Glad I'm not the only one...

Night, Corinna!!!
I'm off to bed myself. Just have to pay for a dress I'd forgotten I bid for - and subsequently WON - on eBay... Oh well...
I hope you are pleased with your surprise purchase.
Corinna, do you have Netflix in the UK? The Pillars of the Earth is available for streaming on Netflix now. I am currently watching it on Starz (we have a season pass on our TIVO), and I am enjoying it very much. The 2-hour finale is this Sunday!
No unfortunately not. We have similar companies, but not Netflix.
"The Pillars of the Earth" is a great book and one of my favorites as well.

It's one of the only books I've ever read twice and I read quite a bit. Have you read "Night Over Water" by Ken Follett? I thought that was a pretty good book too.
Kristi
I don't think I have ever read this, which is actually quite a surprise. As far as "The Pillars of the Earth" is concerned, I am on my third copy as I have literally read the first two to pieces.
I got our jewelry kits.
I'm doing alright, my abdominal muscles are pretty sore but I know it could be worse.
I hope you are all doing well.
Thanks, I had updated my list that yours were received a week or so ago. Now I just wish that the other kits hurry up and get to their destination. Every day when I log in, I am all excited thinking that some might have arrived, but there has not been any good news since the beginning of the week.
I am glad that you are doing OK.
I am Adventures by Disney on the Med cruise and my understanding is that they fill up your day with ABD, too....you get up and off early and get back to the ship right about dinner time.....so i don't think I'll be much help in terms of shopping for you, either.
However...I did want to offer that if you can find someone who is on the Med cruise but is NOT a B2B person...and that person is willing to buy it for you in tunis and then give it to me and jason, we could hold onto it for you until you get aboard on the WBTA. Not as much help, I know...but thought I'd at least offer.
Thanks for the offer. I think I am sorted. By the way, I wish you a belated Happy Birthday.
....I got home from cheerleading tonight (last night before the trip...THANK HEAVENS!! What an exhausting summer!!) and I have a letter informing me I have been summoned for Jury duty beginning on Sept. 20th!

now that is one more thing I have to deal with before the trip....have to call them tomorrow and let them know there's no chance!
I was summoned for jury duty just before our Florida vacation in 2007. Fortunately I finished on time. I absolutely loved the experience.
NO pack yet will eb sure to let you know
Thanks for letting me know. I hope that they get there sooner rather than later.
The Mickey Ears are all spoken for....PJ, Paula, Corinna and Jason will all be wearing Golden 50th anniversary Mickey ears!
Thanks for offering this to us. This is one less thing that I have to worry about.
I don't understand, aren't you on the Med cruise? What's the item you want. I am sure I'll have time to shop for you. If I don't then I can find somebody to do it. So what is it? Connie
Unfortunately not. We did the first Med cruise this year and loved it. I so wish I could do it again. However, I still have to work up to September 16th.
When we were in Tunis in April, I bought two beautiful Tunisian dresses. They are so soft and look stunning. I bought one at the hotel that we went to for the
DCL beach break and one at the shop at the port. In the shop at the port they had also a royal blue dress that I really wish that I had bought and really I would love that and one other in any colour but brown or white. They were very cheap at EUR20 as well and come in one size fits all.
Here is a photo of me wearing the dress that I bought at the port:
I enjoy James Patterson also. I've read most of the Women's Murder Club books but I must say I LOVED "When the Wind Blows" and "The Lake House" - I mean LOVED LOVED LOVED them. I went to college for English/professional writing and there are a few books that have really grabbed me and made me want to write a book that is captivating - Those books were two on my list. The others are the entire "Flowers in the Attic" series (I know, strange and twisted books, but for some reason I couldn't put the series down) and "Jemima J" by Jane Green.
I have made a note of those. I am forever looking for good books to read.
Corinna,
PM me - not sure what my plans are but I can look. I always make time for some shopping. Let me know what you want and I will absolutely try to pick it up for you. We are not doing a DCL excursion so we should have time. With my son on here - he will not let me come back to the ship with less than 1 hr to go before all aboard time. The drawback to a neurotic man-boy.
Thanks for offering. I will PM you shortly.
I'm lucky I can go the gym in the daytime when the lycra gang aren't around so much.....I just grit my teeth and ignore the rest.......plus I am so short sighted I don't see them!
We don't have this problem at my gym. It is right next to the Gay Village and the hunky gay guys are not in the least but interested in what the women at the gym look like. There are a few other women about, but most of them are a bit of the curvy/ vertically challenged side as well. The gym has just got a wonderful atmosphere. We are going to their other branch in town on Sunday as this is where we will have our spa treatments and it will be interesting to see how they compare.
Well happy belated birthday to you, too, then!!
I called this morning about jury duty and they moved it to the first week of December...so that is one stressor gone. Jason also called and changed our flight down to Orlando next Thursday. We were booked on a flight that left around 5:30 that got switched to a 7:40 flight----but the more we thought about it the more we didn't want to take that flight (even though we originally agreed to it) because it wasn't direct and it wouldn't have us landing in Orlando until almost midnight which meant after picking up luggage and the car we wouldn't get to the resort until very late...adn we want to be at the Universal Parks early the next morning to try to get on all the Harry Potter rides (we have the insane idea of trying to do both Universal Parks and both Sea World Parks in just 2.5 days if we can----and we've pre-paid for the express passes at all the parks and everything). So he called and they agreed to switch us onto a direct flight leaving at 5pm so we'll get in at a better time, be able to check in, get a good night's sleep and be up for a Universal marathon on Friday the 3rd!
I am glad that you got everything sorted.
I did ring Cargo today asking what their take on magnets is. The answer that I was given is that a small amount of fridge or promotional magnets is no problem, but probably best in the carry on as they can be picked up when the cases are screened and might be removed. Any large number (I used 100 magnets as example as I will have that many on the way to Barcelona, but only 20 or so will come back) need to be sent as airfreight and need to have proper documentation. If you have more than 10, I got the impression that the safest option is to split them and put a few in each carry on. So looks like most of us will be fine and I will use a road based service to ship my magnets to Barcelona.
My Passporter and my luggage scales have now arrived. I will put aside some time over the weekend to read through the Passporter.
I have a question. I finally got my heart rate monitor this week and tried it out today when I was in the gym. This made such a difference. I know that they have Technogym equipment on the Magic, which is the same brand that we have at our gym here. Does anybody know if their equipment will be able to communicate with the heart rate monitor?
