DH just informed me that tropical storm Otto has caused the worst flooding in history in the British Virgin Islands.

Nearly 20 inches of rain since Tuesday. Most of the damage reported in Road Town. Downed utility lines, broken underground pipes, and flipped cars.

I'm glad the weather decided to co-operate while we took this cruise!

Yes it is very sad for them all, it sounds like it has been awful. So glad we were last week and not this.

Life is busy with the "work" that was dumped on me.

We came home on Sunday morning to find.... a water pipe break in our garage(where my studio is) so far as I can tell 2 pieces of comission work are destroyed and lots of personal items I now have a big gaping whole in the ceiling, the contractors will be out tomorrow to patch the work. Oh well... life goes on.
And I hate to say this... I went to Weight Watchers today.... and I maintained my weight the entire trip. I Cant believe it
Our last trip... I gained. So Im right with you ladies. Been there, Ate that!

Hello everyone!!!
Finally made it back on the boards after being pretty sick with an ear infection the past few days...

Anyway, I really, really wanted to thank everyone for making this such a truly fabulous trip.

My table-mates were wonderful!!! Mandy, Mark, Noel, John, Kerrie, Tim and, of course, Paul - we had such fun and never a dull moment! I really hope we get to cruise together again.. And special thanks to Paul for helping me with my luggage on that last day - much appreciated..

I didn't do much. Just relaxed and napped my way across the Atlantic TBH but I'd do it all again, definitely... Oh and I didn't gain a pound!!! My children say it's because I wasn't doing it properly and are now committed to promoting my weight gain when we're on the DDP in WDW in 10 days!!! Cheeky monkeys...

PS: I've still got my sea legs BTW - hope I readjust soon as it's more than a little bizarre..

PPS: Thanks also to my FE group! Unfortunately, I experienced FE malfunction and many of my gifts went missing (along with an anniversary card and gift from my husband which he'd secretly popped into my luggage) so I felt very bad about how little I had to offer. TBH I'm not sure I'll sign up again as I was so horrified that such trinkets could get lost en route..

John and I hope to cruise with you as well again. Maybe with either your DD or your DH in the next year.

So I got my damage total tonight - 7.5 pounds...not horrible, but not something I'm happy with. What I am happy with was the wonderful cruise and all of my old and new friends! The weight will come off (I'm hoping sooner rather than later) but friends are here to stay!

Sue put my sunglasses in her fishextender for me and they got lost by the time I went to get them, they were not expensive but.., I was secretly pleased cause Ive wanted raybans for 20 years and bought myself a set in St maartin, I have since stapled them to my head

Another DIS sighting today. We saw Paula, Marian and Robert at Downtown Disney. They are staying tough and have not yet done any parks. I am amazed!! They are looking forward to Disneyland though.

(I know this is blasphemy but we are looking at the Carnival dream the week of September 17-25 2011 if anyone wants to join us... We have a timeshare deal that we need to use up...)

As soon as the itineraries are posted I will open a meet thread WAHOO! Let the planning begin!

Wondering if someone can help me out... Is anyone going to be cruising in the Caribbean or Bahamas before Christmas that is willing to get off the ship upon reaching Castaway Cay?

Stephen grabbed a shirt - and the hanger said it was an adult medium, but it is a small and doesn't fit. Well, it fits - but is skin tight. It was the only real thing he got (besides the Viking helmet) and I would love to get him the right size.

I am willing to paypal $$ ahead of time for the shirt and the shipping if anyone will be there!

Thanks so much to everyone for making the cruise so amazing! Loved all the fish gifts which will be so much fun to go through again once we get home. They are safely packed into Robert's carry on suitcase for transporting home.

Paula, Robert, Marian and I had a great dinner at Topsiders on the second formal night. I didn't realize they were still here too. I almost wish I could go up to Disney every day. We "almost" had a nice lunch too!!!

We arrived home yesterday afternoon at 2pm after 3 flights in 24 hours and a slight delay caused by extra security before our flight home from Heathrow.
Thanks to everyone for our FE gifts,Stephanie and Casey, Valerie and Bob our dining table friends whose company we enjoyed and Cynthia for our FE
It was nice to meet everyone.
We enjoyed 4 nights at Saratoga Springs before we came home, we went to Epcot for the Food and Wine Festival the best buy for food we thought was the Fishermans Pie from Ireland. Wine and beer from anywhere.
We were dissapointed with all the boarding up around the MK due to all the building/renovations that were being carried out.
We had a magical time on the cruise and hope everyone had safe journeys home

I declare a DO OVER. There are just so many of you I did not get the chance to meet!!

SF Bay Area met, count me in!!!

Had a mishap with the luggage in PC. Saw Glen heading back in to retrieve his lost bag. Never saw him come back out, so hope he found it. When we were loading our rental car I noticed that we had a wrong bag. The only way I knew it wasn't ours was the Mickey luggage tag on it. Otherwise the bag was exactly the same as ours. My first thought was that someone slipped us an extra FE gift. LOL. Headed back to PC, searched the terminal but ours was gone. Luckily as we were driving to Downtown Disney I got a call from Magical Express saying they had our bag and were wondering if we had the other family's. I certainly hope ME was able to get it to the airport in time for the flight. To any Canadian DISr who has a large blue duffle bag, I apologize if there was a delay in getting your luggage home.

I have 3 cruises next year. No idea if I'll make any of them, but at least I've got something.

I'm going to work on my pictures this weekend. Unfortunately my laptop and desktop have gone kaput, so all I have right now is DS's netbook. I really don't want to load it up with pictures, but I may have to temporarily. The bar and spa bills were much more than I anticipated so I can't really replace either computre right now.


Almost forgot. DS is beyond excited. After missing 2 weeks of practice and 3 games, we were not sure he would still be allowed to play on the football team. Well, he lost his starting position, but he's still on the team. He'll be playing tonight against one of our rival schools. Now, lets see if this holds up next week when his teachers get around to grading the work he did while on vacation. I kept pushing him to do his schoolwork, so lets hope it paid off.
