Drew9780 are you all flying down the 1st? We are flying down that morning out of DCA last cruise we flew down the night before and stayed at Hyatt MCO.

We are driving down the week before and going to disney. We flew down the day of our last cruise. We flew southwest out of Dulles. We parked our van there for the week.

I understand:goodvibes When the kids were nursery age I booked a few nights for dh and I to enjoy dinner without kiddos so nursery at around 8 or 9 for a few hours. I booked in advanced and glad I did because there was no availability on my specific times I wanted. Time with just my parents as well to have us sit on adult deck and socialize.:goodvibes Also booked nursery time back then for palo brunch and for a spa exotic rasul... Maybe easier on the new boats... The nursery was well worth the money imho and a bit less crowded especially in evenings. The kid clubs are pretty wild especially with mingled ages now!

Good to know and to think about ! Adult time for all four does sound nice. I actually don't remember the last time that happened!

I was talking to DH yesterday about the kids clubs and he wondered how they worked.... Basically, we have a soon to be 9 year old and if I am not mistaken they will be in clubs with 3 year olds? That seems like a very wide age span... How do the CM's make sure activities are age appropriate? I can't see our daughter wanting to do the things a 3, 4 or even 5 year old would want to do?.. Does anyone have any experience with this? This is our first cruise with our children. :grouphug:

Anyone flying in Friday night later and headed to port canaveral? our flight doesnt get in until around 7 I think......:duck:

We leave Friday night but get in at 10pm lol not sure where we r staying my dh and bro in law have found some cheap rooms by the airport in nicer hotels....

We have sailed with both ways and actually I have enjoyed the ability to have them combined. I feel it is more family friendly for siblings!:thumbsup2 When my DD first went she was able to have her brother right nearby. Many times I would check them in at one spot and then after Layla was happy Lance would move to the Lab. Activities vary and the navigators do a great job of describing the specific activities and age that fits best. The kid clubs are huge and plenty of space to mingle or not mingle!!! No worries::yes::

Yes those special memories of adult moments are just as precious to me as mom with my kiddos. Now that she is gone I smile thinking of us sitting on the deck taking turns hanging onto the kid pager and listening to stories of when she was little or stories from my childhood.:cloud9: **And attending the adult cooking classes with her while the men were off playing the golf chip it game!

I was worried the first time. I didn't know how it would work, but like everything with DCL, it does! I was glad my 8 and 5-year-olds would be together on the Dream because I thought they'd be lonely or nervous or miss us...or something. Not a chance! They were never together.

The CMs do a great job of entertaining all of the age groups. And you'd be surprised how the littles just sort of find their own thing to do when they get bored. Also, CMs will engage them in an activity, if they are looking lost or lonely.

It's a kid's paradise. My daughter would send us away when we came for her. (Thanks, honey, I love you too! ;) ). More time for, ahem, adult entertainment, I guess.

We were surprised our son took so well. He turned 3 during our last cruise and was in the club. Twice he wanted to be picked up after just an hour but more often then not he was sending us away when we would pick him up ;)

I am glad to hear this. Thank you for putting my mind at ease. Our son is 14 so he will not be with our daughter.. I figured they had it all worked out... Thanks again!

Hi everyone so my sister is getting married on our cruise. We are having a huge issue getting the private room because we only have 8 and need 10 is there anyone who is not planning on doing palo or remy that we could borrow your names to get the room? You won't get charged for it at all. If anyone would do that my sister would love you forever!! :worship:

Congrats!!! How fun!!! We are currently still deciding on that. Are you only allowed to eat at those once?? Won't they just let you pay for 10?
