I think I wasn't clean enough in my post. I did pm her about her hearing from you and DH. I meant the other family with kids (Halls of VA) may want to do a different tour if the kids are not up to it after a long flight.

gotcha.

So now Ive fallen out with 14yo dn and left wondering which of here friends stole from me:confused: after I paid for them to go to barby last night, even worse one of them is meant to be going on hols with us in a few weeks, but I suppose thats only if they are talking to me, why would dn believe them before me? As if I would want to go there unless I was 100% sure.

Do you know, its so silly but you guys mean so much with your kind words, now I wish I had played it cool,I achieved nothing really except fall out with Shaunie, I truly believe she doesnt know who took it,and believes them when they tell her they never. I also believe I know which one did take it, but there you go, Ive got no proof.
Len wasnt here(still isnt) to be the calm one

Lyn you've had some wise words from Marilyn, just to say I'm sure it will get sorted, whoever took the money. Relationships with young people are so very difficult and it can be like walking on eggshells some times (I know!):rolleyes1 Your dn will soon realise how you care for her,
Hope your day gets better!

Two of our granddaughters ran the Race for Life this morning. They ran the 3 miles in 34 minutes and their mum had a hard time keeping up with them.:lmao:

For those who don't know, Race for Life is run each year at various venues up and down the country to raise money for Cancer Research. Run by women, they typically dress in pink, many with photos or tributes to family members or friends who have died of cancer. Many survivors take part too!!! It is a great fun event and you can run, walk or crawl. I'm sure there is something similar in the US.

First of all, your DGD are just ADORABLE!!! Secondly, good for them! Great race and a great way to teach them how fortunate you are to be healthy and how important it is to give!

In the US, we have something called Race for the Cure, that is specific to raising funds for breast cancer. It's very moving to go and participate in a walk or run or just to cheer on friends participating. We also get all the pink out, including pink wigs!

Here's one "small" group of people showing their support.

Well, I'm heading out to visit with my grandmother and mom for a few days.

Have a great day/evening!

I'm sure our Race for Life originally started out as a Breast Cancer support.

I admire everybody who takes part!

Good on your granddaughters.

In our area, it's a 24 hour Race for Life. They use either the high school or middle school track. Unfortunately, the middle school is fairly close to us and they have DJs blasting music all night to keep the runners/walkers motivated! It's a great cause, though. :goodvibes

We have the 'Moonwalk' which is done at night and is for Breast Cancer. Not sure how long it is, but I guess it is a walk!!! Many ladies wear bras(on the outside;)), decorated or fancy for this one!!

its 26.2 miles(dont forget the .2) :goodvibes heros, all of them.

I typically hold onto free samples of detergent that I sign up for or receive in the mail/newspaper for vacation use when I know I'm going to need to do laundry prior to getting home.

Someone recently posted the following link for two free 3-1 Purex sheets. I always use Tide liquid, so I'm not sure how great these are, however, under the weight restrictions we have, I'm willing to pack and use these for one or two loads for this vacation. Who knows....maybe they will be great! :confused3

PS: I've heard great reviews of Dropps as well, but these sheets still would take up less space and weight.
Thanks, Kimberly. This saves $$$ as probably would not use a whole package.

FE questions...

I was trying to get the FE groups set, and confirmed so that people who were making things could finish up and not worry about things changing. This is why I was asking for confirmations a couple of weeks ago, and to be honest I am not getting as far as I wanted. As I know not everyone can hang out here like some of us do, and that we are a hard group to keep up with, I have also sent PM's and am not getting replies.

So, I guess I just need to know how to proceed. Am I being overly anal?:rotfl: If so, I am sure I can find something else to obsess about for the next 94 days!! :rotfl2:

Also - has anyone that was GTY been assigned to a cabin? Maybe the people I am looking for will come out of the woodwork once cabin assignments start?:confused3

Sue, did I miss about confirming? I know I did skim read a few days. What do you want to know? We want to make it as easy as possible for you.

Sue - I'm up for whatever you want to do.

Hoagie pie - I love the idea of a scrapbook embellishment special FE exchange.

I was ranting about my dn and friedns, now it has been cleared up I feel bad for trashing them on here, I am not very wise soemtimes.

I am sure we all overreact at times and knowing most kids, all will be forgotten and forgiven very swiftly.:grouphug:

The picture of your GD's is just brilliant!! I just love their gorgeous smiles and outfits. You have every right to brag and be so proud of them for their accomplishment.

Just my thoughts....
