My triplet, DisneyGirl02, - I was just thinking about you. We are flying on Friday to Park City and I am already planning my plane strategy and what I can do for the time so I am not nervous and praying there is no storm when leaving Tampa. We will watch Until We Meet Again together - I will bring the tissues!!!

As far as TOT, I might go just for you and Albert!!! Albert, you should ride, it is always fun. I get nervous on that ride too, I call myself crazy and when I get off, I want to go again. When the elevator moves to the front, I always think it isn't going to stop and I will fall off the edge. See, stupid stuff.

I am so sorry to hear about all the people who are looking for jobs - I know from Darrell getting his business up and running. All these great ideas, that require money, but you are not making money. It will turn around - positive thoughts!

Linda - I think that it was on the main board. But, some of t he things I remember were the Mickey bars (or for us Pirate bars (WAH!), Uncrustables (PB&J sammies that are pre packaged), I think wither the grilled cheese or BLT as well.

Remember, No Mickey bars in the Med!!

Opinion please... From what I have heard Captain Thord will be our Captain this trip. I have a group photo with him from our first cruise when Becca was a baby. Bring it and have him sign or not?

If he didn't sign it the first time, I would bring it but that is just me. I have the anchor clock signed by Captain Thord on my desk

Hi everyone! I am new to the thread and the discusson! This is going to be my first TA. I am a little nervous that with 6 days at sea my husband and I (no kids) at going to go a little crazy. Can anyone tell me anything special about the TAs and what they just love to do one them?

But I just wanted to say hello and intoduce myself, I am Tara.

Welcome aboard Tara to this chatty group!! I am Noel and my DH is John. We are two adults traveling alone sans children or grandchildren.

I have not been posting for about a week as I was at my SIL's Lake house with my GD so I am sorry I did not welcome you yesterday.

Everyone has probably told you to check out all the activities on page one, sign up on the transatlanticpirate site so you can see all of your fellow cruisers, and to tell us about yourself.

I am organizing a Madeira tour that you can read about in post #9 of the first page.

Just jump right in as we are a friendly group as you will soon find out for yourself.

Well I'm not having a good day. I was on the back county roads of Lancaster county and when i get back to my office i look at my back tire and the is a bulge in my rear tire. My have been one of the pot hole i hit on fine Pennsylvania road. It cost over $150 for a new tire.

On other news. I got the bus contract today so I still need payment for a few people. Look at post 11 on page 1 for instruction.

Oh Stephen that sucks that you had to get another tire. Yes Pa roads are the worst ever!!! When we would come home from our friends in WV, I always would wake at the state line...:lmao:

You guys have been busy the last few days. We went to Denver on Friday and returned today. Had a wonderful time visiting relatives and celebrating a 91st birthday. We went to Rocky Mountain National Park so I can cross off another National Park from my life goal of visiting every National Park before I die. We also went to the Celesteal Seasons tea plant and learned a lot about tea.

I will have to catch up tomorrow after a good night's sleep and a hard day of returning to work.

Sounds like you had fun!! Rocky Mountain National Park is an interesting park to visit. Isn't it about 75 miles southeast of Denver? I stayed once in the famous Stanley Hotel in Estes which is right outside the park. If you remember "The Shining" then you know the hotel about which I am speaking.

Since I love tea, I am jealous you got to visit a tea plant!! Hope you enjoyed your Celestial Seasons tea tasting.

Thanks Alex...

As a fellow GP, I can tell just how proud you are of her!! Tell her congrats from John and I for a great race!!

Your name always brings a smile to my face as my Dad was Walter (Walt). My kids and GK's always called him Grandpa Walt.

Oh Man.. another one having a bad car day! Sorry you were having troubles too:headache:

Ran off to Weight Watchers for the hour, came out and my car was dead. Thank goodness, for the first time I was able to park under a tree for shade. At 10 am it was already 107.
An hour and a half later I had a new battery, and the warrenty covered it all!

Welcome back Noel... glad you had a nice time.

Welcome back, Noel!!!

I don't know why, but I was probably 30 before I could say "statistic" correctly! I would stumble over that word until I gave up! Now it just rolls off my tongue. :confused3:

Thanks for the welcome back Weren't you gone for a bit also? I know how hard it is to catch up!!

I have a few of those words that just won't roll off my tongue!!! It is as if my brain refuses to release the correct pronunciation.

Wow! You came the hottest weekend to come visit us in Denver! My husband ran a triathalon on Saturday and it was 102 here! He said it was so hard since it was so hot. Where is Celesteal Seasons tea plant? I've never been there before. We've had family in town this past week and we are headed back to Indiana this coming week for a wedding. This is the last time the kids are traveling before the cruise (me and dh are going to do a mini trip to Albuquerque next month). So, my dd is getting really excited! We are below the 60 day mark on the countdown chain. Well, glad to hear everyone is doing well. Can't wait to get our t-shirts. It will become even more real then!

Yes, it was hot but no humidity like we have at home. The Celesteal Seasons plant is in Boulder. They have a web site with directions. The road leading to it is Sleepy Time Dr and is in a residential neighborhood. They have all their flavors available for tasting at the tour center. The tour is free and your tickets are packets of tea.

Welsome back Noel!! Glad that you had a good time!

My Neice enjoyed the Twilight books at age 20, and got me to read them. I enjoyed them but I also prefer True Blood (which I have hooked her on!)

Thanks for the welcome back. Can't wait for the fall premier of True Blood. I hear Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are going to wed in real life. I loved her in the Piano.

Noel - glad to have you back!!!!

Okay, here are some things that I need to put on my list (love the lists by the way)

* have Ducky sign something
* Play Pictionary (I love pictionary)
* I might have to go to the Geezer Club at the Cove, I don't know how old you have to be, but love to socialize with Ann and Albert (and all the rest of you there).
* eat a nice lunch in the restaurant with DD
* Bridge Tour (but that will never happen - unfortunatley)
* Make new friends and reunite with old
* See TS3

Thanks for the welcome back. I guess I need to start on my list to do....

Glad you had fun Noel :goodvibes I love True Blood too but have never read the books ......and I think I have the taste of a 13 year old girl.....maybe it comes from having been a childrens librarian?! :confused3:lmao:

:littleangel:
We did have a good time though my house here is a bit messy.

I think you would enjoy the Jacqueline Kirby series by Elizabeth Peters. Jacqueline Kirby is a librarian with a very large purse and a knack for solving mysteries.

I don't mind it either .... and I think I am officially classed as one, depending on what the age classification is. I will be there anyhow, as an official Geezer in Training or if I can't be one of those I will be a GATECRASHER !!!!!:rolleyes1

You can just be a GIT (Geezer in Training) if you are under 50....

I meant to say , welcome back Noel, was missing your thoughts, xx

Sarah, are you dressing up for villians night, I am thinking I am going for it but not if I am the only one at the table.:upsidedow

How sweet.....

I am thinking of dressing up as well so maybe we will be just a few but how fun!!

Was PM'ing with Su_Kraft about yoga, and grousing that the official yoga sessions last a bare half hour, which is hardly time enough to get warmed up. Is there anyone who's (a) interested in yoga, and (b) good enough at it to carry on after the *official* session is over? I'd be interested. :thumbsup2

Besides, yoga's a great way to re-distribute the extra, um, ounces that some of us may find in the dining room. Or at least get it to move around a little bit. :rotfl:

Yoga, anyone?

Best regards,
Richard

I have friends who have had a terrible time with their gums since menopause so I try to be very diligent with the floss and cleannings. In fact I'm going tomorrow for a cleanning. At 55 you'd think I would be through all that but my g.y.n. said the blood test indicated I haven't even started. My response was "So I have NO excuse for being such a Witch?".

I hope you can join Chasity, Gus, Johanna, Monica and Bob & I Friday evening at the Fairmont Tonga Room. We plan to meet about 6:00 for a drink and maybe the happy hour buffet. It should be fun to do a little cruise pre-planning. I warned Chasity to bring a coat, hope she did. I've turned the heater on in the house because 62 inside is just to cool for me. I'll be glad when summer is over and we get some nice weather.

Valerie

I am hoping to join all of you. John is still unsure but I will keep you posted. Shall I park at the Fairmont or is there better parking?
