Oh yes Claire, the moon photos are fantastic. We did go out to have a look last night, but it was a little early to see it at its best and then I went to bed early so didn't get out again!!

Well, we're back from the dog show. I entered Neville in the "most unusual" category, and Luna and Juanita were in the "prettiest in pink/best dressed" category.

Neville won 1st prize in his category, and Luna took 2nd in hers!! Poor Juanita didn't win anything, but she looked cute all the same. She was very nervous around all the people and dogs. We're still working on her socialization, so it was good that she didn't completely freak out with all that stimulation.

There were many dogs in cute little outfits, but the dog that won in Luna's category was a Pyrenees with a pink sash that said "vote for me." I think Luna was 'way prettier, and definitely pinker! Personally, I think the "best dressed" was a Chihuahua mix who wore a little pink jacket, a top hat, and shades. He looked very suave! His name was Pablo, which made my friends and me laugh because my Min Pin is also named Pablo and he's a total clothes horse!

Neville is very proud of himself - he knows he's cool! But Luna's okay with 2nd place. She's kind of the "middle child" of our pack and doesn't get as much attention as the others at home. Well, she got tons of attention today, with people wanting to pet her, and take her picture, and telling her how pretty she is. She was definitely in her element! :goodvibes

All three got our vote for first! They looked fantastic!!

Off Topic!

The moon is huge tonight, it's the closest it's been to Earth since 1993.

So I had a play around with my new camera and these are my first ever attempt of taking photos of the moon:

Great moon shots! I didn't see the moon as we were overcast here.:sad2:

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!:yay:

Good morning All-----another rainy day here in SF Bay Area. I'm working in the church nursery this morning. It's great therapy working with those babies. I was SO thankful all those years my four boys were watched over. :cloud9:

Great pics of all the dogs in their finery.

Moon-----:thumbsup2

Making progress on flight and hotels. Got BWV booked for five days after the cruise. Staying at Hilton property in London on points.:cool1: flying to Barcelona Thursday night (DH birthday) then having fun touring day in Barcelona.

Anyone who is going to be visiting London before the cruise and would like to see a West End show ... I can highly recommend you go see Love Never Dies at the Adelphi Theatre .... absolutely outstanding. We went last weekend and I totally loved it. Captivating show and incredible actors.

A few weeks ago, Expedia.com was offering $300 OBC for this WBTA cruise. I cancelled my previous reservation and rebooked to get this offer.

Today, they are having a $500 OBC offer!! I don't think I'll be cancelling and rebooking because I am losing money each time with the exchange fees on my credit card...but for those who are interested, this offer is only available March 19 and 20th.

Hi All.

This is a repeat of our post from November it may be of help to those thinking of flights. I recommend trying the search engine http://en.momondo.com

We booked our return tickets from MCO to MAN via JFK, for our return home after the 2011 WBTA cruise for $695 for the two of us on American Airlines,we have it confirmed and paid by credit card. What an unbelievable price!
That's around £435! I can't believe what a bargain it is!
No hassle on line,we got email confirmation soon after it was booked and were able to chose our seats on line directly with AA.

I think the links to the search engine and the TA would be useful to all travellers on a Transatlantic cruise on both sides of the pond due to the difficulty of getting a one way ticket, usually one way can be more expensive than return.

The search engine will find many travel agents, with many airlines and many routes. We booked through Travelpapa, Georgia, USA, with our credit card issued in the U.K.

Search engine: http://en.momondo.com

TA website: http://www.travelpapa.com

I hope this is of some help to anyone thinking of booking a Transatlantic Cruise, or those who have booked and want to make their own arrangements.

And I was excited because I got $350 from a TA!...oh well, it's only money  Too late for changes, since we booked gty restricted.

Another good one to search is www.mobissimo.com. We checked numerous sites every day until this site showed a cheapoair.com fare which wasn't even listed on the cheapoair site yet. When we selected that fare, we were indeed linked to cheapoair and were able to book the flights. EWR to BCN via LHR $445/person with a reasonable 2hr layover. Not bad considering the other rates out there. I was afraid to wait. We could have booked sooner for a little less on Jet Airways, but I preferred an airline with more flight options, just in case.... So, BA it is, although I'm a bit annoyed :headache:to see they charge for early seat assignments. If I had only known, I might have picked another airline.

As far as cheapoair.com, I didn't find them much different in terms of fees; the total is listed before you book. Just look at the total price on any site and choose accordingly. Even if one site has a higher fee than another, it's the total price that counts for me.

i was looking at cheapoair too, were the reviews that bad? i got a good price from them so was definately looking at booking our flights through that website

The complaints were things like errors on ticketing (name spelled wrong, wrong flight number) that they were slow to correct. I just googled cheapoair.com reviews and read what came up.

When I checked cheapoair, the price that came up on the search didn't include the taxes or their service charge. flyeurope's price included all that, and was about $50/person less. It probably depends on where you leave from, too. I think cheapoair was slightly less for flights out of Atlanta, but flyeurope was better for Orlando.

Nope, you do have to click on "taxes" to get the whole picture. Many sites are similar in that you have to go an extra step to find the total price. By the time we finally booked, I felt like I had one giant search engine swirling in my head....too many choices (but great for finding the right deal)! It's definitely worth it to do the research on all the sites.

Our flights were very expensive as well... One thing we have going for us we ended up buying a round trip ticket to Barcelona and then once we get back home we will cancel the second leg for a credit or refund.

I know what you mean! Makes me dizzy thinking about it. And they put the taxes link in teeny, tiny writing, so my middle-aged eyes didn't see it at first.

I was going round with hotel prices, too, trying to decide if I want to change or not. I ended up doing a table w/ prices in euros & USDs, amenities, etc. Still haven't decided, but I still have some time for that.

:worship: You're way more organized than I am! We booked a hotel through Eurobookings.com just to have one reserved (for three people), but it can be cancelled if I find something better. Again, too many choices :confused3.

Wondering if anyone has had a cabin in the front of the ship before.. We have always had a cabin in the middle of the ship, I'm alittle nervous about the rocking of the ship. I don't want to be

We had a stateroom very close to the front of the ship during last years Westbound Transatlantic. We never experienced any problems with the movement of the ship, and wouldn't hesitate to have a room there again. It also made popping up to the snack bars and drinks station on deck 10 very quick and easy.

We needed a triple also, and ended up at the Hotel Paral-lel for 70something Euros.

We had a forward on deck 6 for the 5 night double dip in 2008. We followed hurricane Hannah, I think it was, back to Castaway Cay. I didn't notice the motion being any different there than anywhere else. We have forward on deck 5 this time. Not my first choice, but I do like deck 5.

On a previous cruise a few years ago, we had a cabin right in the front and never noticed any difference. (Course I could pretty much sleep on a picket fence anyhow). Truly, it was really comfortable.

How about the back of the ship? We are in 7134 (very very rear of the ship). I am not prone to seasickness but Jeremy sometimes gets motion sickness on roller coasters, rides, etc.
