oh yes but you still have to try them all, just to be sure :rolleyes1

Is anyone else stopping at the same hotel as us? Well I do know of another family actually, but it would be great to have a few more. They do a 10% discount on the cruise rate. Close to Las Ramblas and Placa Catalunya and it has a pool!!! We stayed fairly close to this area last year and it is a great spot.

Three months ago we were talking about English food, Tesco, and Walker's crisps. :lmao:

If anyone randomly read our thread, they would think we were obsessed with
  • alcohol
  • shoes
  • losing weight/exercise
  • clothes
  • food
  • shopping in general
  • shore expeditions
  • pets
  • cruising
  • other travel

perhaps in that order
did I miss anything big?

That is a nice looking hotel. I hope I don't kick myself for staying so far out at the Hilton Diagonal Mar; but I did get one room for points ($0) and the other night for 130 euros or so (I think with breakfast). There'll be no quick stop-by-the hotel for a break during the day for me.

I found the perfect design for a t-shirt for pirate night:

That sounds exceedingly cool!! Do we have a ballpark price yet?

I think the plan is to just make the artwork available and then everyone can purchase their own shirt in whatever style and color they would like. People had mentioned before that some don't like t-shirts so they'd want to pick out something that better suits them.

I know that Dan (Cliffy97) and I would like to get ours on a ringer t-shirt, so I'll probably be ordering those for Jeremy and I and Dan & Bruce.

There are many websites for digital printing of T-shirts; if someone can point me in the right direction of which one is best so everyone regardless of location can order theirs, that would be great. Ideally it would be one that has an arm in the UK and other points in Europe too.

Ideally I'd like to be able to set it up as a "stock" shirt that people could go to this company's website, choose their shirt color and size and just order it.

Well, here we go again, have just booked the west bound transatlantic, its only a couple of weeks since we got back from the east bound. Currently have a gaurentee veranda cabin, will post cabin number when we find out where we are.

Will be in touch

regards

Chris and Yvonne

:lmao::lmao: Baggage allowance, mainly because of the shoes, clothes and shopping in general in the above list!!!:rotfl2:

Hi and welcome. glad you are going to be sailing the other way with us and getting those 6 hours back!!

As far as dressing up goes, my experience on RCCL, NCL, Costa, Princess, and Celebrity (and I expect no different on DCL) is that some people (including me) wear tuxes (I wear one with tails); but most men just wear a coat and tie. Many more just choose to eat in the buffet and skip the whole dressing up bit.

But the main message is not to worry about it. The first rule of cruising is "Don't talk about cruising" -- No wait -- that's Fight Club. The first rule of cruising is "Relax and have fun!"

Regards,
Jerry

:cool1: I love it......... I am so glad I asked, because I too have been on several crusies and some people do and some don't. When I crusied with my late husband we did the tux and all the glam. I am looking forward to being with all of you. I sounds like it is going to be a wonderful time.:thumbsup2

Hallo Take That!!! and with Robbie Williams. Enjoy it. I didn't bought tickets for the Amsterdam concert. Let me know how it was. Then I can perheps go at july 18th. There are still tickets available I see.
My last concert was U2 in Hannover (also more than 200 mile from here)

OMG the show was out of this world and amazing!!!! I can't say too much as I don't want to waste it for Claire, but if you like Take That or Robbie Williams as an individual, it is a MUST MUST see.

What amazing entertainers they are, get the tickets snapped up for Hanover ASAP :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: you won't regret it :banana:

The Progress tour, with the 5 of them reunited for the first time, is a one-off,
you won't likely see a show like that again from them

Unfortunately back to work I go this afternoon

I've heard they add parafin (or some edible wax) to keep them solid. Ugh.

You are soooo right. I have puchased lots of different chocolates in Europe and it is soooo much better. Yes there is parafin added to the US batches and I guess it is to keep it from melting in hot hot conditions while transporting to the stores. :worship: You guys "On the Other Side of the Pond" win hands down on the chocolate.:thumbsup2

nah our stuff is safe, its the foreign cadburys that tastes wierd!

But foreigners have just bought Cadbury's! :sad2: They had better not change it. Remember Chocolate Oranges? They have been changed since a foreign company took them over and are nothing like they used to be. We have stopped buying since then.
