I am so jealous of you guys meeting up.:headache: Wish I could come!

me too :sad2::sad2:

I am passing some time this evening uploading songs for my Ipod to take on this trip. I have all the Disney parades, fireworks etc. I would like a sort of Caribbean themed playlist with tropical / latin songs etc .... but I can't really think of any. Can anyone help me out?

Now we did not have any problem using our debit card on the EBTA in Cadiz - our card doesn't have a chip (as far as I know) and did not have a problem with a number restriction. And I did ask my bank about getting a debit card with a chip in it before the EBTA and they had no idea what I was talking about!

Krisann

Bank of America told me today that they were not yet considering add a chip to their cards. I was told by representative that they had questions about this and may consider it in the future but no firm plans.

I am so jealous of you guys meeting up.:headache: Wish I could come!

Wish you could be with us too! We'll raise our glasses to all of you and bless how grand it will be when we are doing so together.

Come visit my city and I promise to take you to the Tonga Room (if it is still there)too.

Val

After the few days we've had, I thought a day of catching up with friends and shopping was in order. So I met up with my girlfriends for a long leisurely breakfast until 11:30, then did some shopping. Bought some swimwear, tops and leggings for the girls, some shorts and wait for it..................a formal dress for me, YAY!!! So, it was a wonderful day all round :cool1:

Looks like you had a very productive day. I am looking forward to seeing your formal dress.

Mum is actually going to America for a few weeks in September with 5 of her close girlfriends. The girls go somewhere together every year, no husbands or boys allowed. They have been all over Europe, some of Asia, a couple of cruises, etc...There is usually 7 of them, all in thier 50's and 60's, they call themselves "secret 7". They have a blast, and it is just what she needs. We are hoping to meet up with her in Florida. :thumbsup2

It's great that your mum has something to look forward to after what she has been through.

Ooohh, I have always wanted to try a spin class! Anyone up for one with me? Corinna, can I entice you?

I could be convinced, especially if Mitch is doing the class. He is from Australia and very easy on the eye.

Your bracelet is gorgeous, I would love to be able to make jewellery. Good onya! :thumbsup2

Making jewellery is actually surprisingly easy. I started out with a kit when I was still teaching and got bored during the summer holidays. I soon outgrew kits though and made up my own designs.

The list below shows the people who have requested to link dining to sit in the DIS area. The list needs to be checked to see if it is correct and if I have missed anyone from the list. The coloured groups are those who have already requested to sit together at the same table.

The main group will be requesting ROTATION 2 which is the APL Rotation as this is the preference of the majority. However Sue and Hayley's families are on ROTATION 1, the LAP rotation. So if anyone prefers this rotation you could be linked into the same area as Sue and Hayley's families.

If anyone has any preferences to sit at a particular table with particular DIS members please send me a PM, otherwise I will leave it up to DCL to allocate people to tables, apart from those already organised to sit together.

I am still waiting for GRAYFAL and SUE L to give me their reservation numbers ... could you please do this as soon as you are able. Thanks :thumbsup2

Anymore wish to join the DIS area .... we could do with some more families with children if possible please.

THANK YOU ALL FOR LISTENING

Knowing my luck we will probably end up on rotation 3. I don't think I was ever on the same rotation as other DISers. I would have loved to link dining, but we requested a specific server and I am not sure what rotation he will work. The Transatlantic will be his last cruise on the Magic. He will go on vacation straight after and then transfer to the Dream. He is also from Manchester and an absolute hoot.

I have just been thinking of all the things I didn't do on the ship last time and I have decided to write a list of all the things that I MUST do this time.

So here it is .... the things I didn't do last time which I must do this time list:

1. Go to the gym.
2. exercise by walking laps on Deck 4
3. see a movie ( or two )
4. order room service
5. use the pool
6. use the hot-tub
7. make an ice cream cookie sandwich
8. drink champagne under the stars
9. have a cocktail at the Heads Up bar
10. see Disney Dreams show
11. try a Konk Kooler
12. have a coffee at the Cove Cafe
13. Visit the rainforest room
14. Attend more art of entertaining and back stage tours.
15. Watch a sunrise
16. Trade pins
17. Go to Palo for dinner
18. Go to Palo for brunch
19. Eat a lunch in a main dining room
20. RELAX !!!!!

Actually .... this list is so long , I wonder what I actually DID DO on my last cruise ....

Anyone else care to share their MUST DO list :yay:

Here is my list:

Have a drink of the day
Watch a movie
Chill out on the loungers on deck 4 and read
Stay up for the Pirate Party
Do the Galley Tour
Catch "Till We Meet Again"

The Must Do List of a 1st time cruiser is pretty much -
* Don't get sea sick
* Eat
* Book another cruise
Anything other than that is a 1st and exciting! :cool1:

That sounds like a good plan, especially the "Book another cruise" part

The one we had at the Captain's reception was really delicious. It was a green concoction. Don't know if it was alcoholic or not though.

The green concoction is the Sour Apple Martini and definitely alcoholic. On the Med cruise, they had about two thirds non alcoholic cocktails and on third alcoholic. It took me ages until I could get a Sour Apple Martini. The cocktails were also very watered down on the Med cruise.

Back from SIL's house in Clear Lake and had to go back to PAGE 127!!

Bailey and I had fabulous time. I will try to post some pics in the next few days but have so much to catch up on here.

Bought Bailey a new Twilight book but don't know the name. Seems 13 year old girls love this series. I prefer True Blood.

Welcome back, Noel. I am glad that you had a good time.

You are so talented and this looks great! I am also in awe of the pink and blue pieces that you had made for you!

I am starting to get really worried about the jewellery set that I had made. It was sent priority mail nearly two weeks ago and should therefore be here by now. I am expecting this to attract customs charges, which is fine. However, sometimes the postman does not drop of a card to let me know that they have it and there is a charge. It then gets returned to the USA on the slow boat. I think I will go and check with the post office on Friday if it does not arrive tomorrow.

I just got an e-mail from DCL and got all excited because I thought MAYBE it was a cabin number. No such luck, but I was excited to get the e-mail, reminding me of all the fun to come in 59 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got really excited as on the Med cruise, we got this email the same day as we got our room assignment. No such luck this time though :sad2:

Yes, I just had the email, but won't be buying anything this time. Just nice to get an email though to remind me we are going on a cruise SOON!!!!!:lmao: Not that I hadn't worked that out!!!

I have never ordered anything before, but I decided to pre-purchase my photo package and also order the Bon Voyage package (petit fours and sparkling wine) as a surprise for DH.

Corinna

Does anyone else cry on the "Till We Meet Again" little show! I DO!!!! I saw that Corrina wanted to do the show and wanted to ask the question so I am not the only one with tissues.

I wish I was going to the Tonga room - everybody have a great time!!!

WOW these are many if the things i'm hoping to do on the cruise and this is my first cruise, am i fooling myself on how much i'll be able to do.

SW

At least you picked a long cruise, so you have more time to get them all in!

I got it just a short time ago as well!! Even though it was solicitation, it was exciting. I REALLY can't wait to get the snail mail though!

That is when the excitement really starts!!:cheer2:

Where is Celesteal Seasons tea plant? I've never been there before.

It's near Boulder. We had a guide who kept us laughing the whole time and the shop has lots of great products that I've never seen in stores (I got a Sleeptime Bear teapot).

I am determined to use the gym this time, if only to shift calories so I can put them straight back in at dinner :thumbsup2

This will be our 5th Disney cruise. All the others were four-day and we never made it to the gym. Does anyone know if they have medicine balls (one of my favorite workouts)?

We're seeing Toy Story 3 on Saturday to celebrate my exams! I will definately be crying! I cry at every Disney movie!

Saw TS3. My son was only 5 when the first one came out and he loved it. Now my son's 20 and in college; I really cried when Andy was leaving for college in the movie. We had asked my son to come to TS3 with us but saidhe'd wait and go with his girlfriend...I miss my little boy!

* I might have to go to the Geezer Club at the Cove, I don't know how old you have to be, but love to socialize with Ann and Albert (and all the rest of you there).

Not sure what age qualifies as a Geerzer but I seem to be "geezing" more everyday!

I've turned the heater on in the house because 62 inside is just to cool for me. I'll be glad when summer is over and we get some nice weather.

Valerie

Be happy to send you some of our 97 degree weather...

I am passing some time this evening uploading songs for my Ipod to take on this trip. I have all the Disney parades, fireworks etc. I would like a sort of Caribbean themed playlist with tropical / latin songs etc .... but I can't really think of any. Can anyone help me out?

Here's a start: go to www.disneyreggae.com for a FREE download of a reggae version of "Kiss the Girl." Also, I have tropical playlists that I use for teaching my water aerobics classes including tunes by: Jimmy Buffet, the Beach Boys, the Ventures, Jimmy Cliff, Jan and Dean, Bob Marley, Desmond Dekker. And don't forget Buster Poindexster's "Hot, Hot, Hot." Enjoy! When I listen to this music. I want to be in the islands!

Andrea

I meant to say , welcome back Noel, was missing your thoughts, xx

Sarah, are you dressing up for villians night, I am thinking I am going for it but not if I am the only one at the table.:upsidedow

Just cutting in with my 2cents worth. I'm wearing an outfit that is "suggestive" of a costume, but not a full-on costume. It will be an skirt and blouse that I can wear on other occasions, but have pieces that are from a costume to finish it.

:cutie:

We had an email as well, or begging letter. Please spend even more money with us:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Albert - that is a great way to look at it. I always think it is great when they send me something to buy more, invest more, pay more. I am like WOHOO!! How dumb is that?

I just got another e-mail for Annual Passholders in Orlando. They are opening up the Tower of Terror for all Annual Passholders on Friday the 13th for 3 hours. You can ride as many times as you want, but that will be the only thing open. I am tempted!!!
