I'm getting ready to go to the Philadelphia Phillies baseball game with a bunch of people from work.

Is this the game versus Toronto? Have fun!! We will probably only add 10 or so pages while you are gone....

Michael - glad other people enjoy The Hat. I also enjoy Tommy's in LA, but my DH enjoys it a lot more and would drive there between classes to get lunch.

Annie - your attitude regarding your husband's Parkinsons is inspiring. I also have a dreaded disease that hits me now and then and it is all in the attitude. You are right - I consider myself doing lemon shots every day of my life!

Also, just watching the news and for all of you from Britain - Prince Harry just arrived in the US and he is so adorable!!!! Do the girls just love him over there?

Went to sit in the garden for a while and had to come back in as I got too hot.....thats very unusual! Its supposed to get even hotter by Sunday....maybe they're readying us for our cruise?!



I may even have to go for another swim later to cool down......what's everyone else up to this fine Friday evening?

Quite excited as the swimming costume has arrived, and it fits!!!! Wow. It is a skirted one, and I have been waiting for it to come back in stock for ages. I really wasn't expecting it to fit, so just can't believe it.....

What a fabulous deal!! I think those in the Armed Services deserve appreciation in any form but it is especially nice to see the DCL show their appreciation.

That reminds me that I wanted to share a wedding shower gift I made for my friend Peter and his bride (I don't think I posted this already...sorry if I did). He's a HUGE Phillies fan as he grew up in that area. Furthermore, he's a baseball nut. So I pulled together an ensemble that joins his love for baseball and her love for entertaining with a baseball bbq party themed gift. I featured the Phillies and her grad school Alma Mater, the Rice Owls, on the platter I made. I'm thinking when they have kids, I'm going to make coordinating small plates for a gift with the child's name and "induction date" (birth date) to the team.

Bought my DD a shirt from JcPenny (Jr's Dept) with this saying - I'm not short - I'm fun size.

I bought the kids Yoda t-shirt that says "you must be this tall to ride this ride."

Dh spent time at the Muhammad Ali Center, where he was diagnosed with Parkinson's. Wow, can life change in a blink of an eye.
Changes are being made and meds are added and more Dr's appointment.
Hardest part is Phoenix is a 4 hr drive! One way! If I wanted to drive 4 hrs... I would go west and be at Disneyland!!! Oh , thats right, I have to wait till November for that!
So anyway...meds are very costly and if one doesnt work, try another costly one! There is lots of hope and new studies are going on all the time.
If life gives you lemons... just make some lemon jello shots and have a party! Life is still good!
