So it appears the Expedia deal may even me better value than the MEO code of Europeans....

I'm currently paying £1447 for 2 adults GTY Ocean View Stateroom with $25 OBC with Disney

The Expedia deal is $2335 (£1506 based on $1.55 to the £) for 2 adults GTY Ocean View Stateroom with $300 OBC

So while it's £50 per couple more you get and extra $275 (£177 based on $1.55 to the £) OBC

Am i reading this right... Can someone double check $275 OBC is a big deal!!!

SW

This is of course assuming folks in Europe can book with Expedia US I can't seem to find cruises on Expedia UK

Huh... good question. I've got all the other details memorizied, you'd think I'd know what room I'm in.
After looking it up I have discovered that I'm in 5522.

Goofy Adpi...not sure if you ever stayed in 5522 and heard the swishing and flushing of water underneath the floor of this room. We stayed in 5522 and it was noisey, with a slushing sound of water under the floor and then, it sounded as if it were being flushed away, then filling again and flushing. There also is aa crew door directly across from the door of 5522 and, it would slam shut day and night. I asked our room steward about the water sound and she thought it might be some type of a holding tank?? If you can snag a verandah room for slightly more, I would definitely recommend it. Just wanted to pass this bit of information along so you know what to expect. :confused3

Also, Expedia.com is offering a $300 on-board credit if you book by March 7th. I’ve looked around and this seems to beat everyone else out there.

I am kind of tempted to do this but sort of feel like a I have a moral obligation to stay with our current TA and reservation.

We have used this agency twice for other WDW trips, but we are not getting any OBC with the cruise except the $50 Disney Visa offer. They have been very helpful in providing information every time we book a trip, but I feel like I am missing out big time on OBC that I could be getting elsewhere.

Should I feel like we owe it to them to stay? Is there any way to go back and try to coax some OBC out of them or say I can cancel and get it elsewhere?

While we have ability to print pictures while cruising, I am not sure everyone else on the cruise would have the same ability. How would that work?

Traditionally, the pictures never get printed. Taken, then shown to the judges. In the past, we quickly load them to a jump drive and then show them on the computer, etc. May be able to get some support on this from a CSM. May also prove a little complicated.

Can someone please let me know the name of the person handling the shirts for the cruise? I have tried to send two emails to the the address given and they continue to be returned. We need three shirts:

TC / XL / Spain to ....
Jamie / MD / Spain to ....
Linda / SM / Spain to ....

Once we know the shirt color we are going to try and replicate one for our little one....family photos and all!

I think this sounds fun if you want to set it up but people may be loath to allow uploaded files from an unknown flash drive to their computers.

Just my thoughts...

Curious - why do you "owe" it to them to stay there? I don't see a moral obligation to shop anywhere if one can find a better price on the same thing somewhere else. Edited to say - well, I suppose I would think twice about it if the TA was my mother in law ;)

Oooh, oooh, pick us! We'll be your drinkin' buddies.:drinking1 But you'll have to look at pictures of our dogs. :dog::dog2::dogdance::stitch2:pluto:

That's not a problem...2 cats and a spoiled beagle here. You'll notice the beagle (Bella) is even in our profile pic! I wouldn't be surprised if Jeremy brings a framed picture of her to put on the nightstand so he doesn't forget what she looks like!:lmao:

I don't mean moral obligation I guess; more that I feel that they have been very helpful and I would feel weird yanking it.

Aaawww, that's so sweet! Ours are on one of our door magnets. And I'll be calling the "pet palace" where they will be boarding to be sure they're okay. (Seriously, the place is called "Endless Love Pet Palace" and they get spoiled rotten there.)

You guys love on those furry family members! Mine went to doggy heaven this summer, and I swear it was absolutely the hardest thing I have ever gone through. Almost every day Sarah tells us she misses him :sad1: but I keep telling her after our big vacation, we will look at getting another puppy. That way I can potty train a puppy and toddler at the same time!! :thumbsup2

Good plan! I've been through that twice and it was terrible (the saying goodbye - not the potty training).

I'm putting in a word for adopting rescue dogs. I just got a text from a friend who does rescue. Apparently a local puppy mill has been busted and animal control is looking for foster homes or else they will have to euthanize some of the dogs - no room at the shelter. :sad1: :sad1:

Thats me. Send a pm if you prefer. Karen

Our bar bill wasn't too bad, we picked up some duty free spirits at our stopover in London, wine at the supermarket in Las Ramblas (that we stumbled upon by accident which was really cheap for wine :thumbsup2) and then bought more in Gibraltar. Any savings on our bar bill goes towards the compulsory trip to diamonds international in St Maarten lol

I love my cabin which is usually down at 7501 or 7503, as it only takes me 2 mins to run down 2 flights from quiet cove pool to top up the glasses or grab another cold one of the cooler and dash back up.

There is definitely a theme for this cruise, sounds like we are all going to be a merry bunch :dance3:

What is the diamonds international? We've never been to St Maarten before so I haven't heard about this one.

BOO about that. I despise puppy mills. My former roommate (and maid of honor) volunteers a lot for Operation Kindness. Such sweeties!

Edited to say - well, I suppose I would think twice about it if the TA was my mother in law ;)

Totally true! (Would put a bit of a strain on the family relations!)

Actually we have been keeping her abreast of all of this mobile pricing information. She looked into the Expedia info for us, but because we paid up front in full to get the deal we originally wanted, we cannot cancel our reservation. Expedia is also--according to her--doing this deal only for one week and only on selected rooms. She is working on matching the deal with cruise.com right now for on board credit of $100. Right now we have only $25. I think I posted this elsewhere, but she tells us that Disney does not usually offer that much OBC to TA's, so she thinks Expedia must have cut some sort of deal, but again only running until March 7.

If you talk to your TA about other deals you see online, usually they don't want to loose your business, i.e. their commission, so they try to help out.

On the Expedia and the UK, not sure. You should contact them. I think they have a "chat now" function. I know here in Skopje, we have booked stuff on Expedia, specifically because we want to pay in dollars, but I am not sure if they have the capability to take non-US addresses on line. I would say contact them--we have called them in the past and they usually are quite helpful.

Just my two cents.

Argos of all places. Antler revelation nexus suitcases. 4 wheeled. Item number for easy reference: 286/5951 £54.99 :thumbsup2

Thanks Mary, I will have a look at them. My hubby seems to think ours aren't too heavy so i'm going to dig them out and weigh them later. ;) Anything for some more shopping space!

You'd think he would be all out for getting new luggage - on our flight home last month all 3 of our cases were over the weight allowance by about 4 kg's each and our smaller holdall was too full to put anything else in (we also had 3 hand luggage bags so no room there either) so we had to decide $50 x 3 in fee's or a new case.....so I left him standing at Downtown Disney check in for almost an hour whilst I got lost on my way to Target to buy a new case......He was not amused! :rotfl2: Even when we put the small holdall into the new case and moved some stuff from each of the 3 cases we were still over the limit and had to take even more on as hand luggage. :lmao:

Yes, the swarovski shop is really easy to find, its on the main street or high street (whatever it's called I can't remember :confused3)

Walking up towards the town centre when you leave the port, there is a town square as such and you head up to the right along the main street, which leads eventually up towards the cable car.

The swarovski shop is not far up the main street on the right hand side.

I know it's sad, but I love to pop my head into M&S and Monsoon as well :) but its the same price as home in there, so no duty free bargains :lmao:

That's fab, I will be sure to have a look in there on my way to the cable cars. :thumbsup2

I think you should go back to your TA and see if they can up your OBC, I am sure if they think you may cancel and move your booking then they will be able to offer you something. Good luck. :wizard:

:yay: :yay: :yay: I want to see your doggie pics and in return i'll bore you with pics of my two fur babies.

Oooooh great idea, I think if i've got room i'll bring a framed pic of my two. ;)

:sad1: I dread to think of that day.....I really can not imagine life without my two. :guilty:

I am sure training a puppy & a toddler will be fun. ;) I just hope you don't get them confused and put the puppy on the potty and the child in the garden. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Awww that's so sad. I hope they manage to find homes for them all. :wizard:
