Thankyou, Scotland very dramatic scenery, but true to form we got no sking, I mean come on, ONLY in Scotland can we have too much snow.:confused3
Its pathetic, they had not dug the tows out, and the fenicular railway was still under snow. If it wasnt so ridiculous it would have been funny!:dance3:

So after 30 mins on hold bla bla bla, they tell me that I have a big second income so have the highest rate of tax possible, I say I do not, they say, well ok, we will swap it back, I asked what/why my code had changed, they said...:lmao:

We are not at liberty to tell you :rolleyes1

That sounds so typical... Sorry that you had to go through it, and glad it is sorted!

I started to fill it out and got as far as the "address in the US" bit and then coudn't fill it in as I don't know where we will be staying yet? When are they starting to charge for the ESTA as I might have to make a decision on the hotel before they do !

You can always pop back in and change the hotel data. You have to do it anyway for every new trip to the US, as you need up update your flight and address each time(if different - I went back in to update for our second holiday and the flight number and hotel were exactly the same!!)

I am heading to Vegas in the morning to pick a wedding spot with my neice. We want to mail the "Save a Date" cards from there and I was wondering if any of you world travelers know where the post office is there (in relation the the strip)?

I do know !!! Wow! And I dont live in Vegas!!!

Pass Mandalay Bay(and the airport is on your left) heading towards the south, turn left on Sunset(now going east). About a mile down there's a PO on your right. The airport is now on your left.
We watched Pres. Bush take off a few years back.

Now take a few minutes out for a real cool time. Stay on Sunset, turn left when you see Sunset Park( it will be on your right). Pull in the first entry and park close to the street, lay down in the grass. Get ready....
The planes will be right over your head ready to land!!! You'll have some awesome pics!!!

A very beautiful location for a wedding is Lake Las Vegas.

Hope things work out for you!

Ann:flower3:

I just received confirmation of my reservation for the ABD London and Paris trip taking place in September. I am really excited:yay:. I visited England two summers ago and one of the regrets I had was that I didn't see enough of London. I will then meet up with my family in Barcelona and take the TA cruise. Can life get any better? Boy, this travelling stuff gets in your blood!! Is there anyone else taking the trip and the cruise? I would like to trade ideas of things:idea: to do in our free time in London and Paris. Trudy

Sounds like a fabulous trip. I haven't heard of anyone else taking this trip but some of us live in the UK and have been to London so we might be able to help you out with a few free time ideas.

One of the things I like to do in London is walking in Hyde Park and along the Embankment ( a walkway alongside the River Thames ). You can also take a narrated river cruise on the Thames but maybe that is included in your tour.
The museums ( Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Vistoria and Albert Museum, British Museum, Museum of London) are free to enter and well worth a visit. Check out the following websites for things to do in London:

I'm not taking the ABD, but I am going to be in London on the 10th through the 15th of September. We'll be staying at the LeMerridian in Piccadilly and doing all the touristy stuff. London Tower, the Eye, Changing of the guards, Globe theater...

Thanks for the links Sarah!:thumbsup2
I've found one for getting around town.

Hyde Park is definitely on the to do list.

So, Taxi or tube from Heathrow?:confused3
I'm not sure how I'll be able to carry 5 suitcases and some carryons on the tube, but I guess it's doable.
Or is it worth the money to just take the taxi?

The Heathrow express is very easy to use. Taxi is probably going to be expensive

Sounds like a great rip, the tube can be haram scaram, it is doable but..... might be a bit stressfull, can you pre book something?
Might be worth posting a q on the uk trip planning board, they are great over there. A cab might be expenive.

I was worried that the tube might be like the subway here. quick on quick off with no place for luggage.
