We have had six cats over the span of 16 years. First ones were Cobain and Gilmour by way of my daughter. At 17 mos. Gilmour had kidney failure so we regretfully had to put him down. It was like a funeral procession as we all visited the vet. That was the first time I saw my hubby really cry over the loss of a pet even though we had had two dogs before that. These cats have really wormed their way into his heart.
Then came Scooter as a playmate for Cobain. He was very vocal and took to my hubby like glue. Then we took in Miles and Ella since my oldest son could not have them in his apartment.
Then five years ago, Scooter had congestive heart failure and passed in the vet's office. I remember the look of utter disbelief in the Vet's face when he came out to tell me. It seemed that the minute he passed, Cobain became the very vocal one. Almost like Scooter never let him get a word in edge wise!!!
Two years ago Josie came here because my daughter's son became allergic.
A year ago, we had to put Cobain down. He had become very arthritic and lost so much weight and was in such pain. That was the hardest or so I thought. I swear the minute we got home, then Miles became the very vocal one. Now that Miles has passed, his sister Ella is the noisiest one.
Josie is a close second.
My hubby who never really liked cats growing up is so cute when he talks to the girls
