With changing our previous ressie through our TA last week to the new one direct with DCL to get the UK residents discount, we would have to contact DCL to do it. When we have done it in the past it was through our TA and it was no problem.

Thanks for offering to do it :thumbsup2

I don't have any job to do so far, and you are doing the dolphin trip too, if anyone needs a hand organising anything, I would be happy to help :)

Mary you can keep the list for the late dining if you like. I am likely to end up very confused with too many lists and that would be a great help. :thumbsup2

Thanks Claire, so do I :) I'm off to see if I can.

Re Dining, we're on Main dining if anyone else is.

Oh that's a shame, we are on late dining. :guilty:

Anyone on late dining?

We are on late dining, want to make it a table for 6 including us? :)

That would be really great .. but it will be have to be a table for 8 as we already have 2 friends hopefully dining with us ( Warren and Abby ). I will have to check with them first as it will have to be a joint decision.

No probs, will wait to hear from you on that.

I'll easily keep the late dining linked reservation list :thumbsup2

Gosh I am hyper, just off the phone with my friends we are doing the dream cruise with in august. Lots of cruise talk

:dance3: Me too! I am really looking forward to this cruise.

Us too. We had Stevie's sister and partner with us last year and were so blown away at how amazing it was. We were a bit dubious about doing it again this year on our own, but all the people on this thread sound lovely, so I am so excited now about meeting all of you too :woohoo:

Nice to hear people are as crazy about Disney and DCL as we are :thumbsup2

So if we don't have 40 people do we not get to go...:sad2: Another quick question what kind of currency do they take???

Everything on their website and via email is quoted in US Dollars. We have used US Dollars in previous trips to the BVI with no problems. The 40 minimum is to get the group rate and private excursion just for us here on DIS... and I am emailing them an update each month to keep in touch and let them know of our counts. We are currently at 15 confirmed plus 4 maybes (and one child under 3) - which puts us right at halfway there. With us being the only ship in port that day (and only one other ship in port the entire month of September) I seriously doubt they would cancel the excursion on us. The worst I think would be for us to pay the website rate, which is only $5 more than the group rate we are getting. For the same excursion with Disney, they won't even allow under age 3 to go, and I know we snorkeled and sailed several times with our older daughter before she turned 2.

Oh that's a shame, we are on late dining. :guilty:

Anyone on late dining?

We are doing late dining so that our older daughter can do "dine and play" with the expedited dining for her where CMs pick up kiddos so adults can enjoy dining. We wanted her to get to experience formal dining, but not the "long" cruise dining we are accustomed to... so having that expedited dining offer during late seating drew us to book that seating. (And there is no way we could expect her to sit 90-120 minutes for dinner when we don't even practice that at home!!) We are also planning to book Flounder's nursery for DD2 during dinner so we can have that 'adult time' as well. (I received a Disney gift card for Christmas -- which is how I intend to use that!) I think I read the expedited dining allows children to finish all courses of their meal in an hour... and I know we have always preferred late dining as a couple anyway. (Main seating always seemed to rush us.)

I think I read where DCL groups families with kids together for dining. :confused3 I know Curt and I have done group dining on 7 of our week-long cruises, and only tried table-for-two on one cruise, and found how much we truly enjoy meeting and dining with others on cruises. And I also know how when we've done cruises by ourselves we've enjoyed adults-only dining with no kiddos... so hoping to get the best of both worlds here.

Maybe there is another DIS family with kiddos doing the same gameplan for late seating with expedited dining?

We're on main dining along with my parents. How many people do they usually seat at a table?

There were 10 of us at the table last year. I was talking to a lady, on the last day of the cruise last year who was travelling solo. Disney sat her with a fellow solo traveller, a man, and she didn't like him. She ended up eating in Topsiders every evening - nightmare

I'm also on late dining.
