I could easily spend all day in Panera bread! Wish we had that over here! Definately miss it from when I lived in Florida!

Did you ever eat at Steak & Shake? I really miss those. We don't have those in PA...but this past summer I ate at one in IL and I was happy as a clam! It brought back such wonderful memories from WDW.

Did you live at the Commons?

Steak and Shake is really good! We have them here. I dont go though, still trying to lose weight and it is not diet friendly! LOL!! I just want a shake and some of those awesome fries!!:goodvibes

It is supposed to get up into the 40's here by the end of the week. People are all excited, talking spring time! LOL!! 40's is a welcome change, but not warm enough for me....it isnt even the temps...it is the gray, muddy, slushy, dormant stuff here that I hate.....Someday I will be so happy to again be a Florida resident!;)

DH is finally ready to start looking at flights....not ready to buy, but to look. At least that is something! LOL!:cutie:

Hi Sue ... sorry to hear about your son's broken foot  Wishing him well for a good recovery. Happy Birthday to your daughter :cheer2:

Good luck with your scrapbook ... I still haven't started my 2008 cruise. I know once I start I will be fine but it is getting started that is the difficult bit, especially as I am bit of a beginner and this is my first attempt at doing one. Does anyone know what exactly you swap on a scrapbook swap? Is it just materials or completed pages or what ?

Hi Sarah,

We have to take Stephen to a surgeon  on Wednesday to ge the scoop... But he was able to celebrate with a nice fondue dinner tonight, so he is happy as is Becca (who is officially 6 going on 16...)!

Not sure how the scrapping swap will work - just thought it would prod me to get started... I found a sale on photo prints so I ordered about 300 to do various books. I have 6 (yes really) sitting and waiting on the photos. I have the ideas in my head (scary), just need to get them on paper... Good luck on getting your 2008 book done! My 6 are 2 family books (2008 WDW and 2009 DCL) and then one for each trip for each kiddo. It is very daunting at times.

I have done the DCL bus to WDW several times, we have waited as little as 5 minutes and as many as 30 minutes before leaving the DCL terminal. Luggage is pulled from the lower level of the terminal with you as you go through customs and is loaded within minutes of getting to/on the bus you are assigned to. We have recently always use the services of a porter and we skim right through customs.

Thanks, that's what I wanted to hear, I should have known Disney would have it all under control and organised! :goodvibes

Oh yes I loved Steak & Shake mmmm Strawberry Milkshakes

I did stay in the commons. It was a great location although meant I went shopping more than usual

Phew, almost forgot!!! 7 month booking window for DVC today for our after cruise arrival date. Couldn't get a studio at BCV, understandably though was hopeful, so went with the BWV, so at least we have managed the area we fancied. We could have had a 1 bedroomed, but don't have the points for that. With the bad parking at BWV we might do without a car and save some pennies, but we will see.

Had heavy rain overnight here in Orlando and now cloudy with sunny spells, and a bit windy. It is going to get colder again for a few days, then back up to 70 deg, hopefully for a while this time!!

Lazy day, but having a meet at DTD with some of our 2008 WB Panama Canal cruisers this evening.:dance3:

Have a lovely time this evening at DTD ... where are you eating? Wish we were there!

Well we are meeting at Earl of Sandwich, but not sure we will eat there, we will see. There aren't many of us going to be there, but great to get together again.

They are yummy but not diet friendly or sure! Though I have to admit that when I was on vacation (when I ate at Steak & Shake), I ended up losing 3 pounds! I don't know how that happened!

OMG, shopping! During my first program, my friend lived at the Commons and I lived at Vista. I would take the bus to the Commons and we'd walk over to the outlet mall for dinner and shopping! My second program I lived at Chatham which I loved! The only thing it was missing was the washer and dryer! LOL!!!!

HI everyone .... over dinner this evening Tony and I were discussing how we are going to decide which evening to book Palo when we won't know which evening other events are happening ie. Pirate night, Formal night etc. Does anyone from the last WBTA remember what nights these were held on (obviously that does not mean they will stick to the same sequence). I imagine Pirate night will be at the end of the cruise .... when we are in the Caribbean. Mind you, being silver, we might actually not have much choice of date, so we will just get what we can in the end :rotfl:

I think I have decided upon one of my Fish Extender gifts .... mainly one for the ladies though .... it's gifts for the men that I really struggle with :confused3:confused3

I am interested in this too.

I imagine the first sea day (Sept 19) will be a formal night.

I'm with you! I've looked at some of the navigators from the last WBTA but don't know if DCL will change the dates. I'm also silver and will be happy just to get into Palo. :rotfl2:

LOL its always a bonus! Loved the locations! Never got to visit any of the other ones other than on the random bus routes occassionally. We had Americans in our house with us which was great fun

I think the WBTA nights are likely to change around a bit! I would say that formal night is likely to be near the middle of the cruise but other than that Im not sure.

As for choice of date - Ive been told by a semi-reliable source on here previously that they open a set number of ressies on each date so they do not release all the good dates at once.

Also the formal/semi nights altered when we got on board compared to what DCL had told us about

Woody

Maybe. I know on the last TA though they were on

Sea day one - night 3 -> Formal
Sea day three - night 8 -> Semi-formal
Sea day seven - night 12 -> Pirate
Sea day eight - night 13 -> Formal - although originally DCL had said 2 semi and 1 formal night so very confusing

On the EBTA it was one semi in the middle.

I wouldn't be surprised if they swap the first and 2nd formals over so 1st sea day (night 2) is semi and 3rd sea day (night 6) or even to night 7.
