As I see many of you catch flights to Barcelona, I wish you a fantastic trip. See you on the boat. If you forget any essential item (even a pirate's patch) tell me and I will do what I can to find it. Greetings to all. Enjoy very much (I work until the 17th, so you give me a lot of envy). By the way could you say to me what clothes are adapted for the dinners ? Should we dress for dinner of the villains?
Actually, I am a perfect Cruella de Vil, even without disguise or at least that's what my kids say.

For regular nights I think were just wearing jeans and smart top. For Villians I am wearing a Fascinator (like a head band with feathers on) but other than that nothing special. Love the Cruella comment! The way my hair is at the moment I think Ill go for that too :rotfl:

If anybody has extra time (yeah right) but Erik and Jason's travel blog is funny and definitely keeps your interest. I cannot wait till they get to the Med! I was wondering if they will update it every day and so far they have WITH pictures!!! Still trying to get a glimpse of the lanyard, but no such luck!:rotfl2:

Well....not perfect....but better than the first. I'm not sure where I went wrong this time. Thought I did all my responses the same, but obviously I forgot something. So sorry if this hurts your eyes. :upsidedow

Dont worry I rarely even get the multiquote button showing up so never have any luck with this

I never get the multi-quote button. I thought I was the only one. I stand corrected, I did get it once when I didn't need it! Why is that, do you know?

And it takes so much time each day keepig up with the posts here... what to do, if only i could train my computer (or kids) to read everything out to me while i packed :rotfl2:

Oh there's a thought! I wonder if my Dragons speak would work on this? Could get it to read it for me!

Just had a moment to pop on before leaving for school and wanted to wish all of you Bon Voyage and safe travels. Nursing school started this week. I'm almost never on DIS anymore. I love school and am glad to be here, but I'll also be thinking about all of you and the fun you are having each day while on your trip of a lifetime!:)

BON VOYAGE

Cannot believe we will be flying to Barcelona two weeks from today....just seems like we booked this cruise....OK...we booked it 2 years ago but it does seem like time has flown by......
Tom:cool1:

I know exactly what you mean! 2 weeks from right now I'll be in complete panic mode doing the final packing before my flight. We have to leave for the airport around 3:00pm so this will be the worst part of the day for me! Can't believe we booked this almost 2 years ago. It just seems so sureal!

Hi everyone. 2 weeks from now I'll be waiting in the Cleveland airport to head to JFK (New York) to begin our travels :cheer2: So excited and trying not to think about what "could" happen if there are any storms out there.

I was wondering if anyone has previously done the Bath tour at Virgin Gorda. I am most curious about how strenuous the inclines are climbing up and down the rocks and/or the hike to/from the Baths. Are the ladder ropes fairly easy to climb up? (no upper arm strength here!) I've seen some pictures and the rocks you have to "squeeze" through look a little narrow for pooh sized folks and I sure don't want to get stuck! :headache:

Also, what kind of footwear do you wear? It looks from pictures like you should have on tennis shoes....but then you go through water so I'm not sure. Do you wear tennis shoes heading down to the Baths and then switch to water shoes?

I've been trying to get in extra walking this past week and will continue up until we cruise to help build up some stamina but I'm sort of concerned the Baths climbing may be too much. Anyone know?

Linda

Skinny Cow is Much better!:thumbsup2

Annie:rolleyes1

Oh yeah! We especially like the mint flavor cones.

Hope the horrible hurricane doesn't cause too much trouble ... it must be so scary for you all leaving under the threat of it. Hope you have a safe journey and a wonderful Med cruise. See you in 13 days

We're not far from the coast in VA, and all we've had is cloudy weather...not even much wind!?! Thank heavens the storm seems to be going farther out to sea than they thought.

I never get the multi-quote button. I thought I was the only one. I stand corrected, I did get it once when I didn't need it! Why is that, do you know?

The only time I don't see the multi-quote button is when I'm not logged in. Maybe you should contact the folks who run the board?

Occassionally at home when I use firefox it appears but it never appears in work! Trust me you are not alone! Dunno what goes on with it but its very annoying some day especially with like 10 pages of quotes to go through. Occassionally Ill open like 10 seperate replies and copy and paste into one post but its such hard work!

Thanks for stoppping by! Have fun at school!

I have tried to contact them 2-3x's regarding my daughter's sign in and multi-quote but have never heard from them. Oh well!!

relaxing? I hate it, it takes forever, I get ants in my pants after 30 mins thinking all what I should be doing.

When I am at my hairdresser's we chat or as you guys might say natter about everything!! She also does my DD Samantha's hair so we chat about her as well.

Yesterday, we spent the entire time talking about my cruise. While I waiting for my hair to process, I reviewed my Barcelona walks book to determine good routes to the Picasso Museum, places for lunch and things we want to see on Wednesday. So as you can see, I made good use of my time.

Thanks again, I have decided to add the cable car, which also includes the use of an audio guide at the top station. For an extra EUR3.50, you really can't beat it.

Thanks for posting the link for the map. I knew that one had been posted, but I did not dare trying to find it. I still have no clear idea where the ferry terminal is that we need to get to for the boat tour, but I am sure we can work it out.
Why don't you PM Michael (mdwoodman) and see if would do a map for you to the ferry terminal?

It is amazing how different people are. We used to do this and felt rotten for days. In 2006, we opted to stay at a hotel near Heathrow for one night after coming back from Los Angeles and as there was nothing to do and we did not have the energy to go into London for sightseeing, we went to bed at around 10 AM. We briefly woke up around dinner time, had a quick bite to eat and then went to sleep again until 9:00 AM the following morning. We felt completely back to normal afterwards. So ever since then, we always go to bed as soon as we get back from the airport.

That is my normal jet lag so this time I am trying to switch time zones here to see if it will help.

That looks great. Thanks to Connie and Noel for arranging this for us.

Most of the credit goes to Connie!!

I am sorry that Tortola took some damage from the Hurricane. I hope that it is not too bad and that they recover from this quickly.

Corinna

We had only planned to go into town and not snorkel so we will be bringing some income to the economy.

I think shes on the B2B so will be flying out soon. I assume she's in manic pack mode!

Connie's son is also poorly right now. He has been for a good week or so, with a sinus infection. She said on FB yesterday that his is still sick and has some more antibiotics and hopes he is well by Tuesday when they fly. So do we Connie!! That might be a painful flight for him if he still has sinus problems.:sad2:

Just stopping by.

Seems "Earl" has been good to the kids around here as well as the government workers. Schools and colleges are closed. It did not prevent me from checking in for my flight tomorrow to NY, So fingers crossed I will be on that flight tomorrow night.

You can tell there is a storm coming becasue it is ominious outside. I guess that is wear the phrase "calm before the storm" came from.:thumbsup2

Welcome to all the new people. Safe journey for all the B2B folks.

For those folks in the US I hope you have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend.

Hope your flight gets you out as planned. Thankfully Earl wasn't near as bad as it could have been.

Here in extreme SE Virginia, we are thankful for the very rainy day. After having battened down the hatches just in case, I'll be happy to get the lawn furniture out again safely.

Counting the days to be on the Magic!

Just wanted to pop in and say enjoy your cruise! DH and I did the EBTA and absolutely loved it. I know you are going to have a blast. If I can give everyone one recommendation, just sit back, relax and enjoy. Things aren't neccesarily going to go as you planned (look at us we were having to deal with the volcano ash as we were getting ready to disembark) but that is part of traveling. The unexpected.

Safe travels and HAVE FUN!!!:goodvibes

I love Ziggy - I have been meaning to say something about your picture, but I kept forgetting. I have a little stuffed one that I got when I was 8, still have him with me.
