A couple of questions?

1. Has anyone booked their transportation from the port to the airport yet?

2. Has anyone ever been to Tortola? I was looking at shore excursions last night and am having a difficult time trying to decide what to do. I was hoping for a suggestion.

We went to Tortola on the Magic last year. It is a beautiful island, and the locals are really lovely and friendly. We did the Tortola by land and sea. I think it was about 4 hours. You do a good island tour by those open bus things, then meet up with a boat and ride back. It was a really good trip with great information. Some went to the baths at Virgin Gorda, either on a DCL trip or on their own. Other than that I can't remember the other excursions. I'm sure if you do a search on here some trip reports from last year will come up.

Hey everyone! OK, so I'm really getting down to the business of finishing up my draft of the list of folks who have asked for lanyards so far. Right now we are at 220 people who have asked for lanyards so far!!

Thanks Erik for doing this Herculean task. It is really appreciated.....:thumbsup2

As for the dining/dressing both DW hotfudgesundae and I are looking forward to this, we dont often get the chance to dress up to the nines , I have even bought a tux :scared: and Trish has two or three evening dresses so we may need to take two bags each :scared1:

We are taking 2 bags each, though I doubt I will actually have evening dresses - more like a couple of dressier things. I would have just once in my life dressed up to the nines, but I really am not a formal dress type of person. I do try though.:lmao: John will be taking a suit, though he might rent a tux yet, He did so for the Panama Canal cruise and I thought he looked sooooo good!!! We are flying BA to Barcelona and paid for the extra 2 bags.

Oh read on one of the blogs there is a character breakfast and they are doing desperate shipmaates again!

Sarah - can you PM or post the blog address? The one I was following stopped the day they left for WDW...

Thanks!
Sue

I always think of slacks as casual trousers, and I see loads of under 70's in them!!! You're going to be in trouble!!!:lmao:

Well, Dennis is barely under 70. :lmao: However, he has been wearing slacks, or casual trousers since our early years. In fact.....He posted a photo on facebook from 1969 and his pants and blue polo were exactly like some he has today! :rotfl::lmao: I guess I should have updated that man at some point, but I like him just like he is. :goodvibes:lovestruc

LOL OK not in South Wales! Most I've seen is combats.

Ok, language barrier here, what are combats.

Decided i needed a little treat to tide me over till the cruise,

Sorry for the late reply to the post about the martini and tequila tastings. We've been out of town and I just went through 20+ pages. Please put us down for both martini and tequila tastings. Betty and Armando (2)

From the Disney Cruise Line web site:

formal wear for men: tuxedo or suit; for women: gown or dress

semi-formal wear for men: suit/jacket; for women: dress or pantsuit

Those are just recommendations and are in no way enforced. As long as you don't show up in shorts and tank tops, you are good. On our first cruise we had a family sitting on the next table over in jeans and denim jackets on formal night and nobody raised as much as an eyebrow. I have heard servers advise people to come however they are comfortable when the said that they would not attend dinner on formal night as they don't want to dress up.

Here is the link to the active blog.

Thanks for posting this. I will have a read tonight.

Good plan! They can sit on the sulking table while we dress up lol! He's already said hes happy to eat in the room if I think he will embaress me - which I don't think at all!

Oh, how cute! I'm sure there will be a real mix of people on board, And there will always be someone else who looks worse or less dressed up, I hope! :lmao:
BTW, I got your HRC guitar pin today. Will pop it in your FE. :thumbsup2

That's how I got hooked on the Dis! WinoTracy was the "troublemaker":lmao:

Ann:thumbsup2

WinoTracy sounds like trouble! :rotfl2:

I would love to do laundry with people I know... Last time I was in there I got to the back of the room and people wouldn't move to let me out - even when I was done. I kept saying excuse me - and they were too busy chatting to listen or heaven forbid just MOVE!

Not to mention that if you have a buddies in the laundry room - you can tag team and not have to spen d the whole time in there...

Where are the laundry rooms, BTW? I know there is one on 6 - is there one on 7 or 8?

Oh, that doesn't sound very pleasant. It's probably not something we could plan in advance? Unless, we just plan 1 at the 7-8 day mark? Are we still having the whiteboard with our DIS messages? We could leave message if we going to the laundry?:thumbsup2 I have no idea where the laundry is???

Maybe he'll be one of guest speakers on the WBTA.

Then we'll all be to scared to leave our staterooms.

SW

I'd love to be GOKed, I'd deliberately dress bad so he give me the GOK treatment!

Decided i needed a little treat to tide me over till the cruise,

So just booked 4 days in Disneyland Paris.

I AM SO JEALOUS! :goodvibes Good for you, Have fun! Is it just me or is the music too quiet in Space mountain, compared to WDW and Disneyland CA?
