Hello all,
I have been missing for most of this year because I was offered a promotion at work that led to a move to Indiana. My husband and I, and the 3 cats are now officially in Indiana, in our new house, and with all of our personal belongings. Its been busy. Now I am realizing that the cruise is less than 2 months away, I have lost 4 months of planning and not made any progress on the planned weightloss.
To that end...
1) I am back on the boards and will try to read and catch up (at least most of part 7...)
2) In order to motivate myself on the exercise thing, and in an attempt to get back into a routine now that we are settled, I registered for the disney half marathon today! I have never run a race before, and haven't run at all since high school. I am doing this in January with my Mom. I hope I'm not nuts... Went on my first run/walk tonight in preparation. Wish me luck!

back.
In regards to your exercise thing. May I share a little hint. There is a group of DIS'ers (we met on the EBPC 2008) that have recently begun an exercise program called C25K from iTunes. What is amazing about this, is that the impetus that started all this was

. My friend, signed up for the WDW mini-marathon in Jan. Upon advice of another DIS'er, they were discussing starting something as he wasn't exercising. Well, being as friendly

as we are. Some of us jumped on the bandwagon and started on this program along with him. Its get you running a 5K in as little as 9 weeks. I started last week and I have't run/jogged in over 25 yrs. I started off slow but its an amazingly easy, ok that's a misnomer. The idea is simple and the execution is simple, you just have to be patient. The amazing thing about this is that if you can't do the suggested plan, it allows you to redo any portion that feel you need to redo. I restarted day 1 as I hadn't exercised in well over 1 yr. I have always walked my whole life and my knees are shot from early adulthood but so far, I have been able to ease myself into it. I feel much better about myself and the actual exericse only take about 31 minutes to 45 minutes at the end of week 9 and only 3 times a week. And as someone that has never actually sweated, it works wonders.
If you have the opportunity, check it out on iTunes or PM me if you want some other info. We have formed an informal support group and they are awesome at getting me moving out of bed as I am "infamous" for being a late night insomniac and later riser. Try it - it really is pretty good. The downside to this program is that it will only work on iphone, ipod touch or ipad. There are other programs that might work but this one is really easy and that's saying something for me. Hope this gives you an incentive. As I said, if you want, you can pm me. I'll give you some other info. Hope to hear from you - if not - whatever you do, just get started. If you need support, I'm here.
BTW, I was stationed at Ft Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis from '85 to '86. Went through my first tornado watch there. But some fond memories of IN.

Congrats on the promo. Make the best of it.
