For those that might be interested, we are looking for a 7 night (hopefully on the Fantasy) for the week of September 15 - 23 2012.

We could be game for that. Another birthday party for Tristan... We managed to get a post-cruise "onboard" booking for 11/20/11 on the Dream, but we'll likely transfer it to a 2012 date.

Oh well.... the clean up guys made of a mess then the water and fallen ceiling. I found a plastic bin that had 10 years of Mickey head christmas ornaments and a wreath... all moldy or broken sitting in a couple inches of water. Im finishing up all day tomorrow. Hey... but it is keeping me out of trouble
I had a blast with our tablemates... not one dull moment there!

Wondering if someone can help me out... Is anyone going to be cruising in the Caribbean or Bahamas before Christmas that is willing to get off the ship upon reaching Castaway Cay?

Stephen grabbed a shirt - and the hanger said it was an adult medium, but it is a small and doesn't fit. Well, it fits - but is skin tight. It was the only real thing he got (besides the Viking helmet) and I would love to get him the right size.

I am willing to paypal $$ ahead of time for the shirt and the shipping if anyone will be there!

Well......home at last! What a truly memorable holiday....in more ways than one! After getting diverted to Madrid on our way out to Barcelona...our Virgin AL flight home on Thursday was cancelled! Spent 24 hours at the airport in Orlando and was thoroughly fed up!

Still, it can't take away our utterly fab cruise....and it did mean we got to fly home with Sarah (Gizmo) & Dan (who were very surprised to see us on their flight)


Thank you so much to everyone who made my cruise so special....to old friends and new, I really did find some kindred spirits



....but most of all a massive thank you to my lovely husband for booking this great cruise, and for working so hard to pay for it!




I'll be back on when I've had a little sleep............

No, not quite Marilyn.......they wouldn't make a decision until 1.45 am....even though it was clear we wouldn't be flying that night. The plane had mechanical problems (at the time we had no info as to what) on take off at Gatwick and had to turn round and land again. They thought it was sorted (how scary!) but obviously not, so when we arrived at MCO we were told it would be delayed 2 hours til 9.45 pm.



As usual there was a complete lack of info all night....felt sorry especially for those with babies and young kiddies.....they eventually managed to make a decision to put us up in the Hyatt........after having to reclaim all our baggage and collect vouchers from the ticket desk we got into our room at 3 am.........better than some who had problems and didnt get booked in til 4.30 am!!!!! Then we had to get up and queue at ticket desk again to try and get on another flight the next day!


Some people didn't get on flight til much later than us (we were on 6 pm flight back) and they also bumped some off the flight......chaos! To add insult to injury they handed out food vouchers for bf etc, but it didn't actually cover bf at the Hyatt so ended up paying for that as well as other things.....


Sorry, needed to get that off my chest! I shall be sending an email and follow it up with a large complaint of course, but veryy unhappy with the lack of customer service from VA....apart from one lovely girl yesterday morning who was doing a great job....could have done with her the night before!


Oh......and the problem was with the wing flaps so quite a major one and they had to fly some parts out from the UK apparently! Glad we weren't flying on that plane! (Ruby Tuesday)........



I know these problems can't be foreseen but the lack of communication and customer service is a black mark against Virgin in my view.



.......normal (ish) service will now be resumed.............*sigh*...it was still a fab holiday!

Sounds just the sort of typical way they treat you these days. You would think they were paying you to fly their planes wouldn't you? I know these things happen, but they could deal with things in a better manner.

It was great ,eating you at last. Sorry we didn't get much time together. Seems I was very lazy much of the time!!!!! Was also good to meet up in DTD too.

We have arrived safely back in the UK yesterday morning and then pretty much slept for 24 hours straight with short interruptions for eating something and going to the bathroom. We were flying back standby, but were able to check in online in the morning. I was more than a little relieved once I had my boarding passes in my hands. Graham was very ill on the flight home, but is basically back to normal now. Looks like he had some 24 hour stomach bug.

The transfer from the port to WDW was a complete shambles. We did not get to Bay Lake Tower until 12:30. For some reason they did not have enough buses and once we were finally on our way, we stopped at 5 different resorts before we got to Bay Lake Tower. I so wanted to meet up with Candida, Jon and Jason, but by they time I got to Magic Kingdom, they were long since gone. Still, we had a great time at Bay Lake Tower and our room was ready when we got there as well.

Post-vacation depression has definitely set in here, but there is no better remedy then planning the next vacation. I rang DVC Member Services earlier today to book a studio for the night before the Panama Canal cruise. To my immense surprise, the only thing they had available was a standard view studio at Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo House), so I took this. I also managed to get a reservation for Sanaa for that evening.

Totally fun cruise! Thanks so much for your cheery faces. Loved the time we spent with Giles and Lorraine and so happy to meet Gus and Chasity! We expect both couples to come and visit!

We're book for the May TA with the kids. Can't wait!

I declare a DO OVER. There are just so many of you I did not get the chance to meet!!

SF Bay Area met, count me in!!!

Had a mishap with the luggage in PC. Saw Glen heading back in to retrieve his lost bag. Never saw him come back out, so hope he found it. When we were loading our rental car I noticed that we had a wrong bag. The only way I knew it wasn't ours was the Mickey luggage tag on it. Otherwise the bag was exactly the same as ours. My first thought was that someone slipped us an extra FE gift. LOL. Headed back to PC, searched the terminal but ours was gone. Luckily as we were driving to Downtown Disney I got a call from Magical Express saying they had our bag and were wondering if we had the other family's. I certainly hope ME was able to get it to the airport in time for the flight. To any Canadian DISr who has a large blue duffle bag, I apologize if there was a delay in getting your luggage home.

I am all in for a do over! We need an Atlanta post cruise meet as well!! anyone in the area is welcome!

Glenn did make it out with the mis matched bag! It was quite an ordeal but he got back to us in time to board the bus to Hertz (and we arrived before the bulk of the crowd so that was good too!)

We might squeeze in a 3 night Wonder cruise the first week of December (we're going to be in WDW anyway, so why not, right?!). If we do, I'd be happy to pick it up for you. I'll let you know.

Alex - we did a dummy date for 11. We have a booking on the Carnival Dream for next year as a part of a 2 vacation deal we got. But - we are looking for the week of September 15th 2012 on the Fantasy!!
