Can you call and ask when we sail or does someone know for definate.

Ive e-mailed DU but the horses mouth might be better.

I called the other day... they said we sail at 9pm.:rolleyes1
The way they keep changing the time, we might sail at 10.

Ann:cool2:

Thanks Anne, your a star.
I really really dont want to miss dinner or sail away that night but with late dinner might have a rethink on the cards.:scratchin

Had to share!! The game started ot very rough and we were down 6-0 all too fast. but the boys got it together, tied it up, went up got behind and then pulled ahead and that time it stuck!

So, the Canton Dizzy Dean 13/14 champions are the MUDCATS!!

WOO HOO!!

Well done !!! Congratulations to Stephen and his team :woohoo:

Thanks Anne, your a star.

I don't think they would do sailaway at the same time as half the passengers are eating dinner .... it is such a big part of the cruise that it really doesn't make sense to do this ... you wouldn't think so anyway and it will be a shame if they do and we have to rush our first dinner.

Im hoping for the 10 like they said awhile back. I cant see us leaving in the middle of dinner either.

If so, you'll find me and Howard on deck 10 with our servers :rotfl2:

Ann:yay:

If you "diet" you have already lost. I am the queen of failed diets and in the end I just gave up. I always said I would do something about my weight if it started to affect my health. Well, this happened late last year. I joined a gym and started to eat healthily. I have worked out how I can make healthy versions of my favourite dishes. So I am not really missing anything and therefore this is sustainable pretty much indefinitely. I had amazing results with this. I also on purpose cook far more than we need for a meal and the rest is put in Tupperware boxes and in the freezer. Every morning I take one out of the freezer and by the time I have my meal break at work, it is defrosted. I used to live on ready meals at work and this is so much tastier and also better for me.

I've never been on a diet - ever. I think diets are far too short term and revolve around depriving yourself of something which then makes you think about it even more and obsess on it. I prefer to eat healthy food 90% of the time and junk occasionally.

I also use any excuse to exercise, and I don't mean going to the gym either (can't think of anything worse) but I bike to work in nice weather, walk the dogs, go for a stroll at lunch time weather permitting etc

I did find myself putting on weight after Robert and I moved in together and found it was portion control that was my issue. Robert would cook the meals and then serve me the same size portion - being a well brought up girl, I'd politely eat it. Simple answer - smaller plate for me.

I don't have much willpower with food so I don't buy stuff at the supermarket like potato chips and chocolate biscuits - I'd eat them. I buy biscuits for Robert that I don't like. I hate ice cream so can happily have a tub of it in the freezer for Robert.

We also eat wholegrains where possible - bread, pasta etc. We ensure our meals at least 50% veges/salad and keep fat/dairy to a minimum. We also have to ensure we get enough protein as we are vegetarian.

This is a bit of a hot topic for me at there is a girl at work who often ponders why she can't loose weight and yet most mornings she sits and eats snacks out of packets - chips, popcorn etc, eats takeaway lunches, drinks canned soft drink most days and then more packet snacks in the afternoon. She declines if invited to go for a walk on a nice day at lunch and drives to the mall to get her lunches (on the rare occasion I buy lunch, I walk there)... she joined a gym but I don't think she goes very often. She is her own worst enemy  Mind you, she also comments "how lucky!" we are to travel - its called saving but don't get me started on that ;)

Some foods are just too tempting for me:scared1:.
A few weeks ago I changed my breakfast routine, weight watchers yogurt and a cup of fruit, and dropped abit of weight. Also I drink iced tea with stevia. I dont drink sodas... way too much sugar. I try to eat a salad everyday. Several times Ive done stir-fry veggies for dinner, no meat or rice.
The hardest is lunch... DH and his boss go to lunch everyday, and I go with them 2 or 3 times. Both of them raised in Italian homes!!! Food abounds!!
Im doing the subliminal messages... but they arent working too well:rotfl:

Ann:rolleyes1

Ive worked out were going to be on this cruise when we can book stuff for panama canal cruise. any ideas folks?

Yes, that is what I worked out too. :headache:Might try and ask someone on the West Coast US to try book a couple of things for us. For them it is 9pm so not asking them to stay up late or get up early. I really don't think I could get up at whatever time(depending where we are in the Atlantic) to try and do it down in the internet area on DCL slow rate!!!!! I would only want a couple of Palo ressies I think.

I just checked the Navigator for the Med cruise and the sail away party was at 10:00 PM. We were still at dinner at that time and the dining room was pretty full still when we left.

Does anybody know if Disneynut64 is still cruising with us? She is about my age and from Lakeland, FL. Lakeland is not that big so I thought it would be fun to meet beforehand, if we haven't met already!

Good idea. I would like to meet also. :goodvibes

Just had to share - yesterday was a MAGICAL mail day as I am calling it - the only mail I had was 3 pieces from Disney Cruise - one saying welcome home - glad you sailed with us - the other 2 welcoming us for our 3 and 4 day B2B dream cruises!

wish every mail day was that way!

Krisann

I forget how many of you are staying at WDW after the cruise, but if you are here on Saturday, the 9th of October, Animal Kingdom is having a scavenger Hunt. This is the second year, Mouse Planet is hosting it and our second year doing it. If you want to look it up or check it out, here is the link:

http://www.mouseplanet.com/mouseadventure/event_info.php

It was a lot of fun, but I forget how much it costs. It takes up the whole day.

Oh thanks for the link! This looks cool but we leave on the 8th

Krisann - thanks for the swabs - appreciate that!

YEAH! Sue, thanks for telling us about Stephen's win - sounds like you had a great night.

Lynne - thanks for the throat sweeties - I LOVE the name and I am sure they will be great. Hopefully no one will know though because they will not be used.

I also don't think they are going to have an all-out sail-away party because of the time. I could be wrong and when Hadley gets back, I will ask.

I was getting so nervous re the FE's because so many of you know what you are doing & have either gotten everything or ordered what you need. But today was a good day. I made decision:idea: and can't wait to get started. Also ordered the Euros today & they should be in tomorrow.:cool1:

Hope everyone with flight problems get things worked out soon. We booked through DCL so are still waiting to hear what our route will be.

Good luck to everyone:hug:

Congrats!

Hello all....what time do we actually sail from Barcelona. The itinerary says onboard 4:00....but I am curious what time we actually sail away. I wonder if it is late will they have the fireworks like they had when the Magic returned.
Tom

On the WBTA in 2007 we didn't have any on the EBTA we did in 2007 so I doubt we will have any to be honest.

Original departure time was 9pm and I'm hoping the 4pm is due to the Lifeboat drill as last time (in 07) about 10 families were still being called for after LBD as they hadn't turned up

I am just closing out the Medicine List for Sarah to put in her Navigator and wanted to list the thingss that no one has claimed to find out if someone would like to bring it or if we don't think it is that important. Just let me know. The list is:

Throat Lozenges (Halls, etc)
Pepto
Alcohol Swabs

That is it! I think we have everything else taken care of. Let me know what you think so I can get it to Sarah by tomorrow. She is probably already frustrated with me because I told her I would e-mail it on Monday. Sorry Sarah:worship:

Don't worry Sandi I don't mind! No rush honest!

Well done !!! Congratulations to Stephen and his team :woohoo:

As long as they don't do the Atrium sailaway like in 2007! That was rubbish!

Hey everyone

Just some random thoughts:

If they do sail away during 2nd seating dinner, I will skip the sit down dinner and just grab something from deck 9.

I have lost 6lbs since I posted about trying to lose weight! Very happy! Just 139 more to go.

Anyone watch Biggest Loser last night? Amazing results!

We went to my niece's last high school choral concert last night. She graduates this year. While the kids did a great job, I think that Glee has spoiled it for me!

Is there a place in Gilbaltar that has true English fish and chips? I really want to try them. Not sure why though....

Does DCL buy back the Euros if we have left overs since we won' need them after this cruise?

We are staying at Avenida Palace in Barcelona and arriving on the 16th. Please add us to the list. Thanks

I think that's all for now
Annette :)
