The dining rotation as of now would be the following:

There are three rotations as listed below.

Rotation # 2 would consist of L,A,P,L,A,P,L,A,P,L and A.
Rotation # 3 would consist of P,L,A,P,L,A,P,L,A,P and L.
Please keep in mind that this can change at any time.
Thanks for that Tammy

Since we've come back from WDW this is what I've heard the last few days from Lorelei. "I meet Cinderella. I meet Belle. I big hug Beast. I meet Mickey Mouse. I eat Cinderella's Castle." Obviously she's 2 so we don't have our past tense down and we get to hear the same phrases over and over again but it's nice to know we're raising our Disney fan properly. :rotfl:
Hi Lauren - I didn't know you were home...sounds like Lorelei had a great trip :)

thought I would do a quick intro before I start reading through (at least page 4) all the older posts.

I am Mic, and travelling with my youngest Sarah (13) and hoping my oldest Talena (24) will get to join us. We live in MN and I was lucky enough to do the EBTA and when my new friend Monique said she was going on the WBTA, I talked DH into letting us go.

:)

I am in the process of getting our name on the rollcall, signing up for the FEE and seeing what all else is going on.[/QUOTE

My daughter Mallory is also 13, Hopefuly they may get to know each other onboard! :goodvibes

Thanks for this info - in the event of "changes" - here was the "A" rotation on the EBTA in May 2011 - have no idea if its relevant for the WBTA - but here it is

A, P, L, A, P, P, L, P, L, A, P, L, A, P

Awww that is so cute. :lovestruc

I have finally had a break through with the personalized part of my FE gifts, I have just finished the first one and am really pleased with it. I can't wait to give them out to my cruise buddies. :cool1: Now I just need to make the rest, good job we've still got 2 months as they take ages! :lmao:

45 pages is not too bad! LOL!

I'm enjoying following along with your reading, Mic (partly because I haven't done that yet with even one thread :worship: )!!

Hi Seamour :)....I would hate to think that the spas are justifying poor services that don't last by saying that they aren't allowed to use the "good" products because of environmental laws. :confused3 Particularly in regards to nail polish - there are many excellent brands that are very safe, and the ship spas should be using those ones if they are concerned. Besides, it's being applied to nails, not dumped into the ocean! Nail techs, in my experience, are very careful with their waste products - it's not worth it to be careless.
I just want the spas to give their clients the best service possible, and to give them something worth paying for :thumbsup2

I think I'm in the minority (?), but I have always had wonderful experiences over the last 10 years with nails in the spas on board...no chips or anything, just starts growing out...lol. I have been told that they don't like to use OPI due to additives that are not legal for them, but whatever they've used has been great. One of my best friends is an excellent nail tech in an Aveda salon here in CA & she even approved of the results...lolSo many people have reported problems & I'm really baffled by that. :confused3

But......for the first time ever, I had a problem and it was just recently on the Magic for the ebta!! I DID have to go back for a couple reasons - one was the polish was NOT good, and second, I wanted shellac & the person doing my pedi didn't know how (I really think she was subbing because her other job was strictly massage in the private villas & for the first time the polish did not set well). So go figure!!! I love to do salon treatments like this on the first day - it just sets the tone for me for vacation!! The VAT may cause me to get this done before I go though..:cool1:

Sorry to say, this is NOT what they followed on the ebta. We had thought they would do that typical rotation, but...because of all of the specialty dinners & wanting to coordinate the timing of regular rotational menus, it was quite different in actual practice.

Ours, for instance, had 2 nights in a row in PC, 6 total, and only 4 total in Lumiere...the same as Lisa's!! :thumbsup2

:woohoo::woohoo: ditto, us too :banana: I'll also have had my manicure and pedicture before Palo brunch too, I will definitely be chilling out and relaxing somewhere too :cool1:

Well done on your break through, you guys are so inventive, I would have no idea what to give :confused3

I think I must be in the minority too, I have never had any problems with my nails in the spa. The only gripe I had was that the alcohol in the santiser wipes turned the french manicure yellow but, on our last med cruise, they have now swapped the sanister wipes to alchohol-free :woohoo::woohoo: so no yellow manicure this time.

The spa had always used OPI in the past, but last year swapped to CND. I asked for a shellac french manicure on our last cruise and I was told that the light wasn't working properly for the french, so they didn't recommend it. Hopefully that might be sorted by the WBTA. My standard french lasted the 10 days fine, apart from growing out slightly.

I don't mind paying the extra spanish VAT as I love getting my nails done on the first sea day in time for formal night :lovestruc

On last year's WBTA, we had a straight run of the PLA rotation with no changes.

On our med cruise this year, we got a random A put into our rotation too. We asked the dining room staff why we were in Animators 2 nights in a row and, as you say, it's to tie in with the dining themes.

Here's our rotation from our 10 night med cruise:-

P L A A P L A P L A

Glad to hear you've had good results too - I've always loved the nail services on DCL & a few other ships as well.

Just curious as to when your Med cruise was? On the ebta in May, the nail tech wanted the cord to be lengthened on her light gizmo because it was really awkward where she needed to plug it in, & one had to sort of wind around like a pretzel during the process....lol So she sent it off to her tech & I'm curious about that - sounded like a tricky task for the electrician, but what do I know?!

Thanks!! We were on that one too - stayed on to do our first B2B....25 nights & I was ready to stay on, but DH was more than ready to disembark...!

That light should have had plenty of time to be fixed now...:lmao:

Thanks Lynne for the Sept 11 memorial photos.
I got my first airport security pat down a few months ago. Hoping for a second in Boston before the cruise!:rotfl:

I dont know if this is what you looking for.

Are you doing brunch on the first sea day, too? We're going at 10:30.

Glad you had that break through! I've had to change my gifts a bit, or I'd never have even come close to getting them finished. As it is, I may still be working on them on the plane to Barca!

I just checked in on the meet thread for our October Dream cruise. One of the Gold members said there are no ressies left for Palo brunch on that trip, either. Of course, there's only one sea day on the 4-nighter, but we've never had a problem getting ressies on those before. I'll be interested to see what's left by the time we Silvers get to book. I'd love to try Remy, but not sure if we can swing it this time. Maybe next year. I'm thinking we're going to be on a very tight budget after the WBTA. But we've done two 4-nighters, so we can always entertain ourselves by exploring the new ship.

Truth be told, I'm thinking seriously about talking Dennis into cancelling the October cruise and just spending the week at the Food & Wine Fest. We'll be going there for three days after the cruise, but that always feels so rushed, with MNSSHP, too. I'm still waiting to get a pin code for the resorts in October. I usually have one by now. May have to check on the military discounts available.

As for mani/pedi's, I don't bother much with them when I'm at home, and there's no way I'll pay DCL's prices. I might get a pedi before we leave, since I'll pretty much be living in flip flops onboard. Manicures are completely wasted on me, though. I spend so much time with my hands in water and shampoo on my job, any polish would chip off in no time.

I have been having a go at designing a door magnet this afternoon that i can use for one of the roaming door magnets we have been discussing. I wanted to show you my design and explain the background behind the figure!

We are both childminders (home daycare providers) and we have a big fluffy bear dressed as a pirate that the children named Trevor. He is a travelling bear that goes away on holiday with them and they take lots of photos and he and they have lots of fun together.
He had his first trip to WDW last year and he will be joining us on the wbta, but i thought i would use his photo on our roaming door magnet so that we could take it back to the children and put on our display board.

So there you have the history of Trevor the Traveller! :thumbsup2

Just not sure what to make it out of, paper/full magnet etc. as we have tested writing on a magnet and it just doesnt work. Any suggestions??

You might want to try something like this http://www.amazon.com/Avery-Magnet-Sheets-Inches-03270/dp/B00006HN5Q

You can print on it... and i'm sure you can write on it in pen or sharpie? I haven't tried it myself, but under the reviews, some have used it for cruise cabin doors

We are indeed, 11am I think from memory. I'll give you a wave if we walk past you guys. :thumbsup2

Thanks Pat, I am really pleased to be making progress with this FE gift!!

I finally feel like i'm getting a little more organised, yesterday I pretty much finished getting my scrapbook exchange packs ready. Just waiting for one more thing I ordered to go in the packs and thats them finished. :thumbsup2 I've got some of my Candy Swap sorted so it's slowly coming together. I made Lee try his Tux on yesterday as it's been in the back of the wardrobe for a year or two so that is ready to be packed. :cool1:

I've never done a scrapbook before, but I've decided I want to make one for this trip. I've picked up some paper, borders, and embellishments, and I've got a couple of extra packages of the chipboard embellishments from Joann's that were posted a while back. I also bought some pretty Disney paper - it was on clearance, so I grabbed all the sheets they had!

I'm not signed up for the scrapbook exchange, but I'll trade the paper and extra embellishment packages for some advice and tips on how to make this thing. I don't want to crash the exchange, so maybe I can meet up with a couple of you in the Cove Cafe or Promenade Lounge at some point for a lesson.

I use those for door magnets and they work great. I would suggest once you get all the signatures on it that you laminate it. It will last much longer that way.

I love your Trevor! he is adorable and what fun for the kids to have. Maybe you should make one for the characters to sign as well. You could take it to guest services and ask to have it signed.

That reminds me... for those new cruisers... you may want to bring something like a mat picture frame or a pillowcase to take to guest services as well. They will have all the characters and/or the princesses to sign it. They then return it to your stateroom towards the end of the cruise. It really turns out cute.

On the first day of the EBTA we were blessed with a new grandson. I got a picture by email of him and had shutters print me a 5X7. I took a white mat to guest services and had the characters sign it. Also Capt John signed and dated it. We had Mickey sign the picture and he put happy birthday on it.... I have to say it turned out just so cute. His mom and dad where excited to get it. These are things you just can't buy...... :woohoo:

Hi and welcome.
Seymour, you can(if you want) do Multi Quote by clicking the Multi Quote button at the bottom right of the post you want to quote. That turns it red to let you know it has been noted. Keep doing that till you have a good number to reply to and then do your reply.;)

trying that now, thanks! I couldn't figure that one out

Wow you've been very busy....6 pages.

My crocs are the flip flop variety, not the full foot kind.

Welcome onboard.
I love my croc flip flops!!!!!

I'm anxious to see you again Mic. So glad you get to bring your daughter this time. We did have fun on the EBTA!

Mic, I tried to hit any that I saw even if not on my list. I also befriended a couple in the terminal that had 2 little girls and started taking magnets, candy and FE gifts to them. I told the dad to put a bag out and I would bring them surprises.... I saw them later and they were so happy about it. I love helping bring a little magic to the kids on board....pixiedust:

Of Course... and thanks for attending our vow renewal. I think there were about 60 people there. It was so nice. And thanks to Damian for doing it for us....

I think this time around I will not have as many dress up clothes and formals... with out DH I won't be doing so many pics. So keeping it simple. I will bring a semi formal but not a long one. If you see me in the same dress... just pretend you haven't already seen it....:rotfl2::rotfl2: So that means less shoes!:rotfl:

My best language is Texan..... which some say is not the same as english...:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I wouldn't know if I saw you in the same dress, LOL so I won't even have to pretend! Can't wait to see you again!
