Had a great week away, bit stressed to be back at work and so so busy! and tax man has been stressing me out, change my tax code:confused3:confused3not good and so unhelpfull when I call. I am going to be poor if theve not made a mistake:headache::headache:

Welcome home Lynne :goodvibes Sorry to hear you come home to a tax headache though ... hope you get that sorted as soon as possible

I officially went to the social security office today and changed my name to my married last name! So that is one thing down, about 10 more to go!

It's warming up in PA - the snow is almost completely melted. Kind of makes me sad since I love snow. It's supposed to be in the 50's all week so that is at least pleasant.

Hope all is well with everyone! :)

Congratulations on being "official" Amy :goodvibes

Weather here is improving at the moment ... we have cold but sunny days and even though it is still frosty and sub-zero at night, the daytime sunshine makes it bearable. I am so looking forward to moving into British Summer Time in a couple of weeks .... lighter evenings :woohoo::woohoo:

Hello - I just wanted to pop in and say hello - as we will be joining you on this cruise! I do not have time to read everything yet as we are also on the EB TA so I need to finish getting ready for that. We will officially book when we are on board on for the EBTA so we can reap the benefits of booking on board :)

Krisann

Welcome aboard Krisann and family. You lucky things to be doing both transatlantic cruises :cloud9: Hope you have a wonderful time on the EB :goodvibes

Have not posted in a long time - but just wanted to say have a Wonderful time. We have to cancel - family obligations. We were going btb - 24 days on board. Oh well - there will be another time.

Bon Voyage!!

Sorry to hear you are cancelling. Take care.

Well, I havent had much chance to check in for a while..and its taken ages to catch up again. What will this thread be like the week before we all leave!

Welcome to all newcomers :thumbsup2

And sorry for those who have had to cancel. Hope you get another chance next time

Hope everyone who has been poorly is getting better. :flower3:

This was my week in Quebec. Ice diving and rappelling. The quarry is 128' deep with a submerged plane, "submarine", two cars, a boat and a couple other small items. In the summer they have a bungee jump area and a zip line across the quarry.

Jon

Amazing photos Jon! I still cannot fathom out how you don't freeze to death!

DH and I spent the day at the Detroit Kennel Club Dog Show. It was wonderful! A whole afternoon of fur babies!!:cloud9: THose of you dog lovers will understand my joy!:goodvibes We learned alot about many different breeds and feel confident we found our next dog- a soft coated Wheaten Terrier! We will most likely wait till AFTER we move again and AFTER the cruise, but it was so fun to see them and play with all of them! A nice day!;)

OOO someone I work with has a Wheaten...his name is Teddy and he is gorgeous!

Any movie in the Disney family of studios could be playing on the ship. I am excited.

Movies on board are great! I'm hoping for some off this list also. Last cruise we loved the late movie showing. My its so cold in that Movie Theatre. We could do with taking some of Jon's ice diving gear :lmao: But the trick was, that everyone took spare blankets from state rooms and got all snuggly and comfy :goodvibes. Some even went in PJs too :)

Have a hard working fortnight coming up, but will try to keep up to date!

Well done Glenn on the website.......its so cool to have such functionality for our cruise!

Have a good week everyone!

Hi everyone!

It's amazing how quickly the days and weeks are going! Before I know it, it will be time to leave for the cruise!

Well done! Do you have to apply for a new passport like over here or does that get sorted by filling at SS office?

I know I have a lot to catch up on but if someone could tell me if any deadlines for things will be before May 1 I would be very grateful as I am still working on things for the the EB first. I will go and explore the web site as I am sure there is lots of info there!

Now I have to go and make plane reservations - round trip that is! I am really excited to join you all on this cruise - I know I saw some familiar names from the 2008WBPC and from the 2010EBTA!

Cruisers:

Krisann (me)
Ashley (dh)
Ashlyn (DD -15)
Aaron (DS - 13)

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Krisann

Im sure you will love doing both! I did last time. Me and my other half Dan are going on this one with hopefully my Mum and Dad and my Sister and her hubby.

I think the lanyard deadline is before May so get them in!

Bon Voyage!!

Sorry to hear this Chris but Im sure there is a reason for everything and that youve made the right decision!

Thanks Sarah. Dentist has put me on antibiotics as she thinks its a sinus infection! There's only a small hole in my wisdom tooth, really too small to worry about and wouldn't be causing the pain. The doctor hadn't noticed (well actually hadn't even bothered looking) that my tonsils were swollen and that there was a small swelling in my cheek area. Hopefully now it will get better.

Sarah, I hope that you infection will clear up quickly.

Im hoping for a 3D Toy Story marathon as missed 1 and 2 in 3D in the cinema as only on for 2 weeks over here! Definately seeing 3!!! Saw the advert on Friday and it looks fab!

I managed to see Toy Story 2 in 3D when it was on at the local cinema. I really loved it.

Hi Krisann, I am glad that we will get to meet after all.

Have not posted in a long time - but just wanted to say have a Wonderful time. We have to cancel - family obligations. We were going btb - 24 days on board. Oh well - there will be another time.

Bon Voyage!!

I am sorry that you had to cancel.

It looks like spring has officially arrived over here. We had a beautiful day on Sunday and it was relatively warm. We went along a nice long walk along one of the local canals – about 8 miles. I felt a little sore and stiff yesterday, but that is a small price to pay for such a nice day.

It looks like we have found a hotel for our Med Cruise. It is not in Barcelona itself, but in Molins De Rei, but there is a train station about 500 yards away from the hotel and the train into central Barcelona takes about 25 minutes. As the hotel only cost EUR35.50 per night, this is a real bargain. If we like it, we will probably book it for the night prior to the Westbound Transatlantic as well.

I am starting to review my wardrobe for the cruise. I have lost quite a bit of weight since my last cruise and there is no way my evening gowns will still fit me come September. I might just about get away wearing one of them for the Med cruise.

I could really do with knowing if we will have one or two formal nights. I have fallen in love with two dresses and if we have two formal nights, I will order them both. Here is the first one:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&item=180471964687

and here is the second one:

http://www.cyberexotic.com/gala_pink_dresses.htm

The second is the same style like my other two evening gowns. Apart from the dresses, I also need to get my favourite wire-bender (her phrase not mine) on the case for some custom jewellery to go with the dress/ dresses. A couple of years ago I came across this really amazing jewellery artist from New Jersey that specializes in wire work. She has been making a fair bit of custom jewellery for me. This is what she made for me last year to go with my evening gown:

3533669115_5f6b6cef58_m.jpg

3534578208_d1a3ba775f_m.jpg

I got the beads and she provided the wire. I am looking at a similar style, but with silver wire. I am thinking clear and pink crystal and white pearls for the pink dress and clear, light blue and pink crystals for the pink and blue dress.

I should at least get one last opportunity to wear my gold evening gown. Our office is celebrating its 10th anniversary on Friday and we are having all kinds of events planned. Part of the festivities is a National Dress Dress Down Day. I have been absolutely lost of what to do. I have no German national dress or even a sports shirt representing Germany. Yesterday we had another email trying to drum up support for this and it was mentioned that it could be as easy as adding a flag to the outfit. Suddenly everything fell into place. The colours of the German flag are black, red and gold. Gold evening gown - check, black jacket - check. Red accessories - mmm, but doable. I just have to buy a red pashmina or something and the outfit will be complete.

That jewellery is absolutely stunning Corinna. I can't get the link to the Ebay dress to work though. The pink one is lovely. I remember seeing photos of your gold dress and it was beautiful:goodvibes

Managed to see one ptoto Corinna and it is beautiful. Ah, I wish I was young enough and slim enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With this group you can probably read "War and Peace" quicker than you can read all the posts. :goodvibes

There must be an international school for tax collectors to learn how to mess with people. Just got mine finished for this year. :headache:

We are seeing some small patches of green grass, BUT today I heard we may have snow again tomorrow and Wed.....it is still March and anything can happen! I have really, really enjoyed the last week though. :cloud9:

Looks like we'll have some nice temps over the weekend, but it's supposed to rain. Oh well, I am working nights so I wouldn't be able to enjoy the nice weather anyways.

Well, I havent had much chance to check in for a while..and its taken ages to catch up again. What will this thread be like the week before we all leave!
There are going to be alot of worn out keyboards

Candida and I have a plan for this. While you and bob are working we'll monitor the site:surfweb:. Then over diner we'll give you the up date. :woohoo: It's getting closer.

The snow did show up! Our yards are once again covered in beautiful white. The dog loves it.
