company of our friendly but wild apes. After a hot or cold drink and a light snack return the Multimedia unit and head off 800m downhill towards St Michael's Cave. After marvelling at it's splendour you can continue your walk a further 900m where you can visit with some more apes at Apes Den. The choice then is to catch the Cable Car back down to town or continue northwards another 2km in the direction of the Great Siege Tunnels. If you feel up to the walk you will be rewarded by a fantastic piece of tunnelling that is more than 200 years old and marvel at the work of the soldiers who lived, worked and slept in them.

Alternatively if you are not interested in St Michael's Cave you can head north 1.6km straight to the Great Siege Tunnels from the Cable Car Top Station and then walk down into town. The no4 bus also makes it's way up to Moorish Castle.

See maps page for details.

SkyWalk includes:
Cable Car ticket (options single or return and child or adult)
Multimedia Tour (hand held guide included in adult ticket only and for use exclusively within the Cable Car Top Station)
Apes (The apes are wild animals and roam freely throughout the Upper Rock area. However they are usually seen at both the Cable Car Top and Middle Station otherwise known as Apes Den.)
Nature Reserve entrance ticket - Entrance to: St Michael's Cave, Great Siege Tunnels, City Under Siege Exhibition, Moorish Castle and 100 Ton Gun. (this ticket must be redeemed at the Cable Cart ticket office BEFORE entering any of the sights.) The Nature Reserve ticket must be used on the same day as the Cable Car ticket, see below.)
FREE Gibraltar Bus Pass (adult or child one day bus pass). This must be collected from the Gibraltarinfo kiosk on the Spanish side of the Gibraltar/Spanish land frontier.
The SkyWalk ticket can be used on any given day within 12 months from the date of purchase. E-ticket must be exchanged at the Cable Car ticket office and is valid for the day of exchange only. The Nature Reserve ticket must be used on the same day as the Cable Car ticket.

N.B. This is NOT an organised tour

Bless him! Give him a hug from me Connie! Hope he feels better soon! Definately going to be a hard flight with a sinus infection!

Noel - Thanks for responding. Did you elect to get the single or the return? I seems the return is a roundtrip on the cable car. What I couldn't determine was how long and strenuous the walk down would be and if st michael's cave and the castle are on the way down. Guess I need to find a map and look at it. val

My family always make fun of me. My sister got her first grey hair at 30 I got mine at 15! Now my streaks have gone from grey to silver and Dan keeps finding them everywhere! Honestly they are proper silver now mixed in with dark brown so its quite odd!

As for being carded, I was flabbergasted as haven't been in the UK since I was 15. In fact on my sisters 18th when I was 14 I was allowed into a bar and she was stopped and carded lol! It took me by complete surprise and I couldn't stop laughing! Luckily my driving liscense didn't expire until Tuesday.

Hi all,

Lauren and I leave for London on Monday!! :cool1: Looks like it will be raining during our entire stay. :sad2: Can any of you Londoners and UK residents help me with a little cloud clearing? :goodvibes Thanks in advance!! :thumbsup2

If it does rain, we are not going to let it ruin our visit!!

Its alright actually. Have quite an old version as was given it when I got my laptop for uni so like 10 years ago. It works, has a few quirks and sometimes I don't understand what they are saying but it work on most things. I don't use it that often mind as I don't really need it but it was free so I wasn't going to argue it.

Thanks for knowing that. I had Abby make a new account because she is 13 now and it says that the e-mail is already in use by someone else (her!) so she cannot post anything because for that e-mail, they still have her down as 12! It is very frustrating. This is for the "kid" site too!

Dont remember how long but things like St Michaels cave are on the walk down so there are things to see. From what I remember though the walk down is along a road with no path so be warned. And they are steep! On the 2007 EBTA someone broke their ankle while walking in Gibraltar walking down. If you take it steady youre fine just give yourselves plenty of time!

Bit of a cheat but what about opening a yahoo account then use this address to sign up to here. Then she could get the yahoo account to automatically forward emails form here? Ive done that before where I've had issues similar myself (email not working for a website but says Im already registered).

LOL if we could we would I promise you. Weve got what looks to be a nice weekend and then here comes the rain again! Oh how I love UK weather!

We paid for the one way trip and assumed we would walk down. I used this website as a reference for the one way trip. I don't know how steep is is however if that is a concern.

http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g187510-i1247-k2912289-Cable_Car_vs_taxi_tour-Gibraltar.html

It's a maximum 10 minute walk from the station at the top to St Michael's Cave.

We got off the cable car at the top and then walked down to see the caves, then walked some more to see the apes and then walked some more to see the tunnel. By the time we had finished this we were almost at the bottom so ended up walking down the rest of the way. So we wasted the return cost of the cable car as we did not want to walk back UP to the cable car.

If you are able to walk up and down hills I would recommend paying the 14 pounds for the cable car up and the sites and then just walk down. Do not waste the extra on the return cable ride. It was hot and stuffy and we were in the middle of about 12 people on the car so saw very little going up.
