How exciting!! You won't need to justify yourself to Mark you know. He would give you the world!!!

Oh Marilyn, you know him so well! (without even meeting) It's just my own guilty conscience really!:guilty::rolleyes1

Anyone seen the great new links at the bottom left of the post box, you can FB, tweet or e-mail a post to those who are away!

I send important posts to myself all the time and then copy and paste into my cruise journal.

Ohhh good spot

CURVALICIOUS! Not well-rounded - although we are - CURVALICIOUS has a more "-ICIOUS" sound to it.

And the vertically challenged...

oh shucks, I am in that club too! Hey great news for me so is DH

Curvalicious? I can live with that :rotfl: .

Going to the doctor's soon to see if he can help with the continuing pain after having had my gallbladder out. I have given it 5 weeks, but the pain is almost the same as it was before, and indeed since the pancreatitis in December. In other ways I feel so much better, but I want to get on top of the pain. As is usual in these things(sod's law they call it), the last 2 days have been the best I have had, which is good of course, but :headache: when it comes to going to the doc's!!!:lmao: I have had good days before only for the pain to come back again, so I am going to go anyway.:confused3 We have to make non urgent appointments so far in advance for the doc you want.

Hopefully it won't interfere with all my planning and the cruise, though it does mess up the insurance side of things.

I pray that all of you who are suffering find respite from the pain and a good solution to your problems. We want everyone well and healthy. I know from friends' experiences that pancreas problems can be really unpleasant.

Dh went to the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center, I hear it's the best in the country. So there may be some trials he can get into.
And thanks for the good wishes and pixie dust!

Annie:flower3:

Annie, I hope they find a treatment that works well for your DH.

Lets face it, aren't 95% of us shorted and fatter than we'd like to be? ;)

As Garfield the cat says, "I'm not overweight; I'm undertall."

We call these skivvies - didn't realise it could be misinterpreted! Just shows you can't be too careful :rotfl2:

Oh, yeah, that could cause a real misunderstanding!

Hope that the pain doesn't come back and they can find what it is!

I'm pleased you managed to get your problem diagnosed Marilyn and I hope the meds work. :wizard:

I have been to the fracture clinic and have basically been told to behave myself and rest my right hand for the next 2 weeks at least. Otherwise it will become a chronic condition. :scared1::scared1: and since a working right hand is essential in my midwifery practice then thats not a good thing to have a chronic condition with .... so back to slow left-handed typing and not much else :sad2: I can't even get on with FE gifts as they need 2 hands :sad2:

Any suggestions as to what I can do to pass the time for the next 2 weeks?

All my suggestions ie farmville, disboards etc wouldn't be resting!

Being new to DIS and just booking this cruise, I've been lurking and not really chatting. I do enjoy reading (skimming?) the chatter.

Welcome to anyone new and best wishes to all with medical issues (been trough gallbladder surgery--no more pain but have to keep away from fatty foods).

Q: We are on late sitting and haven't requested a specific table size. Is there a way to request being placed with DIS folks?

Quite excited as the swimming costume has arrived, and it fits!!!! Wow. It is a skirted one, and I have been waiting for it to come back in stock for ages. I really wasn't expecting it to fit, so just can't believe it. I usually have to go and try on the whole shop before finding one that does, and this was just one I sent for online. If only everything was so simple. Bust support isn't too great, but there you go!!! I don't wander around much, or even hang around in my bathers onboard, so it suits me fine. Another thing to tick of the list.

If you pm Sarah (Totally Angelic) she will link all of us who wish to sit together :)

How exciting! Aren't we doing well today?!:cool1:

Oh Sarah - I am sorry. That is rough! Hope you pass the time with fun and you heal well.

Ok... so Ive been missing for awhile. Life goes on and on, and things change in a hurry. Dh and I spent a few days in Phoenix. Had some great dinners. (Ok.. we dont have big name eateries here, 1 Chile's.)
Dh spent time at the Muhammad Ali Center, where he was diagnosed with Parkinson's.:sad2: Wow, can life change in a blink of an eye.
Changes are being made and meds are added and more Dr's appointment.
Hardest part is Phoenix is a 4 hr drive! One way!:headache: If I wanted to drive 4 hrs... I would go west and be at Disneyland!!!:cool1: Oh , thats right, I have to wait till November for that!:cool1:
So anyway...meds are very costly and if one doesnt work, try another costly one! There is lots of hope and new studies are going on all the time.
If life gives you lemons... just make some lemon jello shots and have a party!:rotfl: Life is still good!

Annie:flower3:

I'm sorry to hear about the diagnosis. Your attitude is great and I'm sure will be a great comfort to your DH.

Oh no! I hope you find a treatment and are much more comfortable soon.

I am definitely CURVALICIOUS! Right, DH? However, I am not vertically challenged - I'm 5'10. However I am shoe-challenged (which is worse!) My shoe size is 11 or 12. Try finding shoes easily for cheap with my size feet!

Thank you all for the good wishes regarding my doctor visit. Taking more meds now so a bit groggy at the moment. I had better not go online shopping!!!:rotfl2:

How about you give your DH his undies early and ask for a little catwalk demo? :smokin:

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

You are very welcome. I have heard that also. DH's Dad and Uncle went to the Cleveland Clinic is Ohio who I understand also has a good reputation.

I know I did research on the sites:
