We would LOVE to have anything you can find from a craft shop. No, it doesn't have to be DCL. Just think of Princess Night, games you might play. music you might here, shows - Villians, etc. It will be fun and easy and just think of the cool stuff you will get in return!

Go on then! Ill join! Why not!

I appreciate all the good thoughts and words of wisdom and sympathy in regards to Sidney and mom. Truly they are appreciated. I hadn't even thought about it being good that she was there when he passed to run over the rainbow. I promise to pass along all your sweet sympathies and support to her.

....I am crying big tears here, still thinking about Miles passing in my arms. It has only been two months and it still hurts so much.
Terry its been 5 years since my Babies died in my arms just 6 months apart and I can honestly say you aren't the only one crying! It still hurts today!

OMG. I am *SO SORRY*!!! I didn't mean to bring sad personal moments back from the past to mind. :sad1: I selfishly didn't even consider that it would hit too close to home for some of you. I simply.....wasn't........ thinking. I'm so sorry for your losses as well. :grouphug:

Okay...back to cruise talk and happier thoughts.

....For those planning on doing a tour where they pick you up at the airport, do the tour, then have them drop you off at your accomodations.....How do you know who you can trust if you're doing a tour where you get out of the vehicle.....

I agree that you have to go with a trusted tour group and read reviews from anywhere but their own site!

....The recital went wonderfully! My sister and I ushered before the show and I ended up seeing somebody from high school....her father died in the World Trade Center on 9/11...I told myself that if I ever saw her, I would let her know that - so I had the chance to tell her that last night.....

I enjoyed the recital - the little kids were so cute! ....When we walked onto the stage, so many people were cheering - I was so taken back. The dance went wonderfully and I LOVED being on stage! ....After the recital was over, we had two different complete strangers tell us how well we did. I have to admit, after 27 years of dancing that made me feel really good! :goodvibes...

Oh I'm so thrilled you had a wonderful recital, Amy! Your enthusiasm shows through your words, which is simply awesome! Your sharing of warm thoughts to your classmate is very touching. I'm sure it did mean a lot to her. Very sweet.

....Really? Jason and I have these 3in1 sheets and we think they work really well...hmmmmmm :confused3....
Erik,

As mentioned, YMMV. I'm glad the 3-in-1 sheets work for you.

On the EBTA thread, people had mixed reviews......

I went back to the Pop Century FAQ thread where I first heard about these and asked if any of them had had problems as well. One said she heard that someone had staining issues, but not hers personally. About 4 or 5 others stated they have used them with no problems whatsoever. One point someone made (and maybe it was here) is that it may be of benefit to drop the sheet in the washer as its filling up with water then add the clothes after it's been nearly filled. So...back to Woody's point, I guess to each their own. I'll certainly look at the instructions and literature when I receive my freebie package.

Hello all Disney Cruisers, I am finally signing on. WE are down to the TWO digits and can start getting my mind ready......:cheer2:
I am certain you could sign in daily and post, but that would mean a little less farmville, cafe world and every other game you place on facebook:rotfl2:

Oh and so folks are clear, this is my Dsis! Shame her into coming here more often and being part of this group!;)

Welcome, welcome!!!!

LOL! I could probably gain a couple of hours a day if I stayed away from my FB apps, too!

Heat index for the past several days has been between 105 and 110!!
I would be glad to share some of it with you.....

So glad others are willing to take you up on your offer, Pam, because I now can NOT feel guilty for emphatically declining your generosity!

Room Tour
...Stateroom numbers and map/route will be available nearer the time.

I will print maps and bring them or e-mail them to you so you can print them.

If you still need it, I would be happy to include my cabin, 2004, to the list to cover the Cat 9. Not only does it cover the Cat 9, but it's also unique because it has a bump of about 2' because of its location in regards to the design of the ship.

Happy Monday, everyone. It's been a long time since I've posted here.....but, we are paid up and we are going on this cruise :thumbsup2 . I'm just sorry we missed out on ordering the t-shirts :sad2:....

Great seeing your return!

Although you missed out on ordering the embarkation/logo t-shirts, did you notice that you can still participate in the Mickey Mouse Club t-shirts? Details on ordering that on your own is in Post #1. Also, you could consider making your own embarkation t-shirts with iron-on paper, if that's something of interest to you.

I have terrible news for our family to pass along, and if you're a pet lover, you will understand. It's just not easy to stay away from the "what ifs".

Please send good thoughts in the wind for my mom....she needs them. Thank you! :)
My heart is aching for you and your family. Please know that you are ALL in our thoughts. May you mom find peace in her memories.

Still having problems with my Vertigo. I am seeing the Dr today and will ask about maybe getting my allergies under control since that is what brought on the last episode. Now I am getting nauseous a lot too. This really sucks.
There is a treatment called vistibular therapy that helps with vertigo. Hope you can get some relief for those allergies as well.
Just thought I would share.

Terry its been 5 years since my Babies died in my arms just 6 months apart and I can honestly say you aren't the only one crying! It still hurts today!
My heart is breaking for you too!

I am heading home. I will catch up with you guys tonight (assuming I can stay awake) Now to figure out what to have for dinner.

Kimberly, don't feel bad, we would want you and anyone else to vent, cry or just morn the loss of any of our furry friends. They are family and we all talk about our family all the time.:goodvibes:grouphug:
I can cry at the drop of a hat nowadays.

Dear Kimberly

My heart just sank when I read your post. How aweful for your mom and all of you. I wish I could wave a magic wand and make it all better. But I can't. I am so sorry for your mom. I really hope she can adopt another dog. If being a puppy is to much I hope there is a doggy just waiting for her.

All of us who are pet owners. Know they are our furbabies. I know I will see my furbabies at ranibow bridge some day.

Big Hugs

I am doing all kinds of therapy, but with the allergies flaring up, that can cause a relapse or just another episode. I am hoping the Dr will agree to refer me to an allergist to see if they can add any other options. Heck, I will do acupuncture if it would help!!!!

Hello all! I just checked in on another thread and Gizmo (and someone else) answered and invited me over here...

We are doing the Westbound Transatlantic in September. Dh and I and our four daughters ages almost 18, almost 15, 13 and 12. We are homeschoolers and do school pretty much year round so we can do stuff like this at odd times! We've got flights to Barcelona, hotel, and are working on excursion decisions now. I still need to get tickets from Orlando back to home when the cruise is over... so will do that soon....

What else should I have in an intro? lol OH OH, I know, this is our second Disney (or any other kind of) Cruise.

Welcome aboard. We are Noel and John. I wish our GD's who are the same age as two of your children (15 and 13) but school schedules would not permit.

Be sure you read page one of this thread to see all the great activities planned. Also there is a website www.transatlanticpirates.com where you can see pics of other cruisers and see about joining FE groups etc.

You were not being selfish you were reaching out to people and thats perfectly OK! Don't you dare appologise for that OK? Otherwise I will have to come and shake you when we get onboard!

HEy glad you found us OK. Check out Page 1 for all the cool things going on onboard. I think you can still sign up for Lanyards and for Fish Extender exchange I believe (think so anyway) but check the 1st page for specifics!

I'm Sarah (one of 3 I think now - are we still at 3????) and this is going to be my 6th DCL cruise. I've done 2 TA's in 2007 which was actually the last time I sailed with them. I'm travelling with my other half Dan (who has never been on a cruise at all so it will be fun for him I'm sure) and fingers crossed my Mum & Dad and Sister & hubby (although they are still sorting leave as can't confirm until nearer the date.

We are pretty much sorted now I think flight etc wise. Were flying in on the pm of the 17th due to leave issues but can't wait!

Hi NachoMama,
Just saying hello. We also homeschool our 2 DD ages 13 and 9, and like to travel at odd times of the year. We have moved to year round school in the past 2 years to help accomodate traveling. As we were doing math today I had to remind myself that I will appreciate it come Sept. We are only taking fun books on the WBTA- NO School work for this trip. PM me if you have any questions or would like our 13 year olds to email each other to get to know one another before the cruise.

Welcome!! I have a 13 year old that is also homeschooled so Abby is excited to hear that more kids are on board her age! Where is home??

Kimberly - don't feel bad telling us - we are "family". We are having a huge thunderstorm and my 100 lb. Rotti jumped and she is sitting on my feet. I just love it. What would we do without them?

Also - Sarah - YEAH on the scrapbooking - you are on the list!:cool1:

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. The weather was beautiful in San Francisco this weekend, but a little warm for my liking (86 on Saturday) since I don't have air conditioning. I finally booked my flight home last week (MCO-SFO) for $130 (plus luggage fees). So now the only thing left is to book my excursions on 6/20 and I am all set. I missed doing the Double Digit Dance - I am down to 83 days - ack - must get a move on getting things organized - this trip will be here before I know it! I did start to budget how much money I am going to need for this month long excursion and it is scaring me - I may need to cut back on the Drink of the Day and Spa allocations.

I have terrible news for our family to pass along, and if you're a pet lover, you will understand. About 15 minutes before I was suppose to have arrived at my mom's Sunday morning, I called her to let her know that I was running late and was just about to leave home. It takes about 70 minutes to get to her place. She said that was okay and don't rush. She was still getting ready herself. When I arrived, she was standing up between the couch and coffee table, visably shaken up with red eyes. I looked over at her husband, who was sitting in a chair, and he was just staring at the floor, sniffling. Something was certainly not right. My thoughts were that maybe they had just had a fight or something.

I asked if she was okay, and she said "I just lost Sidney", her Bichon Frise. So I'm thinking "Well why aren't you outside looking for him?" Outloud, I asked "What do you mean? You lost him?" Well that's what didn't feel right as soon as I walked in. He wasn't there barking at me with his tale wagging a hundred miles an hour.

"He got ran over by a car" was her response. Since she was still waiting for me, she went to the credit union to get some cash from the ATM, so Sidney went with her. She had put on his collar before leaving the house and put his leash in the car with her purse. When she got to the credit union building, she parked and got out of the car. She turned around before closing the door to make sure she didn't close it on him, but he wasn't there. Apparently he saw two young girls in the parking lot, so he darted out of the car to make new friends, unknowing to her. She kept calling for him, walked around the car, but couldn't find him. Then she looked up and saw the two girls staring at the street. This is the part that is still unclear to me, but for some reason he darted across the street. A car hit him, breaking his neck. She said "All I saw as a white puff laying in the road". After being stunned, she asked the girls if he was dead, and one tearfully said "I think so". Mom ran into the street, and she said she saw his head slightly move. She picked him up, and his eyes were fixed on her, so she closed them, just as a nurse (and she is one) would do. About two minutes later, he became lifeless. If there can be any good, we're so thankful that his death was nearly instant, but we believe he had no pain.

We're just so devasted. I feel so horrible for her, and even as I type this I am crying. He was her true companion, and she relied on Sidney for love and affection because she doesn't get it from her husband. She's also afraid her husband is going to blame her because Sidney was in her care when it happened. Of course she never expected him to dart out of the car, so it's not her fault. My grandmother and I have been talking about it, and everything about the story is just not usual behavior for Sidney to run so far away from his mommy. Although some have already said "No, Kimberly", I feel guilty. If I had been at her place on time, she wouldn't have had time to go the ATM with Sidney, and it never would have happened. It's just not easy to stay away from the "what ifs".

Please send good thoughts in the wind for my mom....she needs them. Thank you! :)

Well, I have pages and pages of posts to catch up on...

Have a good one.

OMG - so sorry please let your mom know we are thinking about her. I can't even begin to image that. :grouphug:

Good fare!! We got Southwest for $125 each back to San Jose on Oct 3 as easier for pickup.

Our budget numbers are soaring too. I am trying to keep things down but you how that goes!!:rotfl::rotfl:
