How many times have you been stung by a wasp/bee?

I am sure it happened a couple of times when I was a kid, but honestly, I can't even remember. It hasn't happened to me in a very long time.

Bees and wasps - none. But I am a mosquito magnet! Not sure which is worse.

I remember nearly getting a bee sting on my way to summer school in 2013. Luckily it wasn’t that bad and I didn’t need to go to the ER. I was and still am petrified by these creatures.

Not sure I have ever been stung by a wasp, no idea about bees. Stepped on a lot of bees when I was barefoot as a kid. Pull the stinger out, and got back to playing.

So...it was not efficient enough to grow green beans on a string...so science at Oregon State University invented a green bean plant that was a bush....a very flowery plant in rows that needed to be irraggeted by moving an aluminum pipe up and over rows upon rows... where ground dwelling bumblebees lived and since they didn't offend Zeus.... they could sting over sting and not lose their stinger. .... pulling down your 501s and applying mud was always my go to first aid...over and over and over 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝

Incidents. About 5 or 6. . Total stings between them. About 500.

From a 1 sting bee sting to a 200 sting yellow jacket nest run over.
Like run over the underground nest with a lawn mower or a tractor or a bulldozer trying to blaze a trail.... I never had the opportunity to drive a bulldozer ... but for sure a push lawn mower and orchard tractor

Maybe 2 or 3 times that I can recall being stung by a wasp when I was a kid, but nothing for over 25+ years.

Never been stung by a bee. Usually always very cautious around them as don't want to kill them, and all the bees I've come across seem quite docile.

In the worst thing for disturbing a nest possible. One of those little Bobcats. I have experienced it with a push mower as well. You'll take a few stings in that case too.

I only remember about 3 times and all of those were when I was a kid. I have no idea whether it was a wasp or a bee because at the time I don't think I knew the difference.

As an adult my only real enemy has been the lovable dear fly. Those are silent and you don't even know they are around until you get bit or stung, whichever they do, and when they do you feel it believe me. It took me a couple of times to realise not to touch the spot even though it itches like mad. Once you touch it it seems to spread around and my reaction when I did was massive swelling,. The first time I got bitten I was mowing the lawn, felt something hurting on my forehead, reached up and brushed it off me and then proceeded to rub the location. Within minutes my face just below the bite started to swell closing my right eye and swelling my cheek just below my eye. It took a day to get back to normal. After that if I knew what had happened I would suffer through wanting to scratch it so badly I could scream. However, it didn't swell up when I didn't touch it. After that number three I didn't know what had happened and I reacted naturally without thinking and scratched it. Same result with swelling on my arm. The fourth time, I remembered and didn't have any real problems after the itching stopped.

I got stung by a bee as a kid maybe 4-5 times. The only one I can recall as an adult was when I was walking our former dog and realized I needed an additional poop bag and had used the last in the little holder attached to the leash. In my community we have one of those things where you have the trash can to throw the poop bags away and above it bags in case you need them so stuck my hand in the bag part and apparently there was a bee I did not see and stung me on my finger. It hurt. I think I iced it when we got back home but can’t remember it was a while ago.

Many and the last time was about 4 weeks ago and TWO stings.
I was outside with a steel shovel trying to lift up a huge and heavy patio brick and suddenly I'm like "ouch" and why are there biting ants and then my brain catches up and I realize they are wasps and there is a fist size nest in the ground. I was extremely lucky because I don't believe either of my stings were full on stabs. BUT a week later one of my stings sites itched and I scratched it and later that day I had a reaction of a baseball size red patch on my calf. WEIRD , right. Maybe I still had a piece of the stinger in my leg? It took a week to clear up.
