If I remember right they did run out of Mickey bars. They finally got some when they arrived at Castaway Cay--the Wonder had left them for the Magic. That's one of the things I have never had on a Disney cruise.

me neither - never ever had a Mickey bar - must rectify that one I think.

You remember right. We were told that they arrived broken and could not serve them to the guests, oh to be a crew member then, so the contracted and had an alternative bar made. Clearly it was not the same. The wonder left some for us so on the last night we had Mickey Bars.

It is a delightful dessert/snack. The vanilla icecream is so smooth and the chocolate covering is not to sweet or bitter. I usually treat myself to one when we are on the cruise. DH on the other hand treis to have one a day.

We are curious if anyone who did this cruise before could answer whether the sailing sold out? Were upgrades offered or available at the port? And when do you think is the latest we should get our air tickets??

When we arrived at the port last time, there were no upgrades available and they said it was sold out. In face when our bathroom flooded for the 8th time there was no other cabin to put us in. I do know that they were using cabins for storage, so maybe it was not truly sold out.

As for the airline tickets, my experience last time was that I booked ours early (when they first cam availavle) and got a cheap airfare, then I decided to add my neice and when I went to book her airfare it had doubled in price, ouch.

We have already booked our international airfare and will have to wait till next year to book our domestic airfare. I posted a link for the company I happened onto that I got such a great rate from. Best of luck.

They are so delicious. I've heard they are actually Dove Bars.

Sarah, did you get an upgrade or free upgrade last time, did you notice the ship was not full? as in people walking about /shows and stuff
Did they have enough mickey bars and ceaser salad?

Didn't get a free upgrade BOOOOO! Did ask about an upgrade at the port but can't remember the price and decided not to bother. I noticed there weren't as many kids and way more adults than usual! Shows were probably 3/4 full

Oh and no we didn't have Mickey Bars at all on the WBTA as they had run out in Europe and couldn't source any so we had Pirate Bars. Then we picked up bars in Castaway. Don't remember runnng out of caesar salad mind

Ah in which case it might have been the EBTA we asked about upgraded! The two blur into one!

After spending lots of time looking for flights. I thought I found one, so we decided to stop in at the TA and book it. The TA we usually deal with left 20 min before we got there, so get a junior member. No offence to junior members cuz I know everyone has to start somewhere. But, long story short the TA couldn't book the flights. Even though they deal with the airline we found she said that the flights in that time frame haven't been released. Yet, when I go to the airlines website I have no problem bring them up. She couldn't answer any of the questions I have. I am the type of person that will find the answer myself, but then confirm it by asking someone who should know the answers. She had no idea when the flights would be released for them to book.

I know we could book seperately but, for this trip I was hoping to keep everything together with the TA. Oh well, give it a couple days and we'll check again.

Sounds like a right pain! Hopefully you can get them sorted in a few days!

The pirate bars had different/cheaper chocolate on them so no didn't taste the same.

Marilyn, I booked at the Senior Rate, which is the same as the nonrefundable up front payment rate. Senior Rate you are able to cancel without penalty. Dennis qualifies. Glad I married the old guy!
