Gus got up at 5am and didn't get home with his until after 3pm!!! This will be his 4th iPhone. He's on that thing so much I call it the other woman!!! :rotfl:
I just cant believe folks would wait in line for a phone:confused3
Oh you chatty people!:lmao:

think I gave up and started reading every other page! And that still took me all day:laughing:

Welcome all newbie! This board is special. If you cant sleep ... you always have someone to talk to and about anything... including underware!
Chip and Dale!!! Oh my... I had tears rolling down my face:lmao:

M4travels: Glendora! DH and I grew up a few miles away in La Puente. But we moved away more then 30 years ago. Im still a California girl at heart.

Su: hope you get well quickly, nothing is more irratating then dental problems.
A big MAHALO to you for all the work you have done on the t-shirts.

Erik: Another big MAHALO to you and Jason for all the work you are and have done on the lanyards!:worship:

If life gives you lemons... just make some lemon jello shots and have a party!:rotfl: Life is still good!

Annie
Annie, big big hugs coming your way from scotland.:flower3:
:thumbsup2

Cool - now what time have are you thinking for this? I'm SO NOT a morning person. :lmao:

.
Well I think Disney seems to be going to do it, and since we are arriving late we would be best to go with the disney staff?

Good morning everyone ... only 9 pages overnight .... I call that slacking !!!!

Last evening we attended our DS's "Record of Achievement" Ceremony .... it is a sort of high school graduation over here, where they go up on stage and receive a record of achievement. They all dress up to the nines and look very sophisticated and mature. Anyway, it was a very emotional evening, my youngest leaving school etc. but it was lovely seeing him all scrubbed up

How exciting .... I think wider lanyards will be great. I enjoy pin collecting although I haven't done it on a cruise as yet.
I can't wait to see these lanyards

Have a lovely time in Pitlochry We will miss you  Is Len going too ?
Yes, were all going to a cottage, Me,Len,Shaunie and her friend, we are going to see runrig on sunday night at the the fstival theatre and my friends, mum and dad are coming up to go, will be a squeeze but should be fun.

Just think of all the cool international slang we can all take home with us ;)

I'm sure they are fabulous! I'm a pin trader too so its nice to know I will have something to put them on.

definitely no offense here

Lets face it, aren't 95% of us shorted and fatter than we'd like to be? ;)

We call these skivvies - didn't realise it could be misinterpreted! Just shows you can't be too careful
tukwinter06skivvie.jpg
In scotland, we call folk that do the lowly job skivies, like pot washers, or if say dads building a wall I will be his skivvy ie carry the bricks, make the tea and the like.
I'm pleased you managed to get your problem diagnosed Marilyn and I hope the meds work.

I have been to the fracture clinic and have basically been told to behave myself and rest my right hand for the next 2 weeks at least. Otherwise it will become a chronic condition. :scared1::scared1: and since a working right hand is essential in my midwifery practice then thats not a good thing to have a chronic condition with .... so back to slow left-handed typing and not much else I can't even get on with FE gifts as they need 2 hands

Any suggestions as to what I can do to pass the time for the next 2 weeks?
YES< you could catch the train to my house and spend some time with us walking the beagles:thumbsup2
Being new to DIS and just booking this cruise, I've been lurking and not really chatting. I do enjoy reading (skimming?) the chatter.

Welcome to anyone new and best wishes to all with medical issues (been trough gallbladder surgery--no more pain but have to keep away from fatty foods).

Q: We are on late sitting and haven't requested a specific table size. Is there a way to request being placed with DIS folks?
Welcome, we are Lynne and Leonard from scotland.
Quite excited as the swimming costume has arrived, and it fits!!!! Wow. It is a skirted one, and I have been waiting for it to come back in stock for ages. I really wasn't expecting it to fit, so just can't believe it. I usually have to go and try on the whole shop before finding one that does, and this was just one I sent for online. If only everything was so simple. Bust support isn't too great, but there you go!!! I don't wander around much, or even hang around in my bathers onboard, so it suits me fine. Another thing to tick of the list.
No jumping jacks for you then Granny marilyn:lmao:

They skirted ones are very pretty ,I like them, where did you get it?
Thank you all for the good wishes regarding my doctor visit. Taking more meds now so a bit groggy at the moment. I had better not go online shopping!!!:rotfl2:

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Take care Marilyn, pancreatitis is horrible:flower3:

I know why the Captain was lurking! I will catch on - I promise.

Yes, the plaques they did display on our cruise - right by Guest Services on a table - Deck 3!

DH is finally taking me out for dinner to celebrate 41 years of marriage that was back on June 7. We are going to a cute pub where our oldest son is displaying some of his photographs. can't wait

Oh, congratulations! Have a lovely evening :)

Greetings all - got back yesterday from the Baltic cruise. It was brilliant and I can say for sure we are all going to have a fab time on the WBTA.
If you`ve any questions just ask!
I`ll attempt to catch up on this thread in the next few days!

Sounds like you had a good time, tell us all about it!:cool1:

Do you mean Capt. Thord?

Yep. He is so hard to understand during his 12 noon maritime updates. I think they are interesting, at least what I can understand. They also need to pump up the volume when he is speaking, because he is so soft-spoken. Otherwise, he does a fine job!

I'm getting ready to go to the Philadelphia Phillies baseball game with a bunch of people from work.

Enjoy it - hopefully it won't be too hot and they'll pull out a win! I was there last Saturday when they blew the 5 run lead in the 9th - brutally hot (it started at 4).

Wonder what number we can hit through July and August??? :rolleyes1

Camarillo is my home town. On a Friday, there will be lots of traffic as you leave Santa Barbara. The good news is that the outets in Camarillo won't be crownded. Usually its only bad on weekends. Have a safe trip!

Congratulations on your discount!!! You deserve it!

Wow, just missing a few days of reading and I'm behind so many pages.

I hope all of you with health issues are better soon! My mom had her gall bladder removed and she had complications as well. Wishing you a pain free and speedy recovery!

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!
-Michelle-
My cousin used to stay there in camirillo, weve been to thousand oaks, in fact a year ago today we were in La :cloud9:

Does that include games in the Rockin Bar D? :rolleyes1 :cool1:

That's what I was thinking!! You added almost 10 pages in 1 day! :lmao:

Does this mean that Chip and Dale are more like the Chippendales? :rotfl2:

Len thought that was what spank was,:lmao::lmao::rotfl2: He called and asked me at work:rotfl2: thought it was a game for after dark, man hes so funny sometimes.ps he will kill me for typing this, I refrained for 3 days then gave into it
I bought the kids Yoda t-shirt that says "you must be this tall to ride this ride." :lmao:

:hug::hug: Big hugs to you in these trying times. If you need some additional ideas on what else to make with lemons, let me know! :thumbsup2

I'm thinking we should put together an English to English to English dictionary so that none of us get ourselves in trouble over certain words! :rotfl:

Yep. He is so hard to understand during his 12 noon maritime updates. I think they are interesting, at least what I can understand. They also need to pump up the volume when he is speaking, because he is so soft-spoken. Otherwise, he does a fine job!

We had him, I loved to listen to him but it was a strain.

We are also booked on the Aug 30th Alaska:cool1:

ALEXANDMADDIE

When is your Alaska Cruise ? We are on the Aug 30 ond it looks like you are close to that.

I am booked on the Aug. 30 Alaska Cruise also!!

Cool - now what time have are you thinking for this? I'm SO NOT a morning person. :lmao:

:thumbsup2 I can vouch for that..... you are lucky if you see Laura before noon most days!! :rotfl: She knows I love her tho.....

Hot to us tends to be anything over 25 so I think we reached 26/27 today. Its gonna be 28/29 on Sunday and hotter still on Tuesday!

Not sure how our weather translates, but 96 on Wednesday, 94 yesterday and 97 today. heat index put s us at 104 today... YUCK! There is no breeze, it is just hot and humid. We really need a deck 9 breeze to ru throught the area... :thumbsup2

GIVE NOTHING BACK!!

Today has been a rough day. Finally got to the dentist, and what I was expecting (root canal and crown) turned into 4 crowns and a fracture that went straight to the pulp of the tooth - so it was extracted, and I will need to go for an implant.

Welcome to everyone new and welcome back to those that have been DIS free for a while (How did you manage without us?)! Please remember to check out the first page of this thread, and visit the website to sign up for roll call! We are still looking for pictures for the website - please email them to photos@transatlanticpirates.com.

I will try and keep up, but I think I am heading to nap a while... If I miss the move to part 7 you are all chatting too much! I have posted the FE, Shirts and Tastings there already, so let me know if you are confirmed, paying or joining via PM and I will update my master list!

Restfull weekends to everyone!

Ok, I give 'faffing" with it????? I am going to have such a fab vocabulary by this cruise!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Yosemite is so beautiful. Yesterday we hiked the Panorama Trail (8.2 miles) from Glacier Point to the Yosemite Valley. We went past three waterfalls. Priceless.

I've been away from the boards for three days, and already there's another 35 pages. I don't know if I'll ever catch up.

He reminds me a captain named Mario we once had on Sitmar who had a very thick Italian accent. All I remember him saying one time was "hurricane" and he had the whole boat in a panic.

All he meant to say was he was altering course to avoid a hurricane but he was so hard to understand all we heard was hurricane.

What great memories. I still have a picture of him with our whole family in my family room.

Okay, for us newbies, what am I missing here??

Its a Pirates greeting ....when we be pillaging & plundering are measly lil black hearts out ....Its like saying "Hey whats up" ...lol It started many years ago since the first POTC came out and Mr Gibbs and Captain Jack cheered at the bar in Tortuga ...Then on prior cruises it was something we salty Pirates yelled out to each other on the ship ...again a form of saying Hello ..... heres a video clip from At Worlds End where they do it again ...kind of like a Hello or Goodbye as it were ...

so , there you go ....
