Ok, this will sound weird... But... Do any of you EU folks shop at ASDA? They are one of our customers and people from the states that have gone to our Stokenchurch office rave about them. They are the UK counterpart of Walmart. I am curious what there is to rave about and if I need to try and find one on the trip.

Funny, I am interested in seeing their stores (we do their warehouse management and labour) and have no desire to meet with the PepsiCo people that are in Barcelona... Of course, If I can turn part of the trip into business I think I can get a rebate on my airfare and hotel... Hmmm.... MIGHT be worth considering...

I love ASDA. The prices are pretty good and I find the food is a notch above the likes of Tesco or Morrison. However, they do not even come close to Walmart in the USA.

Just popped in to try to catch up on all the great topics of conversation all you lovely people have had going past few weeks!

I can't keep up with you all at the moment, because of busy scehdules, but I am still with everyone, albeit a few steps behind.

Some great ideas for the cruise, can't believe how organised everyone is!

Tomorrow we are off to Kuala Lumpur and Borneo for a long planned for trip. See you when we get back!

That is my birthday too! Actually, that is my birthday, my twin's birthday as well as my mom's birthday too!

My mum (Elizabeth) and I want to join the ladies for lunch in Parrot Cay and then for Tea in Palos, we're in a GTY Cat 6 so don't have a room number but are happy to include our room in the tour.

We arrive in Barcelona on the Friday and would like to meet up for drinks too!

Haven't ever tried the Take5 or the Heath bars when I have been in the USA ..... but I love the Reese's peanut butter cups ( as I am sure I have previously mentioned many times ) , the nutrageous bar, and there is a round chocolate disc with a peppermint filling which is really nice ...don't know what this is called though. It comes in a blue and silver packet I think. My kids love the Hersheys cookies and cream chocolate bar, and I will have to pick up some of those for them when we are out there.

Haven't ever tried the Take5 or the Heath bars when I have been in the USA ..... but I love the Reese's peanut butter cups ( as I am sure I have previously mentioned many times ) , the nutrageous bar, and there is a round chocolate disc with a peppermint filling which is really nice ...don't know what this is called though. It comes in a blue and silver packet I think. My kids love the Hersheys cookies and cream chocolate bar, and I will have to pick up some of those for them when we are out there.

Those would be York Peppermint Patties.

LOL - Aldi and Tesco are customers too... There is no escaping it... I have to agree about Walmart. I love the values I can get, but finding what I want is a nightmare.

You just have to go more often and stay longer to get the lay of the land!!

Okay, I am officially booked for a hotel! I will be arriving on 9/16 and spending two nights at the Hotel Regina Barcelona. Fabulous location and only 120 Euros a night! http://www.reginahotel.com/location-hotel-regina-barcelona.en.html
They seem to have good reviews on Trip Advisor, and the price was definitely right!

Well done on booking your hotel. We stayed onsite for the first time after our first two cruises. Be warned, you are unlikely to go back to staying offsite. For us our first onsite experience was Old Key West which is very close to Port Orleans. Since then we have stayed there a second time, plus we also stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge. This time round we are staying at Bay Lake Tower.

Thanks to everyone for the welcome! We are staying at the Marriott Airport beforehand. We had points so our night is free. Has anyone planned or thought about excursions yet? Since we have little ones just trying to see what we can do with them.
