No, I will bet how many legs are broken, sorry to be a kill joy.
But it is a great sport, its just with working in a horse vets for so long I have seen it first hand.
I do feel bad being a kill joy but I cant help it.
But I do think folk should bet and enjoy it, just no me.:)

Orly is his own worst enemy but he is fine Len reports, ta for asking.

Don't worry Lynne! This is the only bet I make all year and I never watch it because I hate horse racing because of the amount of injuries! Its become tradition to place a bet though so I do (silly really isn't it?)

Glad he's doing OK! Send him a hug from me!

So I am stuck at work, I have 3 hours of, Ive been for a run(clever me) now Len has now dispatched me to the shops to find disney jammies for breakfats.

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited.

What is your schedule for your weekends Lynne? Do you go for the whole time apart from a few hours off?

I just can't watch it at all. They breed the horses to have such fine slender legs, and then they break them!!!:confused3 It's beyond me. However the horses do look beautiful and it must be a great day out.

Ive done a few of these over the years.

The Backstage Safari is great! Did Backstage Magic as a child and was also fab! Dolphins in Depth I had a ball on, and you get to go in the tank in the Living Seas. Sunrise Safari is good but I think you need to be an Animal Kingdom Lodge Conceirge guest or did when I did it.

If you want a brilliant Magic Kingdom Tour - Keys to the Kingdom is fantastic value! I loved it! Lunch is included for $65 at Columbia Harbour House!

If you have kids, the Family Magic Tour is like a scavenger hunt around Magic Kingdom. If you don't have kids (me my sister and her hubby did this) you feel a bit stupid as you have to do things like crawl across the floor in Cosmic Rays lol!

If you are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge then the Wayama Safari was so amazing! I loved it!

We meant to do the Keys to the Kingdom Tour this last trip but just didn't get round to it!!! I think we got too lazy.:rotfl2: We have done both of the Segway Tours and can recommend those. We might do the Epcot one again.

OK so as we haven't seen CruzDirectorKaren over here for awhile I thought I would volunteer again to do a mini navigator for the cruise if people would like it? It would be sent out before the cruise so people could print a copy themselves and bring it onboard (mainly because of limits with luggage it worked out the best way to do it on the WBTA last time). If people dont have printing facilities I can bring a few spares too.

If people are happy with this Ill get to work? If people have any special dates (birthdays or anniversaries etc) that they would like noted in the navigator let me know and I can add these in.

Also can someone send me the details of the premeet/s that have been organised in Barcelona so I can add these too?

Gizzmo,

Please could you add our 19th anniversary which is on the 28th Sep which should be St Maarten, no doubt I will be dragged into Diamonds Int for something.

Great place to spend an anniversary!!! I could drag my husband in there as much as I want, but I would still come out empty handed - or is that empty fingered!!!!!:lmao:

Hi Corinna
Where will you be watching it ? Is there a webcam link? Also what time is the best time to watch it. I remember watching the Magic in the Panama Canal on the webcam and it was amazing.

There is two I tend to use. I start of with this to see the ships in port:

http://www.opusad.com/radissonwebcam/

This is also great:

http://www.cocoabeachnow.com/WebCams/Port/

There are other webcams on this site as well where you can see the ship once it has left the port. I can never remember which one it is, but you can find it by just experimenting.

I have never tried this one, but it is very popular for seeing the ship once it has left the port:

Will do! - and in face have done

Just noticed on the website you asked about Lanyards and Secrete Mickey. Not sure if anyone has answered that yet but:

Lanyards - Basically the idea is that all those on the Dis have a lanyard that is specific for the cruise to carry your Key to the World key around in. It means that other Disers can identify you. These are supplied for free by the Lanyard team (who are wonderful!) and if you want to sign up to one I think there was a post a few pages back (205 I think) from Eric about it. Also I'm sure if anyone would like to donate to the Lanyard team Eric would be happy to accept so contact him.

Secrete Mickey - Is like Secrete Santa. Sarah (TotallyAngelic) is arranging this. Basically you get given someone who has signed up to buy a present for. Someone else gets you. Part of the sign up process involves asking about collections etc so you get something based on their tastes and then deliver it to them on the cruise. The idea is you don't tell them who its off until after they recieve the gift.

WOHOWOWOWOWOW!

By the Way The Magic will be starting out over the pond later today

Still, that is a long weekend of work! I suppose your work load depends on how sick your little inmates actually are.

It must be just me, But It's telling me the Photo bucket account is down? I can't see the list's, and I have been soooo excited to get them! Not very many kids :confused3 I love doing kids gifts, what a pity!

Definitely, maybe we should all edit our roll call details to add kids ages, then we can look them up for ourselves?

I will have to check on my photo bucket. I did delete the old lists and out up new ones, so that could be the issue.

I was hoping for more kids, but I think that 2 weeks out of school is too much for many. We are lucky, our kids get a fall break and that is one of the weeks.

I have most of the kids ages and can add them to the groups.

I will update and post all new lists tomorrow. I have to finish grouting a kitchen back splash today...

Sue

And Yay, I have a few more kids!!!!!
Don't get me wrong, It's still fun for the adults, but I just know when my kids come back to the room and find something in thier FE they will be so excitied, A kids excitement is different to an adults, It's contagious!
Although it does sound like me have a few overgrown kids on our cruise too!:rotfl2:

Somebody asked the question on the other Board about kids, so out of curiosity I counted the ones on our roll call:

"Overgrown" Kids - 185
1 yo - 2
2 yo - 1
3 yo - 6
4 yo - 2
5 yo - 3
6 yo - 3
7 yo - 6
8 yo - 1
9 yo - 3
10 yo - 1
11 yo - 0
12 yo - 3
13 yo - 3
14 yo - 1
15 yo - 1
16 yo - 2

We've been having the gas company around the neighborhood the past 2 days working on replacing a few of the gas lines (today ours was included). We're also in the process of cleaning the house and have, once again, a dumpster in our driveway.

During one of our many trips outside to dump more "stuff" one of the gas guys (why are they getting so young?????) came over and just sort of started chatting for a bit. He noticed our license plate and asked if we were heading out to Club 33 anytime soon (Marc's plate is KLB33; mine in KLUB33). He mentioned that he had been once in the past as his father-in-law was a Disney Imagineer. Our ears perked up at that point and asked what FIL had worked on. Turns out he was involved with quite a bit but his biggest claim as an Imagineer - the ride design for Soarin' over California (or just Soarin' to you WDW-only fans!). His father-in-law is Mark Sumner, the Imagineer who took an old-fashioned erector set and figured out how to save S.O.C from the trash pile!

We had a great time chatting with this guy and realize, once again, that the world is just getting smaller. We now have a 6th Degree of Separation moment for a Disney attraction!

It certainly is a small world.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Its a lovely spring day here. We have just got in from buying our Grandson his first pair of shoes:) Now he will be walking all over the garden :cool1:

Oh, great news about the flights!!!!

Josh is growing fast isn't he?

How is the bathroon coming along Marilyn?

Well, he has decided to cut round the washbasin pedestal after all rather than lay the flooring underneath. Seems they used a special superglue to help keep the basin on the wall!!!!!!

We fly back on 9th into Manchester, never flown Aerlingus before but it was half the price of Virgin or BA :confused3

What date are you returning home?

I dont envy you the mess Marilyn.

I'm just enjoying a bit of peace as the new shoes have worn Josh out so he is having a sleep and Granda seems to be keeping him company ;)

Dawn, I don't think I have ever lived anywhere that wasn't either waiting for some DIY to be done or in the process of it being done!! The house just felt all clean(ish) after a good midweek clean ready for our son and DIL's visit, and now here we go again!!!:lmao:
