Are we there yet????:dance3:

Almost!!

Hello. We are the only Spanish family of the trip. Our knowledge of the English language is very limited, but if you need some information of Barcelona I will be charmed with of providing it. Do anyone of yours speak spanish?

Bienvenidos!! Cuando yo era niña, viví en Argentina, Puerto Rico, Venezuela y México, así que puedo hablar español. Me encantaría conocerte para practicar mi español en el barco. Mi hijo menor está empezando a aprender español, también.

For those who can't read Spanish: Welcome! When I was a little girl, I lived in Argentina, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, and Mexico, so I can speak Spanish. I would love to meet you to practice my Spanish on the ship. My younger son is beginning to learn Spanish, also.

Hello everyone -

Kimberly
:grouphug:

Prayers and .

We are coming from Valencia. When I was a girl I studied in an Irish school, but though I understand the English written languaje, the spoken is very difficult for me. Of all forms, my family and I are very happy of joining to this group (though we do not know very well what it means).

Entiendo muy bien el español. Hablar es un poco más lento porque me olvido de ciertas palabras. No he hablado español regularmente durante 30 años. Unirse a este grupo significa conocer nuevos amigos!

Translation: I understand Spanish very well. Speaking is a little slower because I forget certain words. I haven't spoken Spanish regularly for 30 years. Joining this group means meeting new friends.

Sandi just called me with WONDERFUL NEWS. Her tests today showed everything is good. :yay::yay::yay::yay: We are going to have a great cruise.

Yeah!!

I sincerely hope that's what my darling daughter says about me!!! :teeth: ::yes:: :thumbsup2
I would bet she does...
Just have to share...

Ya know when you are on the Magiv and you meet wonderful CM's, and you think, these people are wonderful?

Well, on our first DCL trip we met a bar server - Victor form Chile. He took very good care of our party of 17 people. We did the whole comment card about him, and sent in an additional letter that mentioned him as well. In addition we had Maricar for the Philippeans as our stateroom hostess, and did the comment cards nd letters for her as well.

They were both wonderful, and we thought of them when we booked our trip for last September. We boarded last year and someone said welcome back to us and we didn't think twice, said thank you and kept on going. Well, that was Victor! Later that day we saw Maricar who laughed and hugged the kids, commented on how much they had grown. It was like seeing family that you hadn't seen for years...

Well, this afternoon I logged into FB and noticed a chat window had opened. It was Victor telling me happy birthday. It isn't like he is trying to get a head start on a tip - he is on the Wonder! He logged on at sea and happened to notice it was my birthday and took the time to chat with me. I so wish that we would be seeing him, but he is getting off the Wonder next week and going on vacation. I completely forgot to ask if he is getting on the Dream or back on the Magic!

I'm telling you, this is why I LOVE Disney!! The people do it for me!!
such a nice story
:rotfl: I'm debating whether to bring the pirate outfits, or just wear our Pirate t-shirts and a bandana that matches Paul's. ;)
bring them.........
Wow, I am so impressed by the level of organization and effort everyone has put into this disboard/cruise.
Welcome to everyone new. This is going to be an awesome cruise.
I will be power walking the Disneyland 5K and 1/2 marathon this Saturday and Sunday. I'll pack and weigh my luggage at least 10 times on Monday and my flight leaves Tuesday. I am so excited.
Amy
Good luck Amy..........................
My mother was allergic to eggs. She used to get bad stomach pains. she couldn't have the flu jabs either because they are cultivated on eggs.
my bother hated eggs when he was little , my aunt was DETERMINED he would eat them, she sneaked them into custard for him................
an hour later he (god bless him) vomited them all over her:lmao: serves her right..
Oh my, I have a headache.:headache: Not a real one, but a spare bed and clothes rail absolutely crammed full of my clothes. And, I haven't finished yet.:scared1::scared1: :scared1: Sun tops and shorts to go through yet. I could wear something different for every night of the trip, honestly, and I don't know what to chuck out. I want to take everything and have choice.

Then, on the floor, and in a carrier bag, are THINGS. You know, a huge collection of bits n bobs put aside to pack. Toiletries, books, travel tissues, sun cream, jewellery, bags, etc etc. Oh, and FE gifts!!! :scared1: Tomorrow I start on the shoes. Goodness me. I need a lie down.:rolleyes1 John is not going to be pleased.
I am in that club, it is not good.

(anyone else who is curious)----

You asked yesterday where we were staying in Barcelona and I couldn't remember off the top of my head but I looked at our paperwork today to verify (we booked our air and pre-cruise hotel through DCL). We are at the "Hilton Diagonal Mar" in Barcelona.

FYI,
Di and I are staying at the same hotel. :)

See you there...:thumbsup2

Hello everyone -

I was last on Page 111, so if there's anything between when Gizmo Sarah published the nearly final mini-navigator and now, I've missed it. So if there was anything specifically addressed to me, please PM me. I do know I have some hotel and flight updates to make, so I'll try to get to those this weekend.

The last six days have been a whirlwind and haze. One of my friends, Becky, for the past 27 years was told last week she had two days to live. They found she had pancreatic cancer after they believed she just had a kidney stone. She had better predictions a few days before that, to the point that she would go home and start chemo that would prolong her life for about a year. Not sure if she had really even decided to move forward on that plan or not. Everything just changed SO fast. I'm thankful that three other friends and I got to be with her all of her last day on Earth on Saturday. So for those who believe, please pray for her mom who's now lost her soul mate and her first born. They are an extremely close family, and anywhere you saw Becky, her mom was with her. Parents just shouldn't have to watch their children come in and out of the world. I'm getting ready to head back to my hometown for calling hours tonight and her funeral tomorrow, so her family really needs some extra strength in the next 24 hours and beyond.

Then....I have to get back home for Lisa's memorial on Thursday. She's the one who I told you drowned in the Atlantic on August 15. I highly encourage all of you to "Like" the group "Shea It Forward" (like pay-it-forward) on Facebook in honor of her. Share random acts of kindness that you've given out or received. It's so enriching to see how wonderfully selfless people can be.

I hope everyone's pre-boarding plans are being executed and everyone's really excited. I have to admit that I've had a hard time with my checklist nor desire to read the boards, but thankfully I had a huge jump start on my packing. See...things happen for a reason.

My mom is going to come down and stay with me Friday. We're going to finally go see the Titanic exhibit at COSI here in Columbus. Its exhibit is over here on Monday, so we had to get it in this week since we failed to do it earlier. Despite the timing, I'm looking forward to seeing it. I was so disappointed when it was here last time and I missed it. This time, they have artifacts that haven't ever been displayed to the public before, so I guess it will be even better.

On Thursday night or Friday, I'll try to get back on and stick with you all until we begin our adventure! I really can't wait to be with all of you. Many of you have been soooo supportive to me on Facebook (you know who you are!), and I really really appreciate it. I know sometimes people just don't have the words to say, and I assure you I feel you thinking of me, too.

To all of our B2Bers who are about to leave, have safe travels and a WONDERFUL time on your Med cruise! I can't wait to hear all about it!

Love you all!
Kimberly

Mt wife and I are looking for a place in Barcelona where we could buy lace, like could be beaded on a wedding dress. Anyone with this information would be appreciated.

YEAH! Thanks to my MIL, Goofy Granny to post my results. I was so happy that I hugged the technician and radiologist!!! They told me to have a wonderful cruise and not be stressed. Glad to hear about your tests too Lynn. What a relief it is and thank you everyone for your prayers.

I see that Paul and I are going to be twins too because all I wear for pirates is the bandana! :lmao:

I feel like going out and buying a dress, not for me, but for my DD. I always do that as a mom, but I will shop for her!!! Maybe she will end up with a villan dress. I am so happy I could scream for joy!

Sue - glad to hear that your magnets arrived. YEAH! It is so close.

We are Dennis (age 65)and Angie (age 60)from Montana, USA. I do not speak Spanish but Dennis does a little. However, his Spanish is mostly medical terms....he can tell you how often and how much of a medication to take! :) He self taught Spanish in order to communicate with his pharmacy patients. :thumbsup2 We are looking forward to meeting you and I am sure we will find a way to communicate. :grouphug:
