Hi Corinna

We live in Cheadle Hulme. I work in the centre of Manchester! If you drive out I bet we pass daily on the A34!!:rotfl2:

We're flying out of Manchester on the Friday with Monarch at about 8am are you on the same flight? We're staying at a hotel called Reding near one of the universities. :confused3 where abouts are you staying?

Sarah

Okay, today I was really bad!!!! I have been doing pretty well with my eating and trying to lose weight....not so good with exercise, but that is another story. I have lost 30lbs with 30 left to go......and today, what did I do...went to Pizza Hut and ate 3 slices of pizza!!!!:scared1: I cannot believe it....well, I can, but still. I know better and am sure my belly will fight with me later, but it did taste good. Okay, just had to vent! Now, back on the "eating right" wagon.:cloud9: I really want to hit my goal by May!

One bad meal, shouldn't spoil your diet.

Two more at Boardwalk, we have a 1 bed standard view for 3 nights.
Ann

We're at BLT for two nights after the cruise and then move over to BWV for a couple more nights.

I did not actually fly for the first time until I was 18 and that was fairly eventless. However, I grew up near a big international airport and spent many happy hours with my dad when I was a child watching the planes from the viewing gallery.
In 2006 I had a complete change of career. I am an elementary school teacher, but left teaching in the summer of 2005 and tried to make up my mind what I wanted to do next. I ended up applying for a job with an airline and got it. I really love my job and have progressed well. I was so scared to tell my mum though. However, her reaction was that it was about time that I did something that I feel really passionate about.

I was lucky enough to fly on the A380 on New Year's Day from Dubai to London. This aircraft is really fascinating. I have posted a few photos in my trip report.

Corinna

Fantastic trip report Corinna! really enjoyed it! We haven't yet been to dubai, but sue will at some stage.
When we flew from LHR last year, our 747 was parked next to a A380. My husband was drooling...I was just..well in awe! I didnt anticipate it being that big! I booked 2 return flights to KL via Singapore when Singapore Airlines had a sale..and never gave it a thought we might actually be on the A380! you can imagine DH's thrill when he found out
What a great job you have!
Lyn

Yes!!! We just booked two addtional nights at BWV (4th and 5th). I checked BLT and the first 2 nights of the stay weren't available so we're just gonna stick with BWV. We could do a split stay but moving after 2 days just isn't my idea of a fun time!

We'll take the bus or monorail over to MK for the MNSSHP event the first night and then revel in EPCOT thereafter!

Now.....does one do the dining plan or not? I'm thinking not this time around. There's just gonna be sooooooooooo much food while onboard. We may be down to dry toast for breakfast, watery broth for lunch, and a piece of fruit for dinner once we hit dry land!

Michael

So is the MNSSHP on the 4th? Must rember to check that out and book!
We are staying at Saratoga for a week post cruise, and the MNSSHP is def on our list.
Anyone else at SS? I know its not always top of people's lists, but we got a great deal for it. And I like being near to Downtown, so easy to visit other resorts for dinner, using Disney transport. We will likely hire a car from Port to Disney..as we will take the opportunity to visit Walmart etc But we havent really decided.
We do have the Dining Plan, lucky it was a special UK offer of "free dining" we booked ages ago. Mainly because there are several Signature Restaurants that I am longing to try. So we will be blowing our credits on dinner!

We like SS quite alot. We also love OKW, but wanted to be near EPCOT this trip, so BCV. Are you paying cash for SS? We have never had an offer for free dining using DVC points. It would be really nice though!

The UK has a great free dining offer on for the period mid August to sometime in October I think. It included SSR and OKW. I looked into it, but it works out quite a bit more expensive for us as you have to get park tickets for the whole period you are there as part of the package, and we have AP's. The tickets have to be used this year, or we might have doe it to use the tickets when our AP's run out. It really is a fantastic deal if you are a family squeezing into the accommodation and need tickets though.

BWV is obviously THE place to be!!!!! It will be great seeing fellow cruisers after the cruise.:cool1:

Will BWV be the new Grand California, post WBPC? I think I saw a cruiser from the dis around every corner at that hotel in May 2008. :goodvibes

Well, the numbers there do seem to be rising!!!

:lmao:We were everywhere, weren't we? :rotfl:

Haha, we really were everywhere. It was fantastic to experience that after such a cruise and not feel like everything had just finished and we never saw anyone again.

I'm hoping this one will be the same and that we will just keep seeing those wonderful, smiling faces everywhere. WDW will be a bit different with 4 parks to choose from. Perhaps not running into each other so often as at DL.

I'm sorry, I'm not trying to interrupt your train of thought, but DH just asked me if we need any visas for this cruise.:confused3

I said I didn't know, but I was sure someone here would probably have the answer.

Thank you, and now back to our regular scheduled programming.

:cutie:

I looked on the State Dept website and visas are not needed

Okay, hope this is okay, but I wanted to post a Question for the Day: What are your FAVORITE CRUISE DRINKS???
Mine include: Bon Voyage, BBC (DH's favorite), and the Mocha with Bailey's in the Cove Cafe

Drink of the Day - especially when it is 2 for 1! I bring my own wine on board to have with dinner each night. Otherwise I am always down for a cider, but only can get that in the Pub.

Hopefully in 2011 we can also bring my Mum .... well I say hopefully but it's a bittersweet situation really. Mum will only travel if we look after her dog, who is a 14 year old golden retriever. She will NOT leave the dog with anyone else. So the only way we will all travel together is when the dog is no longer with us. That said it will be very sad when that happens as the dog has been my Mum's focus and priority since Dad passed away, and I'm sure it will have a massive negative impact on Mum when the dog passes. The only up side is she will be able to come with us on family holidays.

Sorry about another sad post ..... I promise to be upbeat and positive for the rest of the evening .....

I totally understand, I was dreading what I was going to do with my cat on this vacation. He was 12 and was quite sick - so was thinking I was going to need a friend to house sit for a month. Sadly, but I guess for the best I had to put him down right before the New Year.

Okay, today I was really bad!!!! I have been doing pretty well with my eating and trying to lose weight....not so good with exercise, but that is another story. AWESOME! How are you doing it? I have been trying for 3 years and just stuck where I am. I would love to lose 20 before the trip - still trying.

Wow - finally caught up. Work has been a killer, been here since 8 am and it is 10:30. I am waiting on final comments on a letter and then I can go home, only to be back at 8 am tomorrow. UGH!

Good news is that tomorrow is my 6 month mark till I depart for vacation. I keep reminding myself of my vacation to get me through this crazy time at work the last month or so.

We will be at SSR for 4 nights after the cruise. We also love the location :thumbsup2
We may not do any of the parks this year but once we get there we will probably change our minds :rolleyes1.

Yes. It was a great deal for us, even though there are only 2 of us. we did some careful sums...but it still worked out ok. We dont have DVC, so pay cash.
Our APs had expired, and we don't plan to do WDW next year, (thinking DL instead for a change) so needed passes anyway.
We wanted to stay on site again, (had an off site Villa last year) and in Uk, were are limited to what we could get an offer price for. We stayed POFQ 2008, and wasnt too fussed over it...felt it had declined since the previous time we were there. Altho i think we might have had a bad week...lts of loud teenagers..So SS seemed the right option for us!
I would love to have stayed in Yacht/Beach club as that area of WDW is one of my favourites on the evenings.. We will most certainly be visiting the Boardwalk though..and Beaches and Cream!
