:dance3:Happy Birthday Marilyn:dance3:

I hope you have a lovely day, have you got anything planned?

Thank you Claire. We should be going for a walk at Harlow Car, our local National Horticultural Society gardens which are asolutely beautiful, then go to Betty's Tea Shop for a Fat Rascal!!!

I love Monsoon and buy my dresses from there. I live in that shop. Their dresses do the trick nicely for a cruise, I love the opportunity to get dressed up.

There always seems to be a Monsoon bargain on ebay as well at half the price of the shop :thumbsup2

I love Monsoon, though go looking and dreaming rather than buying!!!

Sounds lovely but I have to ask what is a fat rascal? It sounds good whatever it is. :lmao:

Betty's of course do lots of yummy things to eat, but I am more restricted diet wise nowadays. fortunately I love these anyway, but probably will only eat half of one!:sad2:

I am sure a white dress would look lovely. You could always choose some bright coloured accesories if your worried it looks too bridal-ish. :goodvibes

Looks like we are very nearly there with the numbers :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: This trip will be something to look forward to as the cruise is drawing to an end :sad1::sad1:

I know... and think about the day on CC... will be the very end. Too bad we are there just a short time.

Hey neighbours :cool1:

Mandy, our office is just round the corner from the pizzeria and my DDs orthodontist is right next to your guest house. Know exactly where you were.

Inverness is such a beautiful city. Has lots of fond memories for us too, I am not originally from the North, but moved up here when I married DH, who was stationed here with the Royal Air Force. DH proposed to me in a gorgeous little guest house in Ness Walk

:lovestruc Small world!! We looked through our pics last night... remembering. We thoroughly loved our trip through Scotland, and definitely plan to return!

They are a bit like a cross between a scone and a cake, and are BIG, about 4" diameter.

I learn something new here every day!!! :thumbsup2

I sent our monthly update to the charter company, and passed along the questions on payment. Here is the reply for planning purposes:

Hi Mandy,

(US dollar is the currency used here in the BVI) Our boats are located right at the cruise dock so there is no
long walk or taxi required

We still have room if you are thinking of joining! Just send me a PM. :)

For sure going: 31 (paying pax)
+ Maybe going: 6 (maybe paying pax)
---------------------------------------------------------------
Possibly going: 37 (paying pax - need 40 minimum)
For sure (under 3): 2 (no charge for under 3)
Total capacity: 39 (includes under age 3, free)
** Need 40 paying, max capacity of 50. **

I don't know what rock I've been under, but don't remember reading much about this. Could you let me know what page you have this on that explains about this excursion? Mentioned to husband last night and we are interested in doing this.

Thanks!!!! :thumbsup2

Hi! The details are on the very first page of this thread (post # 5). :) I've just made current count updates in the postings on the subsequent pages. Here is a YouTube video to put you in the mood! White Bay on JVD is gorgeous... we did a catamaran sail to there before, and from JVD you can see our wedding beach on St John, USVI :lovestruc Definitely PM me if you are interested as we have a max capacity. The price is about half what DCL is charging, and the company has good reviews on TripAdvisor (they are also the company that does NCL's excursions).

Definitely, it's all how you accessorize it. Imagine how fabbie it will look on the second formal night when you have a tan as well :thumbsup2

I have had a few ebay bargains on monsoon dresses and usually pick up my DDs formal night gowns on ebay too, wouldn't pay full price for those when she grows out of them so quickly. I got a gorgeous Monsoon long dress for her for formal night last year for £5 :) Bonus now that she is tall enough I don't have to have them shortened anymore, saves on the dressmaking costs :thumbsup2

As the numbers have already posted :thumbsup2

We stayed in 7620 and it was fantastic. Sadly there are no secret verandah rooms available on the WBTA I keep checking ;)

Congrats to all those that got the sideways cabins on Deck 5 :thumbsup2

Thanks to everyone for the info...;)

Gotcha down, Debra!!! Now you can just bookmark that YouTube, and know we'll be there in less than six months!! :cool1:

So looking forward to it!:yay: Can feel the sun on my skin and the "Painkiller" going down my throat right now! Ah-h-h! :rotfl2:

Thanks Mandy!:thumbsup2

So, the big port excursion discussion for Gibraltar is "are the shops open." :rotfl: What an exciting family we are - I try to go to the grocery store and Wal-Mart whenever I am on vacation. Love to see the variety of selections they offer.

I thought I was one of the few who love to grocery shop on vacation. How we missed the whole Morrison's experience on last year's EBTA, I have no idea. That won't happen again!

We finally decided on an island tour/beach/shopping instead of this excursion, but it sounds like everyone will have a great time. With an unexpected 11 inches of snow (yes, 11 :confused3, when 2-4 were forecast) greeting us this morning (and 1-3 more coming this afternoon), any thought of warm, tropical beaches is comforting. I'm definitely watching the YouTube video a few times today. Just last Friday, it was almost 70 deg. and Larry was cleaning up the property with a leaf blower. Now, he has to dig out the extension cord he left outside, just to use the snow thrower! :headache:

I checked out the website...yum. We, too, restrict our diet until vacation, but these are just the type of pastry DH loves (he's a scone fanatic). I even checked Heathrow's website to see if they had a Betty's shop (no such luck). Are their products available in grocery stores or only their bakery?

I'm embarrassed :blush:to say I just figured out how to multi-quote this morning. Since I have an unexpected day off work, I figured it was about time to get with the program:idea:! Some of us (ME) are apparently slower than others.
