just wanted to say thanks to mandy for posting the graphics for the tshirts, i need a smallish square logo, and found the perfect one :)

my plans for tomorrow are very simple (and i'm loving it!)
get up, take dog out, go for fishy pedicure thing, starbucks. thats about it!

You'll have to let us know how the nibbly fish goes .... I could well do with it.
My plans are up early and book the Palo stuff, maybe back to bed ..... shopping for some food and picking up some clothing ordered from Asda for DD, then attempting to help DD pack, then going to Mum's for dinner. Nothing too exciting ... I think I prefer your itinerary Karen :cool1:

Yeah will do, I managed to get a two for one offer so if it's any good I'll be going back for a second one. I booked a 35 minute session so plan on taking my book and having a bit of me time :)

Well I will see everyone at 5am ..... lets hope we all get what we want ( I don't hold out much hope for brunch though ... no worries, we will get it on baord if there's nothing online ) :wizard::wizard::wizard:

My thoughts
red- Spain to Space Mountain,, Sept 10.2011 WBTA

I wear mine from the Panama Canal cruise still when things are hectic :scared1: it brings me inner peace lol:rotfl2::lmao:

I'm so excited to get to book my shore excursions/palo ressies tonight!! Has anyone ever ate at palo alone before...was it akward? I really enjoy palo, and i'm going to go by myself (i'm used to eating alone since I travel for work), but this is my first solo cruise. :goodvibes:goodvibes

Done it before, not awkward. Actually, I've done many restaurants and what not as a solo and never felt like *where is the hole in the floor when you need one to disappear in?!* ;)

If you keep feeling unsure, you could always tag along with one of the people on here? As a solo we can make reservations for either 1 or 2, as far as I know. If that's the case; simply make it for 2 and invite somebody along. Or turn it into an even more luxery position; hook up with another solo, both make ressies for 2 and get to enjoy the same meal/experience twice without having to grab ressies after boarding and not knowing if you'll get it for a few months to come. Or is that wicked thinking on my part? :rolleyes1:laughing:

Also there is the hightea were multiple ladies on here are trying to get the same date, so it can be turned into one big group experience. That should perhaps be easier for you getting eased into it?

Honestly, having company is nice but a solo moment once in a while also is a joy. Two different animals that each have their great benefits. :thumbsup2

*knock on wood* If I can get reservations, I'm planning on doing the hightea and the brunch and you're welcome to tag along if you'ld rather not go solo.

I said I need: formal, formal, semi-formal, casual dinner (maybe 2), flip-flops, walking, slippers, and something everyday that's guaranteed to not give me blisters (maybe 2). Minimum 8 to 10 pairs. I don't think that's at all unreasonable. :teeth:

Is he getting any of the luggage allowance or are you using the space for the both of you? ;)

Thanks for the offer. :thumbsup2 That's dinner, right? I've decided not to do Palo dinner this cruise. Decided the dinner is the least attractive to me and not really "worth" it, considering what I tend to eat. High tea fits me much more and simply aren't able yet to let go of that brunch of them. Non the less; thanks for the offer, appreciate it.

Perhaps it's something for Mary to tag along with you girls?

On a whole other subject; is it possible that I "know" you? Each time I see your nick it just seems so familiar for some reason. You didn't happen to cruise in sept 09, did you? (somehow keep thinking about that cruise, probably your nick is close to some of the cruisers back then as I'm very bad in remembering names, faces etc.)

Great minds and all that :thumbsup2 Thanks :hug: It is getting a bit difficult. She is travelling to Seattle when she finishes to stay with friends for a few weeks, and she will be visiting Canada and lots of places around that area. It is a wonderful opportunity but I can't help feeling sad because this is the first time my "little girl" will be experiencing so much without me being part of it. Does that make sense :confused3:confused3

I know my mother knows exactly how you feel. I went on a 3 month vacation to the US, when I was twenty. Met a boy in Seattle and got engaged after 3 weeks ... still married to him 30 years later :lovestruc

Karen (no middle name), I'm sure your mom had a good reason for not giving you one--but do you have to put NMI on forms? Karen

I've always just left it blank .. or someone might think my middle names are Naomi, Mary, Irene

Nope I didn't....but never say never! ;) If I do then i'll have to hide them from Lee as he counted my shoe collection last year and let's just say he was not amused!!!! I am still on a ban from buying anymore......

Dare we ask how many he counted? :scared1:

WE have a brunch too sept 18th at 1030 lol Not sure if I cruised then let me go check my castaway club lol... Nope October 09...

Ok I just bought the new kodak video camera play sport, anyone have one. Looking forward to using it on the cruise. Going to try it out on the Dream cruise this Friday. I am not gadget friendly so looking for some quick easy lessons. After the Panama cruise in January I wish I had one.

Oh sure, he gets his one bag. I've already decided I'm paying for a second bag for me, if I have to. It's worth it to me to not have to decide what to leave behind. Besides, our tickets were cheap enough, I'm not going to worry about it. ;)

Must be a alike nick then, doesn't surprise me knowing myself. I'll keep the 18th in mind. :thumbsup2

Not familiar with that one. I've got a Kodak Z1, which was a nice handy gadget I got for out 09 cruise. Loved it being so small and easy to use. Obviously with those ubersmall ones the pictures suffer a bit with loss of stability, but had very nice footage on that one! If you want to learn how to use your one; type the name in at youtube. There are great tutorials on there that can be an amazing help.

For this cruise I'm planning on taking along my parents camcorder as I need to shoot quite a few things for a project. Might still take along the Z1 for it's easiness, not sure yet.

Those 2nd bag fees for transatlantic flights are cheapass*. Smart move on getting the 2nd one, allthough I hope it's not just for the shoes (read; then you'ld need a shoe-intervention :lmao: ).

* we are used to not having the 2nd bag option on any other destination. At which point you get hit with the overweight fees of anywhere from €5 to €25,- per kilo (2.2 pounds) and that one bag can still only go upto 32 kilos. Can you image what buying another 23 kg/50 pounds would cost us for any other destination!? :scared1:

I was telling Dennis about the shoe discussion here. He, being a typical man, couldn't understand why we need so many shoes. He said something like, "I need 2 pairs of shoes; one pair for dinner and one for everything else." So I asked him what he planned to wear to the beach, and the pool, and walking around Barca, Gibraltar, Madeira, etc.? He said, "I don't know." Oy! :sad2:

I have his answer: Keens! :thumbsup2 (By the way - the REI outlet has 20% off right now...) My favorite girly Keens are the Catalinas (no longer made) but when I want good hiking shoes, love my Newports.

just wanted to say thanks to mandy for posting the graphics for the tshirts, i need a smallish square logo, and found the perfect one :)

No problem! I just uploaded all the graphics I had downloaded so anyone could use them. I also tried looking for the original site I downloaded them from, and putting that hyperlink in the description for that picture so the DISigner gets credit. :thumbsup2

Hehehehe.... Anyone else here have a passion for packing cubes? :lovestruc Love them! Can really help with your packing and organizing, plus they are very lightweight.

I've given up trying to sleep.....i'm too excited!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I think I managed about an hour......:faint:
