IGTs and VGTs are up at DCL, but no OGTs which is what I have. Good or bad? I don't know. I'm afraid they will start offering free upgrades to people book last minute, and then I won't get an upgrade! ME, who committed to this cruise first!! I have waited so long!!! DCL needs to remember: Make new friends but keep the old, one is silver one is gold. I am the old friend here DCL! I am the GOLD friend!

Oh no!! My zen is crumbling!!! I need to get it together!!! Don't think about your room assignment; Don't think about your room assignment; Don't think about your room assignment!!
I think their can't be that many people who can do a cruise like this on such short notice. I wish I had a mole at DCL who could tell me what is going on with room assignments and how they do it...NOOOOO!!! Don't think about your room assignment; Don't think about your room assignment; Don't think about your room assignment;

Anyhoo:

we LEAVE for Barcelona in 20 days;:banana:

we CRUISE in 22 days :yay::yay:

I have 3 weekends left before we leave to get all my stuff done!! :scared1:
I could have written this myself, except it's 19 days til Barcelona for us :woohoo:(and we're silver, not gold :guilty:). DH let me know about the IGTs popping back up today. Why, Disney, Oh Why????:confused3

I'm joining this thread, bear with me, I'm new to this posts and all.
Welcome :cheer2:! Did you just book, or are you just finding the Disboards?

:welcome: aboard. I'm Claire and I am cruising with my husband Lee.

Have you just booked the cruise or just found the DIS? Not long to go, are you excited? We all are.....:cool1: :yay::dance3:

Ooops! I didn't mean to imply that I was "Gold" in any sense than I had booked a long time ago...sorry, confusing I guess - this is will be my first DCL cruise so right now I am...nothing? :sad1:

GatorMom I am sitting at my desk crying. What beautiful story.

I too read the trip report from last year WBTA and saw that BBB was mentioned. When I spoke to DCL about it, they said it is up to the crew on longer cruises to put it together and it is never announced anywhere outside of the ship so we may have it on board still.

I also have a princess to rent for the tea if anyone would like to join us. princess:

Thanks,

Nickole

Yes, that would make sense. I kinda hope they have it as we only have one day at WDW. But if not I guess we'll have to squeeze it in.

Ohhhh please do report back!!

My extended family is thinking of doing a trip to Paris in May 2012 and while they are making lists of cultural things to do, DH and I are only thinking, "wow, we can actually see Disneyland Paris!!" Which, in the culture of the Mouse, is a very refined and excellent plan! :rotfl2:

Paris is truly beautiful, one of those places that doesn't disappoint, it's just like you hope and imagine it will be.

Disneyland Paris is beautiful too. One of my favourite places.

SW

I agree, Paris is beautiful and one of our favourite cities ever!! We also really love DLP!

Welcome! We are Leanne, DH Ken, and DD Morgan (9). This is our first ever cruise, so I will leave the vets to answer your cruise questions. :goodvibes

The children are invited to a prince and princess tea, they are allowed to be escorted by 2 adults each. The adults can not go with out a prince or princess... so.... Some of us "Fairy God Mothers" are asking to "rent" escort a child to the tea.

We started this on the EBTA.. I think it may just catch on! I brought a small gift for my little Princess last time and will again this time. I think it would be a good thing for us Fairy God Mothers to bring a little surprise for our little Prince or Princess..... pixiedust:
I know it was awesome to see the smile on my Princess's face when I brought her a little gift.
What ya think Fairy God Mothers?

Yes I was intented to do that too.

I love Paris, ( hey that's a good name for a song) :rotfl::rotfl: its been a few years since I was there. After spending a week in Paris, then rented a car ( no way was going to drive in Paris) and drove up to Normandy beaches, the American Cemetery, over to Mont St-Michel, Bayeux, Limoges, Giverny and Monet's Gardens to Versallies and back to Charles de Gaulle Airport. I loved what I saw of France, want to see more sometime.[/QUOTE]

We love Paris too. We tried to go there once a year. Combined whit our trips to Disneyland Paris. This will become less, because we haven't got a passeport annuel anymore.
Normandy, with mont st michel and the gardens of monet are also lovely.

Welcome, Monica!

Mandy, THANK you for all the work you did on that excursion! :worship::worship::worship:

FE PARTICIPANTS

I have copied the entire document by hand into a spreadsheet and have sorted it two ways - within each group by room number, and, for those of us giving to everyone - by room number over the whole list (which removes the duplicates). There are A LOT of people with room numbers yet to be determined.

IF you would like your group or the entire list sorted in that manner, please pm me your group name, and your email address.

Oh, I love Paris too! Have only been once, last year, before the May 26, 2010 Med cruise. Spent 4 days and took the train to Bayeux to spend the night and do an all day private Normandy tour. That was amazing! My kids can really appreciate now what soldiers sacrificed during World War 2. We also traveled by overnight train from Paris to Barcelona in 2 grand class cabins! A nice splurge and a restful sleep (with the help of a little benadryl! :) )

Marilyn that's a great idea, will wait for dawn to come along to volunteer lol ; ))) (I will help too!!)

)))

Yes, excellent idea! I've been working all day (12 hours doing a wedding... a LOT of nails!) so I haven't been on the board today. I would love to help.

I'll bring a bunch of polish and glitter with me to sparkle up our princesses (I can do happy faces on the boys nails if they like?) I even have some Mickey Mouse nail stickers to share :)

You rock! :worship: I am also packing a tutu for Em - a onesie with a tutu is appropriate for evenings onboard, right? ;) And we just went by a little store where I could pick up a small tiara for formal night. Her hair is just so tight/curly that I am usually clueless how to fix it. :confused3

I am not bringing my princess but I would be more than happy, even crazy excited, to do the little princesses makeup. I will have my stuff with me. I could maybe even bring little lip glosses or something for each girl if people tell me a head of time.

You just reminded me that I have some Princess makeup hidden somewhere... I think my mom got it for Sarah for her THIRD birthday... one of those "not for under age five..." so I stored it somewhere.

Ahhhh.... something else to add to the list to look for! And yes, when the princesses have someone other than mom fussing over getting them pretty, they will most certainly feel extra special!! pixiedust: What a great idea!

Welcome aboard.. I am Jill, I was on the EBTA and going back to bring the Magic back home! You will run into several of us from the EBTA.....

Ooops! I didn't mean to imply that I was "Gold" in any sense than I had booked a long time ago...sorry, confusing I guess - this is will be my first DCL cruise so right now I am...nothing? :sad1:

Mandy.. I used to be a hair dresser many many many moons ago...:rotfl2:
Anyway... I would be happy to fix Sarah's hair... actually would love to get my hands on it.. it is so beautiful.... I also have practice doing my daughter's and grand daughters hair... Do I qualify yet? :confused3

I'll bring a few things to do it with... let me know.. after all, I am her Fairy God Mother.....

W E L C O M E !

This is Lynne, solo cabin, traveling with a group of 100+ (who you will meet as you read these posts), specifically dining & playing Trivia, BINGO, etc... with a couple that I met on a DCL cruise Oct 2008 and sailed with last year on the EBTA and Med cruises. This is my 3rd long cruise on DCL, 8th overall (all Disney). I usually travel with at least one of my nieces, so this will be a change for me.

You won't be new for long if you read along and pipe in. Many of the people who post are fairly new to this forum and/or cruising/Disney cruising. Ask any questions - you can read pages 1-2 to get some idea of events we've got planned.

You are "green." :goodvibes

Mandy, THANK you for all the work you did on that excursion! :worship::worship::worship:

No problem! It is just such a beautiful area - always love to share beautiful places with others! :thumbsup2 I'm going to have to ask whoever is sailing our boat to point out Hawksnest Bay over on St John. That's where Curt and I said our "I Do's" several years ago, and I know Sarah has been wanting to get a glimpse of the place. JVD is just about four miles from there.

Most definitely, Jill! I picked up a little clip and small tiara at Sam Moon today. And I think you saw her with her hair in a ponytail. When I try fixing it right after it is washed, it is manageable. (Like a MUST DO on Sunday mornings before church. Can't wash it the night before.) Love her color and ringlets, but if that hair is dry, no comb will go through it.

In the past 10 years I have decided that the greatest mystery on this earth was not who shot Kennedy......not over heaven or hell......not global warming.....but how in the world do airlines award, seat, and bump existing reservations at will! To me this has been a ten year contradiction in logic, practice, and consistency.......until now!

I log on to DCL today and cabins that were not available yesterday were all of a sudden ready for booking!?!?! Held back rooms released? Existing reservations "Pixied?"

I realize these are the ramblings of an outside GTY victim who would pay $ 100 just to learn my cabin number and who only has themselves to blame...... But, I do have a question....

At the port, IF any upgrades remain available does anyone have any experience on the discounts offered or the additional fees to upgrade from oh, lets say and OUTSIDE GTY to a verandah?

Thanks for any info you that have experience may be able to share.
