DH and I were on the EBTA 2010 and we went to the Hoe-down Throw-Down night and about killed ourselves trying to learn it on the dance floor. We want to get prepared for this cruise.

Any suggestions on what the "hip" new dance will be so we have plenty of time to learn it? :dancer:

Me either, I googled it.......it was Miley Cirus/Hannah Montana song. We're not missing much then! :lmao:

Thats why I have never heard of it ...... no loss there then !!

:laughing: I also googled it and can understand why you about killed yourself doing it .. that's a lot of steps to learn. I would also kill myself if I had to listen to Miley Cirus/Hannah Montana :rolleyes1 .. think I'll stick with Cupid Shuffle.

On our first cruise we did the Duck dance :rotfl2:

Mandy- So sorry for your loss.

Sarah- Thanks so much for posting the pic from mixology. I definitely have to do it now!

I know someone was asking about late dining with kids. We're late dining with our 2 yo. That would be a great idea if we could all be seated near each other. I know we're planning on feeding her and then running her to the nursery so she can sleep.

You are correct - their terms say the following:

"You will automatically receive special financing terms for each qualifying Disney vacation package purchase when you use your Disney Rewards Visa Card, provided that no payment on your account is past due at the time of purchase. Valid for... all Disney Cruise Line® packages ... of $101 up to a maximum $10,000 per transaction charged to Disney Rewards Visa Card prior to commencement of your vacation and booked by you or your travel agent through Walt Disney Travel Company or Disney Cruise Line®."

My only concern is that the charge would be coded as a "vacation package purchase," and would then qualify for the 0%.

I have 2 more months of 0% interest on my statement for gifts I made to my stateroom pre-boarding our Jan cruise. And the 6 months begins at the close of the billing cycle - not the date of the charge. The charge shows as Disney Cruise Line.

Great to know! We'll charge our OBC to the Disney Visa about a week of 10 days before departing for Barcelona. :thumbsup2

We are late seating with what will be a 10 month old. Still curious how that will work.

And a side note... please keep Curt in your prayers. His grandfather passed away unexpectedly yesterday. I am trying to coordinate hotels for those of us driving in from out of state.

Mandy, I'm so sorry that your family is suffering. I hope it was a peaceful passing and you can all celebrate his life.

thats just you, me and melanie then lol, we seem to be the only early diners :rotfl:

Three more, here. I really debated whether to try the late seating this time, but it just seems too late to finish eating. DH doesn't like the idea of seeing the shows before dinner, but we might be able to stay awake easier....:goodvibes!

We're still in TX visiting DD and having a great "working" vacation, since I've been cleaning every day. How one person in a small apt. can be soooo messy and have soooo much "stuff", I'll never understand!!!:confused3 And the thought of sharing our cabin on the ship...well.... :sad2: ....thank goodness she's awesome otherwise....trying to focus on the positive! :lovestruc

DD and I will both be willing participants in the mixology and mojito tastings; DH will be the "designated walker" to get us safely back "home" afterward. :thumbsup2

Re: Secret Mickey's---Last year, we traded 4-5 gifts over the course of the 14 days (EB), but I like the idea of just doing one nicer gift this time. Just want to clarify that I'm understanding this correctly. Let me know if I'm not.

I'm glad to hear people are getting great deals, with military/interline rates. It would be nice if DCL followed suit with some other lines, who give military rates to anyone who has served in wartime. DH qualified for mil. rate with RCI based on service in Vietnam, even though he actually retired from federal civil service (DOD). It gave us the same rate as our DD in another cabin, who rec'd a state-based discount. Not that it would have mattered with our VGT restricted rate on this cruise...with which I'm very happy :).

Hope everyone has a better week than last (I know I will, since I'm now staying in a very clean apt! :rolleyes1)

I get really frustrated with the music played at the DCL parties ... with all that fantastic music Disney have to play with and they play stuff like Cha Cha Slide and Hey Baby ..... it makes me crazy. Mind you not too crazy to bop along with it as long as I have a cocktail in my hand to counteract the assault on my ears !!
I am with you on this. Of all the songs out there, these have to get on my nerves the most!!!

I'm hoping the cocktails help too:goodvibes

I've added you both to the list:thumbsup2

Good news regarding the Mixology and Mojito tastings...

I've just received this email from Dorothy :)

I will update the first page with this info. I have said a cut off date of 31st July 2011 so we know who is going:)
I will need some more information from those that have expressed and interest in the tastings as the money for it will be charged to their onboard account.

Thanks for organising Michelle, Stevie and I are still interested in attending both. Let us know when you need our reservation number to confirm numbers, names etc with DCL :thumbsup2

We were told we could pre pay our gratuities :confused3 which we thought typical as DCL won't let us buy any gifts or amenities but they'll allow us to prepay the gratuities....we didn't and have just loaded our FairFX card with them anyway.

I wish DCL could get their facts straight, we prepaid the tips and wine package for our other cruise this year no problems and in the same phone call were told we couldn't prepay the WBTA because of the MEO rate :confused3 doesn't matter now, just bought some dollars and put them away instead :thumbsup2

And a side note... please keep Curt in your prayers. His grandfather passed away unexpectedly yesterday. I am trying to coordinate hotels for those of us driving in from out of state.

Mandy so sorry to hear of your loss. Sending our condolences across the big pond to you all

they must be for 3 then, giving up now i think i should get my priorities sorted and get my daughter a christening cake:rotfl:, goin to pick balloons up too, fingers crossed they not closed for the day:scared1:

thanx for trying to help michelle and susie:hug:

I hope everything goes well at the christening today and you all have a lovely time.

When we go as a group, it is sooo funny as all our kids do the cha cha slide at any opportunity, so it's fun watching them. Not so much fun as adults just standing around :lmao: but the cocktail definitately helps :rotfl2:

I've just swapped my deck 6 sideways over to 6511, so 6011 is now available.

Has anyone got any thoughts on 6521, would it be too noisy? If not, I might change to that one. Very easy for me to find :rotfl2:

I have the most awful sense of direction, especially after a few glasses of wine and, even after the amount of time spent on the magic, I can still go in the wrong direction at the lifts. We always go starboard, so I have hopped across to the other side.

I like to do my laundry late at night when it's quiet, so I prefer just being able to nip up and down the same corridor (or stagger as the case may be) :lmao::lmao:

Everyone seems to be deserting us on the Port side. I think I am staying put in 6003 as it should be very quiet as only one cabin further forward than us, so less passing traffic. I will also be needing all the exercise I can get so being so far forward will be good in that respect!

I think we are all playing a game of Musical cabins!!!!! :rotfl2:

I think you should stay where you are!!! You are now next door to me & we can stagger back from dinner together! :lmao: I am in 6507. :thumbsup2

I am definitely staying where I am ... I imagine these 2 cabins will be very noisy !!!! :dance3::dance3::dance3:

I will get very confused as last time I was cruising I wanted to go to the port side ..... and we were starboard. By the time we got off I was used to going starboard, and now we are port I will probably want to go starboard all the time !!

We have stayed Starboard on the first 5 of our cruises and then went and chose Port. Well, I was so lost!!! I couldn't believe it. It was so funny....to John!!!!
