Hi everyone!

I had minor knee surgery today to remove the screw and washer from my previous ACL reconstruction surgery in 2006. It was causing me a lot of pain over the last couple of weeks. The surgery was quick and not too painful. I'm in a bit of pain now, but nothing like my previous surgeries.

Hope everyone is doing well! :)

Hi everyone... Hope all is well.

I have been doing a little planning here and there and wanted to share an article I found on Travel. Tip #5 I thought was very interesting. I have also started a list of hotels in Barcelona for my pre-cruise stay and tracking prices for the same stay in 2009, so I will have something to base 2010 on.

Posting on both the last 10 day and Transatlantic Threads.

Thankyou.

Glad it went OK. Hopefully it will heal quickly now.

Just a quick Good morning to everyone :goodvibes

Been very busy lately with my moms business. We did sell her mobile home, to my mother in law, now we need to finish cleaning it out and shampoo carpets and such. Its been too hot to work there with NO AC.

My MIL isnt in a hurry, so we can just do a little each week, thank goodness.

In 95 to 100+ heat my mom has been asking for light weight sweaters and light weight jacket:scared: Clerks think I am crazy:lmao:
Of course nobody has them this time of the year and mom cant understand that so I went to the good old internet and found some.:thumbsup2

So next visit I will take them and hope she likes them. I got 2 sizes and colors,so something should work, I hope!

By the time we cruise I am really going to need it;)
Welcome to all the new people.

Hopefully we are going to get new internet service in about 2 weeks and I will post more often. I pay for high speed at this RV park but it is slower than most dial up. The owner has complained but nothing seems to help, so we will get our own server soon.:thumbsup2 Then it won't take me 10 minutes just to get on line and another 4 or 5 minutes for a post to actually post. That is sooooo frustrating, I just dont bother to post.

Have a great day everyone,

Kathy

Ouch!!! Hope you are feeling better after your knee surgery and not in too much pain now

Thanks for sharing - it is never too early to start planning - this time next year we will be nearly there!:yay:

HIYA
We have just returned from 4 days in Disneyland Paris staying on site at the fantastic Hotel Cheyenne - we had a wonderful time - we went with our DD Taryn and her boyfriend Matt, and our DS Dan, plus our friends and their 3 DSs, and had a great time, although it all went far too quickly - 4 days is not enough time to spend in Disney. The parks were really busy with it being school holidays and in reflection of the recent 40% discount offer in the UK, which was a bit of a pain, but to be expected. The weather was hot and sunny for 3 days, and then the 3rd evening it broke and we had a downpour, followed by a very wet 4th day.

I have written a more detailed "highs" and "lows" report (link in my signature) if anyone is interested in Disneyland Paris, or who is going there before the cruise in 2010. I will also be writing a more comprehensive report with lots of photographs before too long (hopefully)

Now with nothing definite planned before our cruise in 2010, I will have nothing to think about but that! I also have to admit to turning into a blubbering idiot in the middle of Disney Studios when the parade came along to the music "Remember the Magic" which just reminded me of the wonderful Disney Magic and our last cruise. Thank goodness for dark sunglasses! :cool1:

TA, is it just me, but what is with disney that makes me cry?

Whats everybodys holiday/vacation plans before the cruise?

I have nairn for a week in october (loch ness marathon)
Switzerland in january (skiing) yeehaaaa
Pitlochry and st andrews for a week in summer, now I am focused on "the " cruise I am seriously excited!!!!!!

I was just looking at the link that was posted earlier re flights, really expensive, even if you had to buy a flight from/to glasgow with globespan it must be cheaper comparing this year, check the link!!!

http://www.flyglobespan.co.uk

only 230 pounds, even with 70ish quid from glasgow to london you would be quids in!

I am glad that you had a good time. I have yet to see Disneyland Paris when the Christmas decorations have not been up. We usually got either late November or over Christmas. Last year I go an annual pass as this worked out cheaper then a multi-day hopper pass and had every intention to go back in spring or summer, but it just never happened.

I am still busily planning our fall vacation. The lanyards that I had made for our cruise in October arrived yesterday and look stunning. They are so soft as well. The cards with our cruise meet logo arrived a couple of weeks ago and look great. Now I just have to order the plastic pouches and I can start putting them together. I can't wait to give them out.

I think I finally have a pirate costume sorted out as well. I really wanted to get dressed up properly on Pirate Night this time round and with the two Transatlantic cruises coming up as well, it made sense to get organized. I have been looking everywhere for plus sized pirate costumes, but the ones that I found were all too revealing for my taste. Well, I think I might just have found the solution. While out shopping on Wednesday, I found a nice pink maxi skirt on the sales rack and an indigo gypsy top as well. This instantly screamed "Pirate" to me. When I got home, I had a look on Ebay and managed to get a silver and black corset at a very good price. I intend to wear this over the gypsy top. Now I just need a head scarf, a triangular piece of fabric or lace to tie round my waist and a few accessories and the pirate wench should be complete. I suppose it is a bit of a modern twist on the pirate theme, but I am sure it will do nicely. Now I just have to make up my mind if I want to do MNSSHP. I suppose as I am bringing the costume anyway, it will make sense.

Pitlochry and st andrews for a week in summer, now I am focused on "the " cruise I am seriously excited!!!!!!

We have loads planned:
The first weekend in September I will go on a Girly Weekend in Birmingham with some people from the UK community board.

The weekend after we are going to Germany for my sister's wedding

At the end of September we are heading to Florida for three nights offsite, 7 nights on the Magic and 9 nights at WDW

After all this I still have about two weeks leave left that I have to take before the end of the year so we might try for a last minute cruise somewhere in Europe if I can get interline rates.

Next April, all going well, we will be on the Eastbound Transatlantic on the Magic

So there is plenty to look forward to.

Glad you had a great time.

We have enjoyed our visits at Disneyland Paris, the latest being one week last October.

WE just had (this week) our sewer system put in, they had to go thru our backyard. What a mess!:scared1:
So.... our plans before the cruise is to build a cool boat bay for our racing canoe and storage for the yard tools. And add the covered patio on the north side of the pool. It will look awesome!
Doesn't sound exciting... but for me... it's a blue ribbon job!:rotfl2:
And do 2 races: Tempe Town Race(april) and Lake Las Vegas(october).

Ann :rolleyes1

Well, this makes our pitiful plans seem very small :sad2:. We are doing 4 days at Disneyland in October with niece and her family who have never been there. To share our magic is always exciting for us. :yay: In the winter we may take a month or so in the RV and go to AZ. Next summer we plan to RV across the northern US and fly to Barcelona from "somewhere back east" where flights are cheaper, storing the RV while we are gone then RV back home after the cruise.

My knee is healing quite nicely. I'm in a lot less pain today than yesterday. I have the bulky bandage off and just a piece of gauze and tape over the wound. The left side of my knee is numb, but the feeling will come back soon enough. Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

As far as any holiday plans before the cruise...

Well, Dave and I have our honeymoon to WDW in October and after that who knows! It will probably depend upon where I get a job. We'll see!

Hope all is well with everyone!
