Is the villans night a real "masked" ball???
does DCA supply masqurade masks,Or should i bring one along from my "collection" i'm sure i have one in my "Costume Party Room" in the West Wing.
:rotfl:
SW

I can tell you that I was the ONLY member of the cruise passengers who wore a "villains" costume....I went as Cruella De Ville.....black/white wig and all!

But during the day the staff had a mask making class at the Promenade lounge. There were some very imaginative masks made! So if you don't have one, you can make one! Fun all around!

What a GREAT explaination, Marilyn! I am going to make a couple phone calls tomorrow to DCL about the Champagne Girls thing. A

A couple people mentioned perhaps after the afternoon tea? Or would that be too late? Too close to dinner? Just not sure, but ALL GIRLS are invited, whether they drink champagne or not!

Shouldnt they have a beer night for the guys at the same time,???
Len and dad would love it, bring your own?

Ok I am still on page 229 (that is what I get for having a pool party at my house last night!) and I do not know if the following has been brought up in the talk about MMC shirt night.

It was mentioned that the first 3 nights are the rotations in each dining room. This was not true on the EBTA

It was the 4th night before we started the rotational dining.

As I said - this may have already been addressed - but wanted to bring it to your attention in case it had not.

Krisann

If you go to our official site www.transatlanticpirates.com Go to the first page for the link if it does not work.

You can find the logos that are very very big. You can by iron on paper and print them yourself and iron on white t shirts

Hope that helps

Hi guys! Long time no post!

Whom do I contact regarding joining the Champagne Girls?

xCarolynn

Hi, Carolynn, glad you made it through camp! I am phoning DCL tomorrow to see what day we should plan the Champagne Girls get together. More info to follow. Since DCL will be running it, there will be a nominal charge.

Connie

That's so thrilling to think you're sending off a package....for THIS cruise...ALREADY!!! :yay::yay:
...
I still have a few pages to catch up on, so maybe these has been brought up, but the Lanyards, Come See Me, and Stateroom Tours should also be added to that list. I know they're not "Swaps" groups, but they are all dependent on cabins.

I am afraid if I don't get it to the post office tomorrow it wont make it to Spain and the Concierge manager the requisite 2 weeks prior to sailing... I have no clue how long priority mail will take - and over nighting it is out of the question...

The master list was for pulled together for swaps as cabin changes would be a bad thing not to track. I will also have a dry erase board for room changes if they affect rooms not in swaps. I was plnning on having a master change list that people could write the change on and then extra copies that people can take, and update, and keep... If we added the room tour and the come see me but not the lanyards (as that list is huge!) does that cover enough?

Connie - the person I am working on for the tastings has been out of the office - taking her GK's to the parks over the past 2 weeks. She is back in tomorrow... Let me know if you need contact info!

Not a bad idea to meet at 830 on the terrace - that way everyone is together and we are there for the bus. I am sure that we can hand cameras to someone for the shot - and if not, Glenn has a tripod, an I think a remote control to snap the photo! (And there I go signing him up for more! Again - sorry dear!:

Thanks Glenn!

No problem, I'm used to being volunteered. It wouldn't at all surprise me to find out that I've been signed up with the Champagne Girls and that there's a pink boa with my name on it. :lmao:

Anyway, she got all excited about seeing Collin her fav beverage waiter and I didn't have the heart to tell her no.

So that's my story, she wasn't going to go but is now and now I have to make sure that we get the waiter she wanted. Now how am I going to guarantee that? BTW, request already put in but have to get to the ship early to change that. LOL

Laura...I requested her FAV waiter several months ago, but you may want to check and make sure it is still in our records. :)

I will have you know that I passed on getting you a Tiara while out the other day, and I can't find any inexpensive pink boas, so I am borrowing one...

I am sure that you can gate crash though... :lmao::rotfl2: Just be sure to wear pink...

Reminds me of the story told last night at dinner where "Our Cpt Jack" was chastised for being so convincing and to please not start a riot. LOL - But I'll let him tell that story. :lmao:

MMC SHIRTS on ZAZZLE: I thought I marked the post to respond, but I must have missed it. I'm seeing them there. Just do a keyword search for "Mickey Mouse Club" at the center top of the web page. There are several different shirt styles that will come up with that search. Check out Post #1 for the graphic that everyone is getting so yours matches. Remember....names on the back in big letters!

....I prefer to ride a real bike and see some scenery....

Although....on the ship you have the beautiful ocean to watch. That's not something you typically get to see when riding!

Finally got round to uploading a few pictures from my trip to Disneyland Paris a couple of weeks ago.....It's a magical place...

Oh. Wow. Those are awesome photos! I just love Sleeping Beauty's castle at sunset!

I made a Google Earth map with some of the more famous sites (plus a couple of hotels and restaurants). It shows the various Metro lines (color coded) that link the different sites.

This is perfect, Woody!! I was just about to look into transporation. Thank you!!!

Per the ONBOARD picture - on the EBTA we did it right before the Dis lunch - we just showed up 30 minutes early.

Just a thought . . .

Do we have a group lunch established for this cruise?????

Are we having a DIS lunch too??:confused3

I'm glad someone else asked, too! It just so hard to come up with a time because kids are at the pools, DISers at brunch and at tastings, and so much more.....simply enjoying a good time!

I've seen a good DIS photo taken on Deck 7, too.

ooohhhh ... I am officially a champagne girl ... I just won this on Ebay:...

Wow! That's a nice fancy bi-colored one! I LOVE it! Congrats Ebay Queen!

Ok I want to throw this out there and I am willing to head it up if enough people want to do it. On the WBPC 2008 cruise we had glow in the dark/green bracelets that had the cruise info on it....

I think it's a great idea! It's also great for evening swims and Pirate Night!

Where does the ship dock? Where's the grocery store? I heard it was near the Columbus statue......

The ship's dock is actually south of where Woody's map image cuts off. You can see it on the our DIS Google Map. You can see/match up the docks in the DIS Google Map and Woody's to get yourself orientated.

....The master list was for pulled together for swaps as cabin changes would be a bad thing not to track.... If we added the room tour and the come see me but not the lanyards (as that list is huge!) does that cover enough?

I think so. I did think of another "group" though. What about the Medicine Cabinet Cabins?

No problem, I'm used to being volunteered. It wouldn't at all surprise me to find out that I've been signed up with the Champagne Girls and that there's a pink boa with my name on it. :lmao:

:rotfl:

:cutie::groom::cutie: Hey...any man who wears pink is a good man to me!

I have Palo tea on the 21st Corinna, you must have missed my post, sorry.

Are we choosing for our individual jewellery, or are we choosing 1 theme for us all?

I like the Champagne Girls theme even though I'm not going.

I did see your post, but figured as we have to have two groups anyway, you could join the session on 19th September.

As far as bag charm or keychain is concerned, I will go for the majority as I have to buy them in packs of 20. For necklaces and cell phone charms, I can accommodate individual choices.

Would you like to go for the Champagne Girl theme for the cell phone charm, the necklace or both?

Oh no ... too much choice. I will now have to opt for the pirate themed charm but will stick to the villains for the other .... will save me looking for purple jewellery before we go. HOWEVER i AM PERFECTLY HAPPY WITH WHATEVER AND WILL GO WITH THE MAJORITY !!

I got you down for Villain's necklace and Pirate cellphone charm

Ohhhhhhh! Yes! Pink Champagne girls & Tink would be fab Corinna!:cool1: Let us know how/when you want the money :woohoo:

Would you like to go for the Champagne Girl theme for the cell phone charm, the necklace or both?

"Villans Night"? I love Corrina's fascinator. I have no clue what villans night is though.

In April, they introduced a new show on the Magic called Villains Tonight. To go with it there is a new special menu and also a "Masquerade Ball" after late dinner. I am not really into wearing costumes, but I will wear purple and black for dinner.

Is the villans night a real "masked" ball???

does DCA supply masqurade masks,

Or should i bring one along from my "collection" i'm sure i have one in my "Costume Party Room" in the West Wing.

:rotfl:

SW

On our cruise, they did various mask making sessions that day in the kid's clubs, for families and for adults.

Ok just checking what colors are you using for ship and what colors for villain

and who are the champagne girls :lmao:

Villain's colours will be black and purple and ship's colours black, white, yellow and red. For the Champagne Girls, I would be using various shades of pink. I leave somebody else to explain what precisely the Champagne Girls are all about.

ooohhhh ... I am officially a champagne girl ... I just won this on Ebay:

Well done.

Awesome! I loved Hayley's idea of the Champagne Girls, too! So I'm changing my vote!

Necklace: Champagne Girl
Cell Phone Charm: Champagne Girl (because Tink is my favorite character!)

Thank you again, Corinna!!!! :goodvibes

I have updated my spreadsheet.

Corinna

DH is watching the History channel and they are showing the Top 10 Most Extreme Airports.....they have showed Madeira #9 and Gibraltar #5 and St. Maarten was #4........ 3 more to show. Exciting to see 3 places we will be visiting in just a few weeks!!

we saw that last night too!

OK, jewellery people. I was looking at timings and dates and I think the best option would be 19th and 21st September from 3 to 4 PM.

I am probably getting on your nerves by now, but I really like Hayley's idea of doing a Champagne Girl theme (pink) for the necklace. So there are now three options: Villain, Champagne Girl or Ship. If you have given me your preference already and would like to change your mind, please let me know.

The Champagne Girl comment also got my creative juices going in another direction. One of my suppliers does little Tinkerbell charms. So for the cell phone charm, we could either go with a pirate theme (silver skull beads and crystals in ship's colours) or with a Champagne Girl theme (Tinkerbell and pink crystals)

I have tallied up what we would need including shipping and it would come to GBP15 per person.

I will put all the info I have into a spreadsheet later and try to work out how to post a spreadsheet.

Corinna

ashlyn loves tinkerbell so she will vote for that

One thing - the actual color of the ship is not black - it is a very dark blue. I learned this on the last cruise.

my understanding is that they have a workshop or two during the day for kids/people to make their own masks. But I'm sure you could bring your own.

Granted on the EBTA it was the first time - but it was caos! This time we are bringing our own masks/making them at home because it just was really crazy there.

If you go to our official site www.transatlanticpirates.com Go to the first page for the link if it does not work.

You can find the logos that are very very big. You can by iron on paper and print them yourself and iron on white t shirts

Hope that helps

Thanks! I think i will make our own then or I will be the weird one with my Lime Green Disney shirt!

I will have you know that I passed on getting you a Tiara while out the other day, and I can't find any inexpensive pink boas, so I am borrowing one...

I am sure that you can gate crash though... :lmao::rotfl2: Just be sure to wear pink...

My hubby is wearing a Pink Polo for dinner one night :)

Thanks, I have updated my spreadsheet with her choice of cell phone charm. What is her preference for the colour scheme for the necklace and would she prefer a bag charm or keychain?

I am aware that the colour used on the ship is a dark indigo blue, but it looks black from a distance and all the blues that are available from Swarovski are either pastel blues or royal blue so black is a better match.

I've been having great "catching up" intentions, but I'm behind again. I have been reading for 2 hours this morning and I'm still 20 something pages behind. Sigh...

A few things I've missed completely... "Champagne Girls"? I love champagne... What is it and how do I get involved...

"Villans Night"? I love Corrina's fascinator. I have no clue what villans night is though.

Would love some insight on those 2 things. Will try to read more tonight. We will never be unpacked in our new house if I don't get started today!

-Stephanie

Stephanie, sometimes its easier to give up and ask someone to keep an eye on things for you. So the exercising going? Still keeping up?

Several had asked about the luch I was talking about doing the picture before:

This is the lunch I was talking about:

30th Sept - Farewell Parrot Cay Lunch

Not sure if we are supposed to be signing up for this or not but also know that it is when we are revealing the secret mickey too!

Krisann

Thank you very much. I'm looking for my blackberry and computer, both of which appear able to swith from one to the other, pending of course the ability to plug them im! Ive found the adapter for my blackberry in europe, but haven't find something to use for BCN.

I just purchased this for the trip to London and Barcelona.
Voltage adapter

ZEN TEACHINGS

Marilyn, those are great. Thanks for the laughs!

We are flying back Virgin Miami to Heathrow as we got reward seats, and our car should be there too!! Of course if we end up flying from Leeds, we have to find another way to get home. Possible a one way car hire.

I'm just hoping the BAA issues are sorted by then with it being Heathrow.

Wow, I hope you all get this sorted asap.

ABout to rant

My stupid sil let my stupid 14yo neice get her tongue percied, I could happily bang there heads together.

Rant over.
Well till I see her again and she cant talk or eat:headache:

Yeah, I really don't get it. 14?!??

I vote for all on the same night. Night 11 sounds good. Corinna

Same here.

Corinna

Corinna, I love the Champagne girls idea for both projects.

It took me till 36 to pluck up the courage or stupidity :confused3to get a tattoo.

The 2 things I told my kids about getting a tattoo: 1) your skin will not always look the same (wrinkles, growths, other assorted lovely things like that), and 2) your taste at 20 will probably not be the same at 60 (this I know is true for me, at least). 2 of 3 got them anyway. :upsidedow Yeah, bottom line is they're going to do what they want anyway :confused3.

One thing I have always wondered ... if ever she decides she doesn't want great big holes in her ears, what would she do. Do the holes close back up if she takes out the things keeping them open or would she need surgery.

Someone please tell me what is supposed to be attractive about big, saggy holes in your ears? :sad2:

IMHO these things like piercings and tattoos always look quite cool and trendy on the young people .... but not so attractive once you get beyond a certain age and everything starts to head south .. ie. my age :rotfl2::rotfl2:

In my job I get access to a lot more of the female anatomy than most and have witnessed some words tattooed in places which would seem very inappropriate on an elderly lady for example . :rotfl2:

Ewww. The mind boggles.
