well about an hour ago i took one step outside on to my steps, the steps were icy and i went face first into a thorn bush. at least the bush protected my fall. i had about 10 quarter inch thorns on my left hand. some of them all the way in. my right hand didnt get any punishment. my face is all scratch up looks like i been into a fight with a cat. than my left leg a few inches below the knee is a bruised and a little swelling. my sweatshirt is ruined got a big whole in it, and the pants i was wearing got a whole will now become work pants. i can tell my chest and shoulders i will be feeling it tomorrow. my wife and i was going to go to lancaster tomorrow. hopefully we can still go if im not in too much pain. we only live 2 hours away from lancaster but never been there. my rccl cruise in three weeks is looking a whole lot better now.
well call me crazy im getting ready to go out again. this time being more careful.
TheDisneyGirl02 OMG! That is horrible! If you're talking about Lancaster said:ya i live in southern new jersey
ya i live in southern new jersey
It is snowing like crazy here today.
We went into church and it was just starting to snow. We left, and we had at least 5-6 inches on the car. (ok, we had a Christmas breakfast so it was an hour longer than usual, but still!
It is still coming down.
My Inlaws still don't have power from last weeks ice storm. They have heat, so that is good, but they are in the dark. They have a grill and some camping lanters (old, very old camping lanters)
Today we are finishing up the last of the Christmas gifts we are making, then we will finish the wrapping tomorrow night and we will be DONE!![]()
I'm so glad the kids are excited! I can imagine that Rio is excited to live close to a castle (I think that is so cool!!) and that Marika will love her new school. Do you think you'll ever have a chance move back to the states?
Great tradition! WE also lvoe to just wander and enjoy the details sometimes.FAVORTIE RIDES.....?????
We prefer DL to WDW but love them both very much. Our family rides the rides until the last day. On the last day of every trip, we walk in the parks and look and watch everything. There is so much detail to see/hear/smell that you miss when racing to rides. My kids enjoy it too - perhaps that is our favorite - the Disney difference!

We decided today that when life gives you a whiteout you should PLAY. SO, here is a photo of all the white stuff for those you who do not leave on a Northern US coast and are not socked in yourselves:

Well, the plan is to stay 2-3 years and then reevaluate. Honestly, I can totally see us staying long term. On the otehr hand, we have not lived anywhere for more than 4 1/2 years since we got marreid. Marika has lived in 5 states already! So, it is really hard to say where the not so near future will lead![]()
Maybe that would be a good question of the week.....which Disney Park (again, think globally, if you like) is your favorite park??
Hi to everyone.
Sorry not posted since the start of the thread, been having computer problems and unfortunatley life does get in the way sometimes !!.
Anyway just want to wish everyone a
MERRY CHRISTMAS
&
HAPPY NEW YEAR
DH and I are off to WDW on 27th Dec for 2 weeks, will be staying at POR. Will anyone else be at WDW at this time ?.

Yes, thats a good question, I am going to see how far we are from disney world right after I post!I can't take "credit" for the assessment that DL's POC is better than WDW's----I think that's kind of a universally understood thing....it's just longer and cooler and, if I'm remember correctly, it has more little drops in it. Space Mountain in DL is also WAY better than at WDW....and they have the Nemo submarines ride which I liked very much (despite having to wait for almost 2 hours to get on the darn thing!!!). Nothing can beat WDW's castle, though.....and WDW will also always be our favorite because of the diversity of the 4 parks...and for Animal Kingdom which is, far and away, our favorite place to spend time....that is my favorite park!!

My favorite park is the Magic Kingdom.
Nothing beats the feeling of walking under the train station out onto Main Street USA.
