Question for UK Disers----where to have tea?:confused3

Tony has been researching and planning our trip to London pre cruise. So excited. He splurged and signed us up for the evening private tour at Buckingham Palace (our 30th anniversary)!

One thing you should definitely consider in London is the Ceremony of the Keys at the Tower of London ..... especially if you are interested in history this is actually a fascinating experience. Check out this link:

Wow you beat me to it, all the places I was going to suggest!!!!

Even if you don't decided on tea at Fortnum and Masons be sure to pop in for a look round such a lovely traditional store!!!

F&M is Quintessentially London, in fact I think all trips to London should include a stop here, And every store and have red carpets, crystal chandeliers and sales assistants in tailcoats

SW

I have never actually been into F & M ... sounds really interesting ..... must add it to my list for my next trip to London :thumbsup2

Happy Birthday Claire.
:cake:

Hope you have a lovely day

xx

No prob! Plus, with the rocks, there is little shade, so you are walking in the heat. I'm one who would rather be on my rear with a fruity beverage. :thumbsup2

We went to the one in San Antonio. Of the three, it's the smallest, but they gave a pass for certified teachers to get in free through the end of the year if we activated it by end of June, so we took advantage of it. Baby is free, and I just had to pay for my 4 year old. Still hot as heck though. When I got back in my car, the thermometer showed 110F. Needless to say, they slept well last night and are still recovering today as they BOTH are napping. :thumbsup2

I haven't been to that one...yet, i've been to the San Diego & Orlando one's though. :) That's a great bargain only having to pay for one DD. :thumbsup2

That is hot!!!! I would have melted......

We obviously both have great taste........or should that read expensive taste??? ;)

Unfortunately we spent so long chatting over afternoon tea that we had to dash up Regent Street to the Palladium for the show, so we didn't spend too long shopping - other than the fabulous Chocolate section in the entrance! Oh my! I could have spent a lot of £££ in there!

Here's one photo of my hubby, aka Barry White, in Rockin' Bar D!
He is virtually un-embarrassable!!! :lmao::lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Love it!!!!

So I've been trolling Ebay looking for Fish Extenders, trying to decide if I just want to get a cheap one or a custom one. I'm at my mom's today and she opens her closet door and there is a lime green, 4 pocket, Mickey Mouse FE hanging on the inside!! I screamed "FISH EXTENDER!!" and she jumped back and almost had a heart attack! "What the ++++ are you talking about?" my mom says.:lmao:

So of course, I explained what an FE is. Turns out that she bought it at a garage sale a couple years ago for my kids, and according to her I tried to talk her out of it. So now we'll just get something to write our names on it and we are good to go!

Wow that was a great find!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the Birthday wishes ladies. :goodvibes

I've been thoroughly spoilt already, i'm looking forward to a lovely day with Lee, we are off to Bluewater (a big shopping centre) for a few hours then out for dinner & cocktails later. :yay:

Tortola Excursion Update:

I received a reply from the charter company for our DIS excursion, and he said it is just a few feet from the beach and swimming not required - suitable for non-swimmers and infants. I have his reply quoted below with some embedded pics from the website. If you need to cancel or utilize a dinghy to go to shore, please PM me ASAP as I need to keep a separate list due to capacity purposes. Thanks! :thumbsup2

Updated on front page:
There is a dock to board the catamaran in Tortola, but...
NOTE: There is NO DOCK at White Bay Beach... you use the steps/ladder at the back of the catamaran to go ashore via water... hence the name SOGGY DOLLAR BAR. For pics, please see the linked websites mentioned above or this pic to see the short distance from boat to beach. Here is a picture of the ladder to go back into catamaran since no dock.
From my contact at Tortola Charters:
"We have non-swimmers and guests with somewhat limited mobility on this
trip all of the time and it is never a problem". Because this excursion will have two boats, one will have a dinghy IF needed. If you have mobility concerns going up/down the ladder, please PM me to put your party on the catamaran that "has a power dinghy that can take them right to the shoreline if they prefer that instead of swimming in the few yards."
Please note in their description of this excursion on their website, "(This tour is suitable for all ages including infants and non-swimmers – snorkeling is done from the beach and is optional)" which is different from the description of the Virgin Gorda Baths excursion (more strenuous).

Please PM me if you need to be on the catamaran with a dinghy due to this. We have specific numbers of capacity on each catamaran, so it is limited and I have to keep a list of who is on it. First come, first listed. (And honestly, coming from someone who got into a dinghy in a wedding dress after my beach wedding on St John... I would say it is easier to wade in the water and climb the ladder if you can. A dinghy is not the most stable stepping in/out of)

Hi Mandy, thank you for putting my mind at ease. I think we should be ok with paddling to the shore ;)
