As I get older, my eyes get dry quicker and I seem to tolerate contact lenses for only short amounts of time and I wound up using my glasses for longer periods in each Disney trip. I tried getting an eyeglass strap to keep my eyeglasses on during rides, but I found it very uncomfortable. Where the strap attaches to the eyeglasses rubs my ear and the strap around my long, wavy hair looks ridiculous. How do ya'll manage this? Do you have a comfortable eyeglass strap? How do you secure so it's comfortable and cute? Would love to see some pics!

I used to use a sports strap and only put it on for a couple of rides like RNRC.

What I've come to realize is that as long as your glasses are properly fitted they aren't coming off.
So now I don't use anything.

Honestly I take mine off on the rides where I’m most likely to get jostled hard. I’m near-sighted though and don’t have astigmatism so I can manage without mine for the brief time in the ride. I’ve never cared for the straps either because I tend to have braids at the parks and I have issues with those and the straps.

A lot of rides you can actually get away with wearing glasses though. I don’t take them off for Mine Train, Tower of Terror, a few others. But I also only ever bring my cheapo Zenni glasses on vacation and not my main pair from Costco, just in case.

We just got back from a trip where I had worried about this! My younger two (7 and 5) both wear glasses. The older took his off for rides, but my younger has very poor vision and isn't interested in *ever* having his glasses off! I was really worried about them, but they stayed on fine. He does have little silicone hooks on the arms of the glasses that sort of "cup" behind his ear and so that may have helped. He was too short for RNR or Tron, but they stayed on fine during Guardians, Everest, Mine Train, etc.

May be worth investing in a cheap pair and leaving them on most rides!

I will give the type with the silicone hooks a try. The type I have has the band go around the glasses and it's very bulky.

My daughter and I each use the Croakies endless adjustable retainer. We each just pull our long hair over it in the back. Neither of us feel it and no one sees it.
