OK...just got the answer to the QOTW from my DF!

Mine- It's a Small World and Peter Pan
DF- Pirates of the Carribean

:)

well about an hour ago i took one step outside on to my steps, the steps were icy and i went face first into a thorn bush. at least the bush protected my fall. i had about 10 quarter inch thorns on my left hand. some of them all the way in. my right hand didnt get any punishment. my face is all scratch up looks like i been into a fight with a cat. than my left leg a few inches below the knee is a bruised and a little swelling. my sweatshirt is ruined got a big whole in it, and the pants i was wearing got a whole will now become work pants. i can tell my chest and shoulders i will be feeling it tomorrow. my wife and i was going to go to lancaster tomorrow. hopefully we can still go if im not in too much pain. we only live 2 hours away from lancaster but never been there. my rccl cruise in three weeks is looking a whole lot better now.
well call me crazy im getting ready to go out again. this time being more careful.

Oh god! Be careful out there!

ya i live in southern new jersey

It's been quite a couple of days! Did you get snow on Friday or just rain? In Allentown we got snow and ice, but down here at my DF (he lives near Warminster) they got rain. We did get ice this morning though (I spend my weekends down at DF's house with my DF and MagicMe!) so it was slippery.

Hope you're feeling OK tonight!

It is snowing like crazy here today.
We went into church and it was just starting to snow. We left, and we had at least 5-6 inches on the car. (ok, we had a Christmas breakfast so it was an hour longer than usual, but still!

It is still coming down.

My Inlaws still don't have power from last weeks ice storm. They have heat, so that is good, but they are in the dark. They have a grill and some camping lanters (old, very old camping lanters :scared1: )

Today we are finishing up the last of the Christmas gifts we are making, then we will finish the wrapping tomorrow night and we will be DONE! :cheer2:

Your poor in-laws:sad2: I sure hope everyone has power again SOON. I am glad to see they at least have heat:thumbsup2 There is a crazy amount of white stuff out there tonight, eh?

I'm so glad the kids are excited! I can imagine that Rio is excited to live close to a castle (I think that is so cool!!) and that Marika will love her new school. Do you think you'll ever have a chance move back to the states?

Well, the plan is to stay 2-3 years and then reevaluate. Honestly, I can totally see us staying long term. On the otehr hand, we have not lived anywhere for more than 4 1/2 years since we got marreid. Marika has lived in 5 states already! So, it is really hard to say where the not so near future will lead:upsidedow

FAVORTIE RIDES.....?????

We prefer DL to WDW but love them both very much. Our family rides the rides until the last day. On the last day of every trip, we walk in the parks and look and watch everything. There is so much detail to see/hear/smell that you miss when racing to rides. My kids enjoy it too - perhaps that is our favorite - the Disney difference!

Shirley
Great tradition! WE also lvoe to just wander and enjoy the details sometimes.

We decided today that when life gives you a whiteout you should PLAY. SO, here is a photo of all the white stuff for those you who do not leave on a Northern US coast and are not socked in yourselves:

Could you send a little of that white stuff to my Dave? He is really wanting snow right now but he hasn't gotten any by his house. Up by me, we have maybe 3 or 4 inches which is nothing.

Your kids look like they are having a great time!

Hadley, I'm so glad things are working out for you, but you must be exhausted! It must be very exciting to be moving abroad. Outside of the Caribbean, I've never really been very far from home, which is why I'm so stoked about this TA.

QOTW. DH and I both love Soarin'. DH agrees w/Erik about POTC being better in CA, but we love that one, along w/Haunted Mansion and TOT.

Morning all

Well after a very hung over weekend (Christmas party on Friday was bad lol) I'm back in work for 2 days. Looks like we are going to have a very mild Christmas this side of the ocean.

Oh well

Hi to everyone.

Anyway just want to wish everyone a

MERRY CHRISTMAS
&
HAPPY NEW YEAR

DH and I are off to WDW on 27th Dec for 2 weeks, will be staying at POR. Will anyone else be at WDW at this time ?.

I can't take "credit" for the assessment that DL's POC is better than WDW's----I think that's kind of a universally understood thing....it's just longer and cooler and, if I'm remember correctly, it has more little drops in it. Space Mountain in DL is also WAY better than at WDW....and they have the Nemo submarines ride which I liked very much (despite having to wait for almost 2 hours to get on the darn thing!!!). Nothing can beat WDW's castle, though.....and WDW will also always be our favorite because of the diversity of the 4 parks...and for Animal Kingdom which is, far and away, our favorite place to spend time....that is my favorite park!!

Maybe that would be a good question of the week.....which Disney Park (again, think globally, if you like) is your favorite park??

Mine and Dan's without question is Animal Kingdom followed very closely by EPCOT. Hollywood Studios is our least favourite

Oh have fun in the park. I love New Year in Disney, its my favourite time! Not going to be there but enjoy yourselves!

My favorite park is the Magic Kingdom.
Nothing beats the feeling of walking under the train station out onto Main Street USA.

Yes, thats a good question, I am going to see how far we are from disney world right after I post!
Best park, not sure you can beat walt disney world, but once again it is unfair to ask us to pick, they are all special for diff reasons!

Think I probably agree feenie.

My favorite ride (I know I'm a little behind) is a tough choice. I love so many of them. But if I had to pick I guess I would say POC. I love the one at DL but for sentimental reasons, I'd have to pick POC at WDW. See, from their first visit (and they are now grown men) our first ride every trip was always POC. We'd always go to MK first and make our way directly to POC. We did nothing else until we rode that ride first! We still do that when I manage to get them both down there together!!

My favorite park - I'd have to agree and say MK. There definitely is nothing like that feeling when you walk under the train station and come out the other side to main street with the castle at the end! Just magnificent!!!

Hello everyone,
favorite park? well we have only been to WDW. I went to DL once when I was a Kid,cant really remember it that well.

I agree with Athene, I love Magic Kingdom. I cant really explain it but it just seems like there is more Disney Magic in that park.
Greg loves Epcot.

Pouring rain again today. All our snow and ice are gone now ,but DDs house where we are suppose to go for Christmas day is 10 inches of snow and 2 inches of ice on the snow. Slim chance of the roads being clear by Christmas, so we may have to meet on New Years day instead.

Have a great day everyone and stay safe & warm in all that nasty weather we are all having:goodvibes
