Whew! Got dinner, brunch, and tea, although I did notice tea reservations were quickly depleted for parties of 1-2. We reserved a table for three for tea, even though our group has five, because they only offer 4-tops. I'm hoping to make another res. onboard for DD and DN (otherwise, no high tea for them :sad1:) Brunch and dinner were readily available for all size parties, even as I kept going back to try and change the teas. I also booked the Rasul :woohoo: but wasn't looking for any excursions or other spa treatments.

Here's hoping that anyone who didn't get what they wanted will be accommodated once onboard...with all those sea days, I'm feeling pretty confident they'll make us all happy :goodvibes.

I know my mother knows exactly how you feel. I went on a 3 month vacation to the US, when I was twenty. Met a boy in Seattle and got engaged after 3 weeks ... still married to him 30 years later :lovestruc

:scared1::scared1::scared1: Now I am worried ...... didn't even think that she might come back home with a significant other :scared1:

Is it just me or does it stick out to others as well than Palo availability seems..... off compared to "standard" experiences? Normally it's the brunch that is very illusive to get and tea being somewhere between getting it very easily if not easily. But look at this morning; nobody hasn't gotten the brunch but the tea is almost impossible to get it seems. With so many sea days. :confused3 Weird.

I'ld almost blame Claire ;) for it all with her Ladies Tea if I didn't know we had a large group hitting the tea-spots on our previous cruise and all succeeding with only 3 seadays. Weird, just weird.

There are lots of brunches left, it appears to be just High Tea that most can not book. You can't blame me as I didn't get one either. :lmao:

I'm only aware of one person who book High Tea for the 13th and that was a gold member....maybe DCL have kept lots back? :confused3

John and I snagged a cabana if you are interested in sharing. I am going to ask on the main board what people think of family cabana 11.

Thanks Noel, i'll speak with Lee & let you know. :)

:rotfl2: Bless ya.

Please let me know as we don't mind either being alone or sharing.

Just to say OLCI is open for those that were trying earlier on.

Good morning everyone :goodvibes Seems like everyone got more or less what they wanted except for the tea. This time last year it was the brunch that was largely unavailable.:confused3

Well I set my alarm to go off at 04:45 and when it did I somehow switched it off and went back to sleep :confused3:confused3

Woke up again at 07:30 :scared1::scared1:

So I immediately logged on expecting the worst, and to my surprise there were lots of Palo slots available for brunch and dinner. So we booked brunch for my birthday on the 18th and dinner for Tortola evening ..... same as last year. And the whole process was incrediblt painless :thumbsup2

So I am a happy bunny this morning. :thumbsup2 No having to faff about going to Rockin Bar D on embarkation .... that means I cna head straight for the cocktails :dance3:

i managed to get my palo dinner reservation for the second formal night, that was the only thing i was trying to book so i'm 100% happy :)

the brunch tab was blacked out so didnt even get the opportunity to book even if i did want to.
shame for all of you who stayed up/got up early to book something that wasnt even available.

:rotfl2: I wondered if anyone had overslept......I had the total opposite problem & could barely sleep at all, I got up about 3.30am!

We have the same night for Palo dinner, so does Mary & Stevie. :lmao:

That's strange, I just logged in and brunch is still available on most days. :confused3

Well done on all the Palo ressies. I am sure you will ALL get the others you want once onboard.

As far as High Tea goes, I think they go quickly because they only open up about a quarter to a third of the restaurant for some reason and for only one sitting, and High Tea is always popular. I bet you all get a ressie though.

I have just completed OLCI...it makes it seem more real now :)

What time has everyone chose to arrive at the port.

Also thinking about changing the hotel the night before, so will be looking today for some good alternatives - more tweaking!! LOL's

Not sure what time we will get to the port, do you have to give them that info on the OLCI?

What hotel are you currently in?

You do Claire, but you can edit it - if there are any time slots left of course;)

We're at the Renaissance for now ;)

LADIES HIGH TEA

Can those of you that managed to get reservations for the ladies high tea on the 13th Sept let me know asap. If you did snag a reservation, can you also let me know how many people for? Thanks.

I know most of us didn't, so it may be that this event is cancelled. :guilty:

I booked a table for one (it would be a 2-top, I imagine) during Gold booking, although I am not planning on using it. September 13 - I figured I would turn it over to someone who wanted to be in on the group tea.

:scared1::scared1::scared1: Now I am worried ...... didn't even think that she might come back home with a significant other :scared1:

And he could be an American :scared1:

Okay, now I'm getting super worried - this is my first time trying to do this whole booking reservations thing and I really don't have a clue.

We can't book anything until June 27th - at this rate, will there be anything left?

Our friends (one of whom is our TA) have given us money for going to Palo, and I really wanted to be able to go for a special dinner for our anniversary. Ideally, I'd like to go more than once! (my husband and I don't get out much together). But what if we can't get a booking at all?

So how do I do this? Do I get the TA to do it, or do I have to sign in to the Disney website myself?

Also, is it particularly harder to get Palo bookings for formal night? It would be nice to go out in nice clothes without worrying what the kids are doing (I know I need to make nursery bookings for our wee one as well - why is this stressing me out so much??? What if I can't get her into the nursery on the night I need?)

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated - I'm just worried we won't get any special nights out because we're first-timers, and this is the only holiday I'm getting this year.

Thanks everyone :)

You might not be able to book online, but you should be able to get a reservation once onboard. There are so many sea days and the ship still has so many available cabins.

As far as the actual online booking attempt goes, it is pretty straight forward.

oops my bad - its the high tea tab thats blacked out, not the brunch one.

has anyone else planning on getting the minibus from the airport done online check in yet?
the earliest arrival time it'll let me have is 1.30pm. well i definately plan on being a bit earlier than that!
does anyone who's cruised since they bought these arrival times in managed to get in early or do they keep you outside?

Does anybody knows, when will be the formal nights? I lost my navigators from the last cruis .

Sorry, I don't have enough time to write and read here constantly. But I remember, somebody asked me what to do with a 1 year old onboard. I really can recommend the nursery. My littleone really loved it and they really do a great job. And my Princess Léa loved the characters. So we did many pictures with them because my Baby had so much fun. Another good stuff is the Oceaners Reef. You can play there with your baby and it's safe for walking starters, but be careful, sometimes there are laying small pieces on the floor. The staff told us, that the littleone's shouldn't crawl on the decks, because they use aggressive detergent.

And there's one thing I really hated and I'm afrait, that I'll hate it this year too and this is the splashpool. If your baby isn't toilet trained it's not allowed to use the pools. You can only use the splashpool. So you can't swim with your baby. The ground on the splash pool is like sandpaper. My Léa was just 1 year old and a she was a walkingstarter. Like every other walkingstarter she felt down and she scratched her face. I'm sorry, but this isn't child-frienly. My Léa loves to sit and splash in the water. But there's no water in the splashpool, only some small fountains. I wanted to send a complain to Disney. But I didn't, because it's difficult to write a complain in a foreign language and I'm pretty sure, they will not interest. But I complaint aboard, but I believe it doesn't change. Now I'm making toilet trainig with her, becaus I want to use the pools. A cruise without swiming in the pool isn't so much fun.

But I can say my Princess Léa really enjoyed her first cruise.

What time did you go for? Just done my OLCI, we went for the first slot. :lmao:

Are you & Neil coming to the Hard Rock meet on the 9th?

Thanks Lynne that was so nice of you to do that, could you hold onto it for a little while longer for me please? I am just trying to sort out one other option for booking the High Tea. :wizard:

I am sure you will manage to get dinner and brunch, they have lots available online & even if they all go you will still be able to add yourself to a waitlist when you get onboard. Try not to worry.

It is very easy to log in to your booking on DCL's website and do the reservation yourself, you will need to do the online check in after the 27th June anyway.

I don't know about the nursery things, hopefully someone else can answer that for you. :)

Ahhh, you confused me for a minute....not that it take's much to confuse me today as I am so tired already. :hippie:
