Can't believe it'll be just 6 weeks on Saturday until we leave- still so much to do!:scared1:

:cool1::scared1::confused3:headache::yay::sick:

I have the countdown on my calendar, but it has only just hit me reading your post!!!:scared1:

Oh, do wait until you get your room allocation before paying anything for an upgrade!!!

Hi Everybody,

Have not had the luxury of being able to spend as much time on the Forum as I would have liked to lately , but I have been keeping track in "lurking mode" whenever I can.

Welcome to all new cruisers:banana:
Best wishes to all who are recovering from, or undergoing medical issues

The excitement on the board is obviously at a heightened level - pixie dust storms on the way soon perhaps :thumbsup2 :wizard:

Once again many thanks to all who make catching up easier and to all the organizers who work so hard to "make it happen":thumbsup2

Soooo looking forward to this cruise:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Disney has an expensive excursion to Europa Point with "tea" afterward. How hard would it be to go to Europa Point on the city bus, and find somewhere for "tea" after?> Much risk in not getting back in time for sailing?

It is VERY easy to get to Europa Point.

Once off the ship walk to Casemates (the focal point in Gib and the start of Main St which is the shopping area) It is about a 20 minute walk from the ship. Once there, you will see the small bus station and you can catch a number 2 bus (check this as the numbers have recently changed) and the bus journey if FREE (yes, honest). For afternoon tea, I would recommend the ROck Hotel which is on Europa Road (the road to Europa point and on the bus route). It is a 1930's style hotel and has lovely views! Have a good time and let me know if you want any other help! :)

No matter what he said I think he was, I think the ape was wanting to grab his hat. Everyone I think was more scared when the ape opened the window and went into the van, everyone thought he was going to go thru their stuff.

This is what we had happen at our Ape visit. They went into the giftstore and "freed" one of the "trapped" Monkeys.

I hope to send out emails on this this afternoon when I get home or tomorrow. I have them all ready to go in my drafts folder but am waiting until I approve the art with the t-shirt printer.

I placed the order Saturday AM and uploaded the art at that time. I want to make sure they don't have any kinds of issues with saying we are using copyrighted images (mickey ear shapes) or something before I have people send me payments.

I hope to get an art proof that I can approve today and once I have that, I'll contact everyone for payment & shipping info.

Thanks Chris. I await your email.

Do they have bus maps/schedules available at Casemates as well? I found various maps & schedules online, but didn't find them overly helpful.

I was wondering if one of my US friends would be able to help me out please? :flower3:
:confused3 After months of trying myself, Michelle (Squitty) and a few others have given up. :headache:

Anyway I was wondering if one of my US friends are going to be ordering anything for themselves? If so would you mind ordering the Beer Mug Package for me (well for my DH ;) ) it is $14.95 (possibly plus tax?) and having it delivered to your stateroom, then I could either pick it up from you or maybe you could bring it to the 3pm Promenade lounge DIS meet, whatever is convenient for you. I will paypal the money straight away. The only reason I want to order this before we get onboard is because i've heard they ran out on the last WBTA so my thoughts are if you pre order then you'll be more likely to get it if they have limited stock.

Thanks for reading. :goodvibes

Hi Claire!
That whole ordering problem just sounds silly! I am planning to surprise my husband with the Beer Mug Package again (ssshhhh....don't tell him ;)) because he loved it last time. I would be happy to help you out. Whoever is interested in ordering the Beer Mug Package can send me a PM and I'll get back with you.

It seems that we should be able to "gift" it to your stateroom, so you would have it on arrival...but I'll have to check into that.

I was planning to place my order once our room was assigned - so, still waiting.

It suddenly dawned on me this morning! :scared1: :scared1:

I can't believe it's the 1st August next Monday, we will have reached the cut off point for the FE's, Scrapbook exchange etc! :faint:

AWWWWWW, that is so cute. I am a huge animal lover, 2nd to Mickey/Disney. I may have to "free" one of those monkey's myself. DH is not going to be there to say "what do you need that for" ha ha ha. :rotfl2:

As you walk into Casemates through the gates, on the immediate right is the tourist information office. Go in and pick up one of their maps, they are free and very good. They make a good souvenier as well, so get 2 and keep one for home!

Just read this properly! I have never seen a bus timetable but ask in the information office and they may have something. However there are only 5 bus routes and all of them are free apart from bus route 5 which takes you to the border with Spain!

Thank you so much for your kind offer Peggy but Evelyn has kindly ordered one for me already. :)

Yes. Our whole group was just standing there laughing and taking pictures. Especially when they started fighting over who would get the monkey and started carrying it around like a baby by the scruff of its neck.:lmao:

Such a shame Mel, you can't get anyone to do this for you either as they won't put it in your cabin. :headache: Maybe ask at Guest services when you get on the ship? They have the stuff onboard anyway so don't see why they can't do it......then again I don't see why they can't let us order now & just charge in $'s either. :sad2:

Thanks anyway Bev. :)

Yeah I know Claire. I will ask guest services on board but I really wanted the decorations and cake to be there when we open the door

saying that there's soooo much exciting stuff to do it doesn't really matter :dance3:

Well I had a sneaking suspicion this morning and it looks like I was right - I just received this from the people doing the T-Shirts:

"Disney is extremely strict about printing any of their logos or name. We would need Disney's permission in order to print your current design. In order to proceed we would need to remove all of the Mickey Mouse head images and revise the text to read: "Transatlantic Pub Crawl 2011 aboard the Disney Magic" or "2011 Transatlantic Pub Crawl on the Disney Magic" instead."

I was told that maybe Zazzle or Vistaprint are good options instead and they do not have issues printing Disney stuff, so I will look there tonight instead of changing the art. Will advise ASAP.

I had no problem printing Disney themed items with Vistaprint.

Zazzle won't do it either or cafepress. I have successfully ordered from Spreadshirt.com, but have not gotten the shirts yet (order was processed) problem is it can take up to 6 weeks overseas (with our APO), but they did process it and send it. Also vistaprint seems to work, however, the shirts are really thin and only in white while spreadshirt allows colors, etc.

But most of the places just don't want the headache. We did not steal anything from Disney in our shirt--we even used a font in MS Paint called Disney, but they still said no. Good luck. If I get our shirts from Spreadshirt (any day now I hope) I will post pics.

Vistaprint did the shirts no problem for embarkation day. I guess you could try them.

we have used vistaprint for both our crusie shirts and work shirts which both have Disney logos and fonts.
Although the shirts are a little thinner than your average shirt, they are very well printed and my work shirts have been washed regularly and still look the same as the day we got them.

Also they nearly always have offers on for free shirts or 3 for 1 all you pay is shipping.

Good luck

Nancy did you get GBpounds from guest services? They told me they did not have any, only euros.

This is what GS told me as well. The reply I received was "We have run outof British Pounds". I would imagine they carry very little if they in fact do supply it. My advise would be to do all the exchanges ahead of time pre-cruise and to depend on GS in case extra money is needed for the particular port.

Noel, thank you for including me on the Welcome Package. You have done a fantastic job so far in welcoming newcomers and putting the information together.

Peggy, sorry to her about the loss of your mother.

It amazes me how well you all do to keep up with the thread. I ran behind and had to sit myself and read about 20 pages to catch up. The housework, cooking, errands, attending to family, outdoor activities, never stops.:laundy: It's just go go go, and I don't watch television. I cannot imagine how I could fit TV in as well. You are all doing a fine job in informing us all as the days tick closer.

Now that I've caught up I have to tell my DD to go to the Kids' WBTA thread to do the same. This is so much fun for them too!

I agree totally. I get all my cash as well as cash passport at travelex at Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto which is not far from home.

My three children are grown and I am retired so I have much more time to myself these days!! I can not imagine keeping up when I was working full time and my kids were younger!! I didn't even really watch as much television as the kids sports took up most of our time.
