Am I the only one who's just a little disturbed at the placement of the acorns in this picture?
Thanks for the heads up----Jason is away in NC this week for work and won't be back until Friday night. When he gets home I'll ask him what he wants to do. Maybe we'll go online and see if there are times we like and then decide if we'd rather scuba or dolphin.
Also----I'm so...."SAD" that I missed spanx talk! Although I have seen remnants of it in the form of speedo talk and images of underpants
You may even have time to scuba and do the dolphin encounter

They both sound like great activities.
Don't worry, we'll save some Spanx talk for on the ship for you.
The thought of many "tried" Spanx being returned is a little disturbing, but having a stretched pair would be nice!
If no one else is going to say it, I will! Are Chip & Dale stumbling with their nuts? ...and green? Glad they're not blue. That would be sad.
(Okay...Hope that didn't offend anyone.)
Eeewwwww!

It takes a lot more than a couple of nut chasers to offend me!
....the lanyards ARRIVED at my house on Tuesday!
Oooh, My first lanyard! It's very exciting, they sound very cool. Gay guys taste is always impeccable (not stereotyping at all, lol, GWOK's!), So I'm sure they are FANTASTIC!
We bought it years ago - I want to say probably Cruise 4 in '05 on the cruise. I haven't seen them since, but I will be more than happy to show you. If you are going on the Dream, they might sell them then. I knew I had to have it when I saw it. It was because of Capt. Tom that we went on the TA in '07. We were on the Mother's Day cruise in '06 and my husband was talking to Capt. Tom about having cruises with more sea days, he said that we should definitely go on the '07 and my husband booked that day! I wish he listened to me like he does Capt. Tom!!!
I'm going to have a talk to our WBTA captain, and get him to recommend a Dream Cruise to my husband........Can't hurt trying?
Speaking of RV, we leave today for a week in Oregon. It has been WAY too long since we have taken it out on the road. So, I will likely be hundreds of pages behind next weekend, maybe even threads behind the way we are going. I don't think I will get online while we are gone.
Have a fantastic time, What a fabulous life you lead, Oh I can't wait to retire, OK, so I don't work now, but DH does, So I can't wait for him to retire
We got a cabin #! We'll be in 7126.
YAY, Room assignments have started, or have they
Maybe we can make pins special for this cruise?
Connie
Great idea? Anyone know where to start?
This will be our sixth cruise, so our first gold cruise.
I'm (Andrea) traveling with DH (Michael), DS12 (Zachary) and DS10 (Adam). We are in room 5012. We are taking
DCL air, so don't know our flight plans yet. Unfortunately, DH can't take any more days off work than he already is, so we plan on being a bit tired on 9/18 after what I'm sure will be a long day/night of travel. I think the excitement will help us out, though.
I'll be one of the few men with you doing laundry...
You will get to check out all the ladies Spanx!
Jason and I will be doing laundry, too----and we're technically men (those of you who remember the tigger and tinker bell conversation of a couple weeks ago should get a chuckle out of that! . We'll probably be playing games in the laundry room (or nearby) while we wait for our loads to get done!
And we can check out your girlie knickers, I'm sure Tinkerbell has green frilly ones,

I am also height challenged and now the shortest family member. But my DGD (age 12) now calls me "fun size".
I love it, Fun Size
He actually blamed it on people getting off at every port, and not making it back until right at dinner seatings. So, no one at the pool = less tips. From what he said on facebook, he misses the magic. I wonder if he will move to the dream next contract... If you do see him, he is AWESOME!!!
That makes sense, I bet you'd get great service on port days at the pool though
This weekend i'm off to Paris(disneyland). Hopefully i don't have to take a day off to read all the messages on this board.
Connie
Have a great day!
Oh now what I would say is we got stopped for playing cards for Gold Fish Crackers on DCL once so you may get people stopping you if they think you are betting but it sounds like a cool idea. Wish I knew how to play poker.
My DD Bella loves original goldfish, we can't get them here, Can she play?
I'm off to Disneyland Paris in a couple of weeks time for 4 days .... maybe i should just admit defeat now,
after taking 4 days away i'll miss about 50 pages and countless underwear themed conversation.
SW
Have fun, We'll save the push up / booster bra conversation for you.

Anyone seen the great new links at the bottom left of the post box, you can FB, tweet or e-mail a post to those who are away!
I send important posts to myself all the time and then copy and paste into my cruise journal.
Pj
Didn't know you could do that, Thanks
Very Well done. I think these will be a great building block for school projects.
Pj
Very cool - I will see if I can find some far oiut facts and make some pages as well!
My DD's will only be 8 and 9 at the time we travel, So obviously you'll want something more in depth for older kids. My kids are allowed the time off school as long as they keep a journal, I also have one for our time in WDW that I got from another Dis'er and customised to suit us.
I am so excited today! Thanks to someone's heads up on here I found out that they'd opened up military discount rates yesterday (I'd been checking daily for a month or more but hadn't yet checked yesterday until I saw it mentioned.) $999/$799/$599 per adult for Cat 6/Cat 9/Cat 11 respectively, and $399 per child. My fabulous FIL (retired Navy) who will be on the ship with us, rebooked at these rates, giving up his assigned Cat 5 cabin for a Cat 6 GTY, and rebooked our room as well, saving us over $900 and we upgraded from Cat 10 GTY to Cat 6 GTY in the process! And we didn't lose any of our Palo or other ressies (though we did both lose the rebooking benefits and DCL OBC.) Yea!! More money for tastings, pictures, drinks, excursions and SPA treatments!!!
That is fantastic, Good onya
$2,136.60 is the total cost for 2 adults at the Military rates including taxes, but excluding insurance or transfers. ($999/adult for Cat 6 plus taxes.) The non-discounted cost for a Cat 6 on the DCL site tonight is $5,056.60, so that's a savings of $2,920 or a 58% discount!
WOW, Great saving, Hopefully there are more of you who can take advantage of this offer.
Ok... so Ive been missing for awhile. Life goes on and on, and things change in a hurry. Dh and I spent a few days in Phoenix. Had some great dinners. (Ok.. we dont have big name eateries here, 1 Chile's.)
Dh spent time at the Muhammad Ali Center, where he was diagnosed with Parkinson's.

Wow, can life change in a blink of an eye.
Changes are being made and meds are added and more Dr's appointment.
Hardest part is Phoenix is a 4 hr drive! One way!

If I wanted to drive 4 hrs... I would go west and be at Disneyland!!! Oh , thats right, I have to wait till November for that!
So anyway...meds are very costly and if one doesnt work, try another costly one! There is lots of hope and new studies are going on all the time.
If life gives you lemons... just make some lemon jello shots and have a party! Life is still good!
Annie
You have a fantastic outlook on life, I know your sense of humour and positivity are going to serve you well in times to come, Enjoy the lemon jello shots! We'll party with you on board!
Going to the doctor's soon to see if he can help with the continuing pain after having had my gallbladder out. I have given it 5 weeks, but the pain is almost the same as it was before, and indeed since the pancreatitis in December. In other ways I feel so much better, but I want to get on top of the pain. As is usual in these things(sod's law they call it), the last 2 days have been the best I have had, which is good of course, but when it comes to going to the doc's!!! I have had good days before only for the pain to come back again, so I am going to go anyway. We have to make non urgent appointments so far in advance for the doc you want.
Hopefully it won't interfere with all my planning and the cruise, though it does mess up the insurance side of things.
As much I really do feel your pain right now, Thank-you for this post. Let me explain......I have 6 gallbladder tumours and am having some troubles with them and gallbladder sludge at the moment. I had a bad attack last week and the doctor wants me to have it taken out. I haven't had any major problems for 6 months, but I was eating bad.

Anyway, I chose NOT to have it taken out right now, as If I eat well and look after myself (I see a naturopath) I am mostly pain free. I have read so much about people having just as much pain, loose bowel movements and nausea after the surgery, So why would I undergo surgery if nothing is going to change? I don't have stones so there minimal chances of the tumours dislodging, Otherwise I would probably have it taken out.
I truly hope you get some relief soon, My naturopath put me onto a website that has some great info, Especially about Diet, There are definitely foods that set me off (coffee, more than 3 alcoholic drinks, excessive dairy, nuts!), It may be worth looking at. If you think the surgery is worth it, please give me you opinion, TIA.
