Oooh, thanks Claire. I did find a site on Ebay but they didn't have my size.

I think I just might have to get them!!

Ordered some new shoes for the cruise:

Good news about Morrisons :thumbsup2 ; shame about Marks & Spencer. DH and I are originally from the UK and were hoping to browse in M & S during our stop in Gibraltar.

Chirpee: I notice you're from Ottawa. Have you booked your flight to Europe yet? I'm still hoping prices will drop so I'm waiting :)

Is Main Dining the 6:30 dining or the late one like what we had last May? That would be awesome to get Jay/Melanie again! Thanks!:yay:

Hey Debra,
We signed up for the Main Dining (the 6 or 6:30 one - the early one). Is that what you have?
Hope you have a happy, happy weekend!

I'm so glad Sue was able to call into Morrisons and get it directly from the horses mouth so to speak that they will be open.

Just goes to show Head Offices don't always know what's going on in their stores. :goodvibes

My DH John was quite keen as well and enjoyed them very much as he is a WW2 History buff. My Dad was involved in a lot of interesting WW2 exploits and we have all of his memorabilia from his service in the war.

Here are two pictures that my DH John took in the caves:

Thanks for sharing these photos, Noel. We will definitely be including the caves on our list of places to visit in Gibraltar.

We did they were interesting...

We did a great private taxi tour that took in the siege tunnels as well as the rock, right up where the tour buses don't get to, and the caves plus a couple of other short stops that were interesting and great for photos. It was all interesting.

:thumbsup2We really enjoyed the caves too. Monkeys not so much. :scared1:

We did this same type of tour on the EBTA and were able to get so much closer than the DCL buses; very interesting. The drive was a bit of a white-knuckle experience (crazy, crazy driver), but that's what makes travel fun. You just pick up an official tour taxi right outside the port (ticket counter is inside). Didn't plan to do it this time, but DD hasn't been to Gibraltar before, so...off to see the Rock again! I can't believe the shops will be closed :headache:. I hope the tours are running.

Thanks to everyone who replied to my request for info' on the seige tunnels. :) Looks like the private taxi tour is the way to go!

You are very welcome.

I think the private taxi tour is really the best as last year because we did it on our own, we didn't get to see everything. However, this year with Morrisons' being closed, I am sure I will have much more time for sightseeing.

Cruising at 30K feet on Virgin America on the way to NYC with Aspen. Listening to Billie Holiday, typing on the net and having breakfast. Even has power in the seats so am charging both phone and computer. What a way to fly!!

It is going to be open we have heard!!
