I didn't know you were staying just one night. That would probably not make sense. Although for $43 you could eat several very good meals. :thumbsup2 Not that you should be hungry after all the cruise food!

Yesterday was the day it seems for DVC. We wanted studio conceirge at AKL but no availability. Nothing at bLT or BCV either for a studio. So we are booked at SSR which we have stayed at before and loved (I know it gets mixed feelings) and waitlisted for AKL.

Apart from car we are about sorted now i think.

198 days andd counting

OOoooo 2 Formals! I can live with that very happy :cool1: I loves dressing up! ...BUT! slinks off to inspect dresses that actually might still fit :blush::scared1:

I have at least a stone to lose before the cruise if my formal dress is to fit .... plus with 2 formals looks like I might have to buy a new one too :goodvibes When is it we find out how many formals / semi formals we will be having and which nights they will be on. I can't remember if that info comes before the cruise or if you don't find out until you get to your stateroom.

We did our volunteer work tonight for the Give a Day Get a Day promotion and we had a wonderful time. We sorted books to be sold to help run the only privately run National Park in the country. It is a colonial farm right outside DC. It felt good working next to preteen kids that were truely working and not complaining. The little girl working at my table kept telling us to give her more books to sort so she could earn her ticket or her Mom and Dad would not take her.

We are going to continue volunteering with them because it is a good cause and we had a wonderful time. The hard part was seeing all the books and not being able to browse through them. We will do that at the book sale.

Well done .... a great scheme. :goodvibes

Need to go to - Disneycruise.info website and the Navigators for 2008 are there.

Looks like we can't post links any more.

I don't think it likes that site over here! I've tried posting to it on another thread before with no luck

By the time the 2nd formal rolled around, though, people were so comfy on the ship that they showed up to dinner in sweatshirts. I found that refreshing. It felt like home.

Makes me think theyll just do 2 semis like on the 1st TA and 1 formal this time but who knows. Well be able to guess more once the EBTA comes along

I managed to get the savannah view studio i wanted at AKL and i'm waitlisted for club...

i guess the next BIG date to look forward to is those WDW ADR's (or am i missing something?)

That's fabulous. The agency I work for is registered for the Give/Get a Day promotion and every year Jason and I do my agency's annual AIDS Walk raising money, walking and then also volunteering before and after the event....so Jason is going to get credit for that. I can't get credit for it because I work for the organization, but I am also a volunteer facilitator for an LGBT Youth Group here in Rochester that's held at an agency which is also registered so I'm planning to get credit for my work there. We aren't even sure we'll use the free passes, but we figured we'd give it a shot. We decided not to renew our AP's this year because we wouldn't get as much use out of them. We are planning to be in Orlando for 4 days the weekend before we fly to Barcelona before our B2B trips. We are staying at Beach Club Villas for those days, but our plan at this point is to do the NON-Disney parks (Universal, IoA----with the newly opened Harry Potter themed area, Sea World and Aquatica). So we aren't sure we're planning on any time in Disney parks (even though we're staying on property) but we figure if we have the free passes and even want to spend just part of the day at a park..or go in to eat..then we can do that.

Glenn may be in Boca for a couple of weeks for job training. If that pans out and it is over either spring or summer break I was thinking of taking the kids for a long weekend. I really want to see the Harry Potter area! I am pretty sure that we would do a day at MK as well - I want to see Space Mountain post refurb, and possibly EPCOT or Hollywood... I will leave that up to them as I will be forcing Universal on them...

196 days until we land in Barcelona... 199 until we sail... Hard to fathom that I am trying to get time at WDW before that... :)

Space Mountain post refurb is nothing to plan a trip around, sadly :lmao: It's not awful...but it's nowhere near as dramatic a refurb/redesign as one might have hoped.

I know it's heresy to be in Orlando on WDW (resort) property and not even go to the parks....but we haven't been to a NON-Disney park in over 4 years and so we figured this was our time....and it will make us appreciate the Disney Magic more the next time we're there in fall of 2011 (we'll be at DL in California in spring of 2011...so we won't have to wait a full year for ANY kind of disney fix! :lmao:)

How awful that Space Mountain isn't all that (and more)! I We did all of the parks 2 years ago, including MNSSHP one night. It was an exhausting 9 days including the drive from Atlanta.

We lived in Clearwater the year that AK opened. We had our resident passes, and that spoiled me. I wish I had the vacation time to just go to WDW at the drop of a hat as we could then. It is hard to not just go!

Okay, today I was really bad!!!! I have been doing pretty well with my eating and trying to lose weight....not so good with exercise, but that is another story. I have lost 30lbs with 30 left to go......and today, what did I do...went to Pizza Hut and ate 3 slices of pizza!!!!:scared1: I cannot believe it....well, I can, but still. I know better and am sure my belly will fight with me later, but it did taste good. Okay, just had to vent! Now, back on the "eating right" wagon.:cloud9: I really want to hit my goal by May!

OH, stay on the bandwagon. You are doing terrific. I'm in the same boat (but haven't even lost the FIRST 30 #). One bad day does not ruin a great diet. Just start over again tomorrow. You can do it and it will be so worth it!! (these are the same things I keep telling myself, too . . .LOL). You can do it!

This has probably been mentioned before, but I was wondering what everyone plans to do with their time in Barcelona? Other than recovering from the jet lag, of course. :lmao: I'm trying to decide what I'd like to do with my day there, as I'm not so much a museum person.

I got BWV pool/garden view for the night we arrive in FL, checked off another DVC resort, just two more to go until Hawaii is possibly added, then three. I am happy, might even give Jelly rolls another try, it all depends on what parade is at MK, lol.:hippie:

Kamy, keep going girl, its not bad just a day off plan.

:cool2:iPhone/iPod Touch users found another(?) great app, or one that has been mentioned but is on sale right now. Packer pro or the simpler version Packer (+ ToDo). Loving it so far.

Congrats on the BWV ressie. I'm calling tomorrow morning to hopefully extend our BWV standard one-bedroom for 2 more days. If that doesn't work I'm going to try and see if a standard view at BLT is available for all 4 days. Gotta use those points, right? That's how I'm seeing it right now!!!!

Now, if they'd only get the MNSSHP dates out.....will we be able to make one of the nights?? I've heard it's a great time.

I loved the chocolate factory excursion that was offered - so I want to recreate it! I found a place that does the meuseum tour but also offers the hands on stuff, but just for the kids. It will be fiun to watch them play and make stuff. They have 3 or 4 choices - but the ones that Becca can do top out at 12. Stephen will have to lie a bit to do a little kid one...

Outside of this, I want to see the Goudy Catherdral for sure, and then have very few plans. I work with someone that is from the greater Barcelona area and he said he would make me a list of must sees. He will probably come up with a huge list that can't be done in 2 days, but we shall see. I do know that the aquarium is on the list - not sure of the zoo, or Olympic park.
